Mariah's red carpet style is all about glossy-looking hair, a matte-looking rosy-cheeked complexion and a subtle smoky eye. With the right hair and make-up products, you can pull it off yourself sans celebrity entourage.
Hair
To keep her locks looking glossy, Mariah says she likes to give them a pampering soak in olive oil. In fact, she reckons that this is why Italian women have such lustrous-looking hair. If, however, you prefer to save your olive oil for cooking, try an oil-enriched hair treatment like Dove Nourishing Oil Care Hair Mask, R59.
Once you've got hair so healthy-looking it shines, brush it into a side path and sweep it into an elegant-looking up do. To hold it in place, give it a quick spritz of something like ghd Final Fix Hairspray, R150.
Face
To copy Mariah's even-toned matte-looking complexion, look out for a medium to heavy weight foundation, something like Clarins Ever Matte Foundation, R335. It promises to stick around all day and survive even the most humid of weather. If you still need a bit of extra coverage, be it under your eyes or for the odd random spot, gently dab on a little light-reflecting concealer that'll help blur the look of any imperfections.

Eyes
To create a simple yet slightly smoky-looking eye, start by using a soft black eye pencil, something like Woolworths Colour Gel Eyeliner in Black, R75, to draw a line across your eyelids. If you've got small eyes like Mariah, don't use it to line the inner rim of your eyelids as this will only make your eyes look even smaller. Shadow-wise, use a pale grey shade over your entire eyelid before applying a darker charcoal shade in your creases.
Next, apply a soft shimmering crystal shade to your brow bones as well as the inner corners of your eyes to help "open them up". Last, but not least, give your lashes two coats of any mascara that promises both volume and length, something like Maybelline Illegal Lengths Mascara, R100. It contains lots of tiny fibres to help create the impression of fuller, longer-looking lashes.
Cheeks

Lips
Mariah told Cosmopolitan UK that she "couldn't live without lip gloss".
