Three's apparently not a crowd
Their new romance has shocked many around the world. But Mariah Carey and James Packer's union appears to have the seal of approval of the billionaire's ex-wife, Jodhi Meares. The former bikini model posted what could only be described as an awkward snap of all three posing together on board Packer's yacht the Arctic P in Italy on Sunday.
She simply captioned the snap "Amore" along with three love hearts. James and Jodhi wed in a lavish ceremony in Sydney in 1999, where Elton John performed for their 750 guests. The fashion designer called it quits just three years later with the pair separating in 2002 and divorcing shortly after, the breakdown blamed on the casino mogul's company OneTel going under and different desires regarding having children.
But it seems the former couple have put the past behind them, and appear to have rekindled a friendship in recent years. It's understood Packer supported his ex-wife as she launched her fitness wear company The Upside, and has also provided her the services of his private jet on several occasions following her recent split from partner of several years, rocker Jon Stevens.
Following his split from Jodhi, 47-year-old Packer went on to marry Australian model and singer Erica Baxter, but after six years of marriage they filed for divorce in September 2013. The businessman shares three children with Erica; Indigo, six, Jackson, five and Emmanuelle, two.
Now it's been revealed that the primarily US-based businessman has found love with Carey, who he met through his business partner, Hollywood director Brett Ratner, and was "aggressively pursuing her for months", TMZ reported. They confirmed their surprise coupling by taking a romantic hand-in-hand stroll through picturesque Italian streets on Friday.
Then on Saturday, the pair were pictured on board a speedboat as they relaxed together in the sun off the coast of Capri. It appears that both James and Mariah have their children with them on the vacation. The Dream Lover singer, 45, has twins Moroccan and Monroe, four, which she shares with now ex-partner Nick Cannon.
The couple announced their intention to split in August last year. On the same day that the Grammy Award-winner went public with her new relationship, Cannon was spotted with a mystery brunette at Disneyland. (Mail Online)
