Daniel Bedingfield to work with Mariah Carey
New Zealand born pop star Daniel Bedingfield is getting some good work offers lately. It looks like we may even hear him on the next Mariah Carey album. Daniel told Undercover News the reports are true. "Yeah that's going to happen" he said. "We have the same record company and they asked me to write a track for her which I have. It might be a duet. It will be for her next album."
While the Mariah thing is a goer, the chances of hearing him on Madonna's next record as next to nil. However he does say her label Maverick did try to sign him. "They wanted to sign me. There was a rumour that we were going to do a duet but that wasn't true. I know she definitely wanted to sign me."
Expect to hear a few Bedingfield numbers on numerous other artists albums over the coming years. He sees writing for others as a real business line extension. "It is more like if I have spare tracks that I don't want to use for my album because they are too diverse. The H and Clare track was way too diverse." (Undercover) Many thanks to Mariah Buzz.
