Mariah Carey is already planning her wedding

Mariah Carey sure isn't letting the glare off of her 35-carat engagement ring cloud her vision! The pop diva knows what she wants and it's a princess-worthy wedding that she's already busy planning. Yes, even though the news just broke that the singer's Australian billionaire boyfriend slipped a supersized sparkler on her finger, Carey is now hard at work on the details of her fairytale nuptials to James Packer and they are just as over-the-top as her epic engagement diamond. Don't believe us? Word has it that a 14K gold wedding dress is in the works. (Yes, you read that right.)

This to-be-wed couple has been engaged for less than week and already have a venue picked out? We must say, very impressive, you guys... According to The Daily Mail, it'll be a destination wedding for the bride, who is planning to tie the knot down under, in her fiancé's Australian homeland. The lavish bash will reportedly take place near the Great Barrier Reef on Hayman Island, with (extremely lucky) wedding guests being shuttled in on Packer's personal fleet of planes. Can someone shut down one of the seven natural wonders of the world for a private party? If anyone can make it happen, our money's on Carey who'll probably just sing the fish into submission.

Of course, Carey's wedding dress needs to live up to the hype of her 35-carat, platinum engagement ring. But with 14K gold thread, we don't think it'll have any trouble competing for the spotlight. One of the gorgeous gowns the singer has been eyeing comes from a 17-year-old fashion student named Sabrina DeSage, who designed a couture confection that features one of Carey's wedding dress must-haves - butterflies (who would've guessed?).

"Sabrina is an incredibly talented designer despite her age," an insider shared with The Daily Mail. "She comes from a very well to-do family and her mother Debra knows James Packer socially. Sabrina's design has hundreds of gold butterflies, all sewn with 14-karat gold thread, flowing down the back of the silk gown and through the train. It's going to be absolutely stunning."

The young fashion designer's proud mom even posted a sneak peek of the design on Instagram (minus the glided gold detailing). The grand total for the custom-made masterpiece? The insider source estimates the couple will be dropping around $500,000 on Carey's wedding gown. Considering that Packer paid a reported $7.5 million on that supersized ring, a half million dollars for a worn-once dress should be no sweat, right?

I read this on Daily Mail and this is too hard to believe. Now, I believe the little girl is probably very talented and congrats to her. But her other designs were very amateur and home-made looking, but she's in school so it makes sense. Her parents seem to be thirsty for the spotlight and were probably the ones who gave the story. Being someone of Mariah's caliber with any pick of designer she chooses, I doubt she'll spend that much on a fashion student's designs. Is Vera Wang too busy for Mariah? I want her to wear a Michael Cinco number. She should have at least 3-4 wedding gowns.
