They made it through the rain

Cowering beneath a large umbrella, there was no way Mariah Carey was going to let a little rain ruin her look on Thursday night. The Through The Rain singer looked determined to keep her hair looking polished as she took children Monroe and Moroccan Cannon out in London for the evening. Mariah was the ultimate diva in her oversized shades, even though the miserable conditions certainly won't have been what she's used to in Los Angeles.

The singer was enjoying a well-earned night off from performing, after completing her London shows at the O2 Arena on Wednesday. She cut a sleek figure in all black and added heeled boots to further elongate her legs in leggings as she hit the sodden streets of the British capital. Mariah was sensibly dressed in a black overcoat but had the help of a few aides carrying large umbrellas to help her get through the rain.

Four-year-old Monroe lead the way with one hand on the umbrella, which forced Mariah into an awkward crouch as they descended at pace. She was plodding along in her leopard print UGG boots and kept a fur-lined hood covering up her curls to make her mum proud. Mariah would also be proud of her little girl's crown and sceptre, which she kept in hand while a member of the security team scooped her up in their arms.

Moroccan tried to get his sister's attention from the floor as he matched his twin in a cool khaki-coloured bomber jacket. Pop icon Mariah is now finished in London but is due in Luxembourg on Saturday night to continue the Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour. From there, it was due to appear on her birthday in Brussels, but she has reportedly been warned strongly against the performance.
