Mariah Carey cancels Brussels show

Mariah Carey has canceled her show in Brussels this Sunday due to security concerns, the singer said on Twitter Friday. "I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone involved with the tour. I hope to see you soon and send my prayers and eternal love, laughter and light to my Lambs," wrote Carey.

Belgian police arrested three people Friday in separate raids in Brussels, including one man carrying explosives in a backpack sitting at a tram stop, according to Belgian media reports. Attacks at the Brussels airport and subway station on Tuesday claimed 31 lives, including two siblings from New York, and nearly 300 were wounded.

TMZ predicted a cancellation earlier this week, reporting that Carey's security team was "strongly against" her keeping the date, citing the terror attack, Carey's level of fame and her engagement to billionaire James Packer. Sunday will be the pop star's 46th birthday.
