Mariah Carey's balcony flash

Mariah Carey recently wowed fans in a big way when she came out onto a balcony wearing a shear arms-length top. Surely the sexy siren had to know that she was beaming for the entire world to see. Obviously her balcony flash was met with great fanfare as onlookers reportedly hooted and hollered at the tacky display.

Carey is promoting a new album and if she was wanted to give everyone a thrill and further dismantle her "good girl" image, I would say she was successful. "The Emancipation of Mimi", Mariah Carey's fourteenth album, has brought the curvy curly-haired diva back into the limelight after her career suffered an abrupt hiccup following the disappointing "Glitter" and "Charmbracelet". Now, with a number-one debut and three chart-topping singles, Carey has delivered her best work in quite sometime.

Mariah has obviously found some liberation regarding her sexuality. In Carey's recent video - she is seen on a beach, in a car and on a soccer field, as she reminisces about the one who got away, interspersed with flashbacks of happier moments. In one of those scenes, an older - and apparently nude - Mariah sings with one leg up on the edge of a pool, as a younger, swimsuited Mariah frolics with her love in flashbacks.

"That shot was totally and completely inspired by 'Something's Got to Give', Marilyn Monroe's last movie that never got finished," Carey gleefully explained. "It's a homage to her, because I've never seen anyone re-create it. So many people have emulated so many of Marilyn's classic moments, but it's just that I'm a big fan of hers, and I thought it was really pretty at night with the pool. No one could ever be as fabulous as Marilyn was, but it's in honor and homage to her."

The album has been said to be comprised of upbeat tempos, strong ballads and emotion laden lyrics. The producers include Kanye West, The Neptunes and Jermaine Dupri. The album includes club anthems, strong ballads, and relationship conflicts and shows off catchy hooks and dance-friendly beats. The one overwhelming factor in each song that is clear - is Carey's amazing vocal ability and range.

Carey will open the American Music Awards with her first live performance of "Don't Forget About Us" on November 22 at 8 p.m. on ABC. One can only hope she performs in the same attire.
