Charlotte and Mariah step out with man's best friend
Jaw-dropping vocal powers aren't the only things Charlotte Church and Mariah Carey have in common, as the two singers also share a fondness for man's best friend. The chart-topping pair, who have both enjoyed dramatic career comebacks in recent times, showed their affection for their furry companions when they stepped out on Tuesday afternoon.
Mariah was accompanied by her four-legged friend Jack when she arrived for an MTV awards ceremony in New York. The 35-year-old, who usually wears skimpy gowns to showbiz events, was looking rather more demure in jeans and a cropped black top. Her canine companion was dressed to impress, however, in a specially-made green velvet jacket with an orange fur-trimmed hood.
And it would appear his A-list owner isn't the only one smitten with the pooch, as a group of Japanese fans have set up a website in his honour. "I laughed out loud for ten minutes when I found out about Jack's website," revealed the glamorous chanteuse. "He really is a very cool dog. It talks all about him - like his swimming antics - on his website. They love Jack."
Across the pond in Britain, meanwhile, Charlotte was spending some quality time with her pedigree pal. The Crazy Chick singer was cradling her pet puppy in her arms when she emerged from the house in Cardiff she shares with rugby ace Gavin Henson. "Gavin bought me a dog, a little Jack Russell," said the 20-year-old. "She's called Tina. She cried all night last night and I had to look after her." (Hello! magazine)
