About B from USA: Slowly but surely®™ The Vindication of B ®™

Re: Faded (56,891) (56,899) by B from USA
After listening to Faded (several times) I agree that it would have been an excellent single. It should have been the second or third single. I love YDKWTD but unfortunately radio wouldn't play it. I don't think any of the ballads on MIAMTEC sound like We Belong Together. I don't think You're Mine (Eternal) sounds like WBT but when she releases a ballad as a single it's automatically compared to WBT.

Slowly but surely, lol.

Re: Faded (56,889) (56,891) by B from USA
I think You're Mine (Eternal) shares more similarities with Don't Forget About Us. Both have multiple hooks and sound hynoptic.

It is my favorite Janet song and video. I'm going to give it a listen. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Faded (56,822) (56,885) by B from USA
Ty, I think #Beautiful was the most radio friendly single (song) she released in years (since 2008). I might be in the minority here but I think You're Mine (Eternal) was an excellent single. It wasn't another We Belong Together replica which is what Faded and almost every ballad she's recorded since 05 have been with the exception of For The Record, Thanx 4 Nothin, Languishing, Cry., and Camouflage.

I adore you. No shade intended whatsoever. I figured since you're a member of the lambily you'd understand it's an inside joke among us, lol. Each member of the lambily is one of the characters in Mean Girls. I'm too gay to function to backstabbing hos, lol.

Re: Article: "Fantasy" 20 years later (56,872) (56,873) by B from USA
It is sad that so called music magazines and publications, especially Billboard, fail to give Mariah the recognition she not only deserves but has earned. The Grammy Awards are no longer an award of merit. They chose Drunk In Love as the R&B Song of the Year and it wasn't. They snub Mariah and award lesser artists which is why I no longer watch the ceremony. MIAMTEC deserved to be nominated for and win Best R&B Album.

Baby, you're our Regina George. Always putting people in their place and defending our girl with class. The Regina George part of this comment was not meant as a diss. If someone called me Regina George I'd take it as a compliment. I'm Gretchen because my hair is full of Mariah Carey facts, lol.

"Fantasy" 20 years later (56,865) by B from USA
Fantasy (Remix) still sounds fresh today and is the blueprint. Mariah deserves this type of recognition.

Re: Mariah and James red carpet debut (56,838) (56,856) by B from USA
I agree. Mariah's relationship with Packer seems different. They seem like equals, even though he's a billionaire. Tommy was a manipulator (predator) and Nick was an opportunist. The only relationship in which she seemed to have found an equal prior to Packer was Jeter. Mariah and Jeter were a modern day Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio. Of all of her relationships theirs was my favorite and both were supernovas in the 90's.

Anne Hathaway (56,854) by B from USA
I've always been a fan of Anne Hathaway but hearing she's basically a lamb made me love her even more. I wonder if she was already a fan when Charmbracelet was released or if that was the album (era) that made her a fan (lamb). I feel that if you were or became a fan (or a lamb) during the Glitter and Charmbracelet eras when it was cool to make fun of Mariah it earns you an automatic spot in the lambily. Let's not forget Mariah named us back in 97-98, a decade before Pop stars and rappers were naming their fans. Just another example of Mariah's impact and originality.

Re: Mariah at the intern premiere (56,850) (56,853) by B from USA
I've been saying she's primed for a comeback for awhile now. She just needs an amazing song. I don't care if it's Hip-hop, R&B, Disco, or EDM as long as it's a good song she'll score a hit.

Re: If you could add anything to your Mariah (56,844) (56,851) by B from USA
I was so upset that they didn't have a concert book when I was in Vegas. When I was there the merchandise was lame.

Someone recently stole my Rainbow and Glitter cds. I would pick The First Vision.

Re: Mimi, I beg to differ (56,834) (56,840) by B from USA
During the Charmbracelet era she was wearing peasant tops/blouses, sweatshirts, and jersey dresses. Some were flattering, some weren't. By the way, that look is also one of my favorite Mariah looks ever (she looks good in red).

Re: Collabs (56,806) (56,813) by B from USA
Miguel, Frank Ocean, The Weekend, Bruno Mars, and Janet. I forgot about Sam Smith. I would also liked to add Adele. An epic ballad with epic vocals.

Re: The shade of it all (56,797) (56,802) by B from USA
I don't think Mariah is in dire need of younger fans. She needs to reconnect with her fans, she has to wow us to get us interested and motivated.

I didn't know there were or are alternative versions of YDKWTD. I actually liked Wale's verse.

I found her, you paved the way, now it's time for you to sit back and enjoy the comment. Kind of condesending or shady whatever. I don't really care for Perry.

Re: Faded (56,784) (56,791) by B from USA
Wasn't the artwork for MIAMTEC shot when she filmed #Beautiful when the original cover looks (looked) like it came from the same shoot.
