How I wish that Rolling Stone article had read Mariah Carey is releasing "Daydream: Collector's Edition". Add Slipping Away and any other unreleased remixes and songs from that era and release it. I think she also needs new producers and collaborators. A mature sound could work as could embracing Disco. I think we can all agree that we want to see Mariah back at #1. Mariah delivered musically with MIAM but the messy rollout (the multiple delays) and poor single choices ruined the albums chances for success. She needs a sense of agency, she needs to pique interest instead of doing what she's known for to mixed results. She should also stop with the remixes, if a single fails a remix isn't going to save it or breathe life into it. (Friday 21 August 2015; 2:35)

Article: Mariah's Israel show not quite living up to the "fantasy" (56,139) by B from USA Judging Mariah's entire show based on her vocals on Touch My Body, which isn't a difficult song to sing, makes no sense to me. If she was able to deliver on Vision Of Love and Hero, how wasn't the performance/concert a success? I can't take this type of argument seriously. I would also like to add that comparing Mariah's voice today to her voice twenty some odd years ago is like comparing apples to oranges. (Wednesday 19 August 2015; 16:24)

? (56,135) by B from USA I've spent the morning watching Mariah videos on YouTube. I started listening to acoustic versions of the songs from Memoirs and MIAM and hearing the songs stripped of the glossy production showcases Mariah's talent as a songwriter and highlights why some of her songs are difficult to sing, sometimes when she sings she sounds like she's harmonizing with herself. Mariah's music is often referred to as soulless but I feel they overlook the soul she sings with because of how technically impressive her voice is. Thoughts (56,121) by B from USA Mariah seems to succeed when she strikes a balance between writing songs for herself (the type of music she wants to make) and songs the label wants her to make. Examples include Music Box, Daydream, Butterfly, and TEOM. She needs to find that balance again because her last two studio albums ignored label conventions by not having any really strong singles except Obsessed and #Beautiful. Unlike Whitney, Mariah wrote and produced her music. 2. Music Box - Music Box is an R&B influenced Pop album. Copying Celine or following a Celine trend? I don't think so. 3. Rainbow is to Butterfly what E=MC2 is to TEOM. 4. E=MC2 - Copying Bey? Beyonce copies (copied) Mariah. Her first two solo albums were ripped from the Mariah Carey playbook. 1. Butterfly is Mariah's magnum opus. It's a lyrical masterpiece. 2. Charmbracelet is underappreciated. 3. Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse is a classic. I think Merry Christmas and Daydream deserve inclusion. Merry Christmas is a classic. It's the best Christmas album of all time. Daydream because it's R&B Pop perfection. It's a classic. Everyone that hates that album is because of her use the whisper regiester/whispered vocals. On most songs she barely raises her voice above a whisper. The One and You Had Your Chance are two of my favorite songs. Mariah should have released X-Girlfriend as a single from Rainbow. (Sunday 16 August 2015; 0:52)

Idea (56,068) by B from USA Mariah needs a new sound. PBR&B, also referred to as R-Neg-B, hipster R&B, indie R&B, and alternative R&B, which is an emerging, stylistic alternative to contemporary R&B would be good fit for Mariah. #Beautiful with Miguel is proof that if she deviates from the formula she's used since TEOM she can score a hit. Mariah should work with Frank Ocean, Miguel, The Weeknd, and Bruno Mars and The Smeezingtons and the writers and producers they work with. (Saturday 15 August 2015; 18:52)

Lyrics (56,047) by B from USA Mariah needs to write lyrics like she did during (from) 1990-1997. TEOM, E=MC2, and MIAM had songs with lyrics written in a similar fashion and those songs were the highlights from the perspective albums. She needs to stop with slang words and product placement lyrics. Her lyrics need to mature. Is it me or are her lyrics getting younger the older she gets? I'm not saying she can't write a funny song now and then but not entire albums like Memoirs. (Saturday 15 August 2015; 1:29)

Why You Mad (56,046) by B from USA Why You Mad (Infinity Remix) isn't as bad as Triumphant. Mariah's last great remix was #Beautiful with Jezzy. If a remix isn't as good as or better than her older remixes she shouldn't release it. She's the Queen of the Remix and these subpar remixes aren't doing her any favors.
