Migrate and O.O.C. (87,819) by Licia from USA These are the next songs I'm exploring. I might throw in I'll Be Loving You Long Time. That one really had my face screwed up when I first heard it. Lol. Some of you really hype up Migrate so I'm hoping I hear something that will finally make me love it. I have no explanation as to why I never paid attention to O.O.C. after hearing it once. It just doesn't pull me in or make me want to listen to it over and over. I also don't hate The Butterfly album. I mean I love Butterfly, Babydoll, Breakdown, The Beautiful Ones, Fourth of July, and Honey. I enjoy dang near the whole album. It has just always been overhyped to me because people claimed she just started to change musically on this album, but the musical transition had already begun with Daydream. I feel people were more enthralled by the image change that the Butterfly era brought. Butterfly just wasn't groundbreaking for me on the music front. She was allowed to explored more of what she wanted on this album, but it didn't start with Butterfly. (Thursday 31 January 2019; 11:07)

Vanishing (87,775) by Licia from USA Ok so I've listened to Vanishing a few times in a row and it's still blah to me. Of course vocally it's stunning, but other than that I feel nothing. My next song to tackle is The Roof. I've only listened to the song twice since Butterfly was released. I've never gotten the hype. I actually never got the hype for the Butterfly album period, but there are a good amount of songs I enjoy. That's a discussion for another day though. Now on to The Roof. Now it makes sense as to why she was in a full diva gown in the video of her and JD for his birthday. I don't get it at the time because it didn't look like they were in a place that needed the gown. I guess it never moved me or I felt it was boring, but listening to it now I can appreciate the simplicity of the song. Don't even get me started on that bridge. New found appreciation for IDWC (87,672) by Licia from USA For some reason this morning I've been playing IDWC back to back and I don't know why. Like this song hasn't been listened to by me since at least 1993. I usually pass it up when it pops up on my playlist. There's no way her being recorded having sex could warrant that type of wording. As I said before her being on tape having sex would be embarrassing, but it won't ruin her life. It's Only Make Believe (87,594) by Licia from USA Ok so I play this little game called SongPop on Facebook and they have a MC category (which you know I breeze through that one lol) and this song came up. I've never heard of the song or the main singer (which is Sam Moore). It's nice. Mariah is mainly background and singing the chorus in her whistles which is kind of cool. I completely understand and I'm sympathetic to where she was at mentally, but she had to have had some moments where she saw these people for who they were. I refuse to believe that Mariah was that oblivious to what was going on around her. Especially when a lot of people tried to warn her. All in all I hope for the best. If these "intimate videos" surface and it's not of her doing anything illegal such as drugs, I'd keep it moving. She's an adult and I'm sure she's having sex. That meant she respects the hell out of everyone nominated. Anyway although I do agree it's due time for Mariah to be inducted, I'm not going to act as if Missy hasn't contributed to the industry as well. Probably not 17 number ones contribution, but she's accomplished alot still. Congrats to her. As for Dallas Austin he has a pretty impressive resume as well, but I agree that I wouldn't have chosen him over Mariah. He's just as deserving though. (Tuesday 15 January 2019; 16:04)

I mean if I completely got rid of all his music I'd have to get rid of a lot of other artists music that I love because he's written for and produced for so many of them. It sucks. I didn't believe that they actually got married and because I was young I didn't care. It wasn't until the video of him and the young girl came out that I stopped buying his music and once he put that gospel CD out that same year trying to act as if he was godly really sealed the deal for me. I'm not going to lie and say I'm going to stop listening to the music I already have from him because I love his music. It sucks that he's such a trash ass person. A lot of people still worked with him despite the tape because they probably didn't think the situation was as bad as it is so I don't hold anything against any of the other artists. If they work with him now is when I'll see them differently. Not only does he deserve jail, those trash ass parents and adults in his team need time too. They all knew what was going on. I agree she probably feels the general public will go after her more. We give her alot of crap for the lipsyncing, but I believe that if she was just honest with us we'd be more understanding of the situation.
