Even back then it was the first time I didn't like a Mariah album more then the last, which for me was true through Butterfly. There's something generic about it to me. I even hate the recording. I suppose the artwork is fitting then. Ugh I hate being negative. I did listen to it very recently and appreciated CTTA more than I ever have. There a little positivity. She said she was still waiting for the house. Earlier in the interview she laughed in annoyance at the Mimi nickname and said she never heard Morgan or Patricia call her that. As if other people years later can't give you a nickname. And that Mariah used to refer to herself as a white girl. All I know is that for as long as I can remember since day 1 is knowing that Mariah was multi racial. The whole conversation was so odd to me. But who knew. (Wednesday 7 November 2018; 03:14)

Edward Scissorhands (85,568) by enwar00 from usa The kid inside me got excited when I realized that Mariah name drops Edward Scissorhands in A No No. Both MC and the movie came out in 1990 and were two of my favorite things from my childhood, and have remained so as an adult. The fact that they connect almost 30 years later is so random and funny to me. Mariah is one clever songwriter and I haven't appreciated or connected with any other artist's lyrics as a whole as much as hers. Another reason that I am a L4L. (Friday 2 November 2018; 23:34)

Regardless of what's caused the changes, I can't deny what I hear, nor will I dwell on it either. Some songs sound better than others, and hopefully there will once again be improvements. This doesn't take away from what once was, which, to me at least, was the most amazing and beautiful voice I've ever heard in my life. (Wednesday 31 October 2018; 00:13)

Ok, I'm going to admit something, I've been listening to that album more lately. I feel like every few years things can sound different, mostly you hear and feel differently. I've been getting a warm quality to that album that feels almost cozy. Anywho You Got Me popped in my head so I'll listen to it in the car later. For now I'll put on Shining Through The Rain. Re: "The Remixes" 15 years later (84,729) (84,769) by enwar00 from usa I actually just listened to both discs a couple times this week and do enjoy it more often than the standard Greatest Hits. The Mr. Dupri mix of ABMB is my favorite. I also love Miss You, rediscovered how much I love the My All dance mix on there, but still can't get down with that remix of The One. I wish CDs still sold so they would package remixes from the next 15 years, especially since those weren't as really available to purchase, at least in the U.S. (Friday 12 October 2018; 01:14)

With You was so boring upon first listen (opposite of GTFO which I was intrigued with right away) but over time I'm enjoying different aspects of it. Her vocals in the verses are so pretty, and I honestly think it can be a grower at radio and with the gp. It's a cute video, honestly it seems throwback to me somehow and reminds me of the remix videos to AYNAF and JTTW where's she's walking around goofing off to the camera and not taking herself so seriously. She seems to be smiling throughout and exuding happiness from within. Whether that's due to Tanaka or just where she is in life right now, I'm happy for her. (Friday 12 October 2018; 01:06)

Can't Let Go live (83,152) by enwar00 from usa I haven't been following or watching clips from the new Vegas show but I randomly just stumbled upon this. Maybe I'm one of those silent lambs or perhaps a blind and deaf lamb because I can't tell that she's lip synching but for sure I must be crazy because to me it just sounds like she's singing and dare I actually like it, not to mention I think she looks good and I find myself enjoying the clip and rewatching it.
