Since the fans are paying attention to Glitter now she needs to go ahead and put it on streaming services. Alot of us actually love Glitter and know what an awesome body of work it is. Hopefully the #JusticeforGlitter movement will push her to start including it. I too would love to hear what Mariah/Prince came up with. That's a hell of a musical combo. Their phenomenal writing skills, her Glitter vocals, his vocals, and his wide use of several instruments, that might have been amazing.

A FLAB like song is exactly what was missing. Portrait is nice, but it's no FLAB. Special K no one needs the thoughts of her being intimate with Banaka Tanaka. That's so gross. Lol.

I said the same thing Randy. She's killing these interviews. There hasn't been one yet that's made me cringe or put me in a space to where I couldn't finish watching. She's been focused, funny and knowledgeable.

I too got the the sense that he does like her as more than a friend. There was a moment in the video where he just gave her that look of adoration. I saw it. Lol. Anyway I hope they do make that Cardi and Kim remix happen. That might help nudge me into liking A No No.

Just got done watching. I'm so happy she may do Glitter medley on tour. It sucks that it took 17 years for us to appreciate it and for her to finally feel she can be proud of the album, but better late than never. I appreciate Andy for speaking on that good side/bad side crap. I loved how she dropped that knowledge about publishing and people recording her songs. Businessriah/Smartriah kills Divariah all day. The highlight for me was when she mimicked Aretha lol. All in all it was a great and fun interview.

I enjoy when we differ on what tracks we like or don't like. I might motivate someone else to go back and take another listen to a song that I love. That sure happens for me alot. A No No and Runway seems to be favorites and I'm not feeling them, but because so many people like the songs I'm willing to listen One Mo Gen ( I'm corny lol) to them.

I have not watched the full GMA performance yet , but I agree she sounded great in this video. It always seems as though the vocals the first time around are better than what they piece together.

The recent interviews (86,210)
by Licia from USA
| |
|
|
I've been watching some of her radio interviews for the Caution release and I have to say I love them. We are getting funny and intelligent Mariah and not that ditzy diva b*tch (whom I find funny at times, but that persona can get overplayed). I'm glad she either figured out or someone helped her to see she's awesome to watch without all that extra crap. I was crying laughing on the part of the TRL interview where Sway highlighted some of her appearances. She was so scared thinking they were going to show that popsicle episode. I applaud her for making a joke of it and handling it so well because I would have fake fainted before they started playing the package.

RuPaul is a huge fan so I could see him helping. Lol. At least she put some effort into making it look believable. Lipped or not I enjoyed this particular performance better than the one on tour. I believe she sang more on Fallon than she did on the tour one and I definitely know she lipped a lot that night. Lol.

I started cackling when he stopped singing, but his voice was still going. If she lipped any of her parts you really couldn't tell. I hate her having to lip, but if she needs to, at least make it look convincing. Who's school of lip syncing did Live Nation make her attend? Lol.

I'm loving 8th Grade. I didn't even realize it was a Timbaland production until he talked at the end. They did a great job on that one. It's just so smooth and groovy to listen to. I'm killing everyone playing the same three songs back to back (The Distance, One Mo Gen, and 8th Grade). Like I can't just listen to these once. I have to repeat each one before I move on to the next song.

She did good. I couldn't stop dancing. She mostly sang so I'm happy. I would have liked more movement, but I got some vocals so I'll let the movement part go.

Thank you for posting. That was a really good interview. The only thing I didn't like was at one point she implied that she was kept out of the studio by Stella and her crew (she did not say Stella, but once you watch you'll know who she's referring to) to do other things besides music that she normally wouldn't do. Like she was forced to do these things. I blame Stella for a lot, but Mariah had to approve a good majority of the stuff that was done. Her not taking personal responsibility for her part in that situation threw me off. She got that victim thing down. Other than that small blip it was a great interview.

Caution is a solid album (86,010)
by Licia from USA
| |
|
|
Here's the order I am enjoying Caution. 1. The Distance 2. One Mo Gen (this song is on its way to knocking The Distance from the top spot) 3. 8th Grade (this is just a smooth groove) 4. GTFO 5. Portrait 6. With You 7. Giving Me Life 8. Stay Long Love You 9. Caution (not completely sold on this one) 10. A No No (this one is still a mo, but I don't hate it)
All in all this is a solid album and I am a happy, proud lamb. She did great.

I actually love The Distance and GTFO. With You just bores the hell out of me, but it's decent. A No No is the only one at the moment I can't get into. Yes Cha Cha is going to get taken out if I don't like these other six songs.

I'm so surprised they picked Glitter to revive, but they could not have picked a more awesome album. (Wait they could have CB anyone? Lol.) I mean the woman got Rick James to help on the album. Whereas CB had the lyrics, Glitter had vocals for days and some great lyrics for the original songs. Don't even get me started on those remakes. We didn't appreciate Glitter enough. I Glitter. See Enwar and Bill I like stuff. I like that whole album. Lol.
