About Edouard from France: Favourite song ever : Always Be My Baby......and Butterfly.....and..

Are you guys even lambs? (64,568) by Edouard from France
To whom it may concern. Why are you waisting your time, and ours? What are you doing here? I mean, you can't seem to understand one thing: Mariah is not waisting her time "talking" to you the way she used to do because you just ain't lambs. She only has conversations with lambs, not [censored]. Her way of conversing with her lambs (people who adore/respect her artistry and the challenges she's had, choices she makes, with trust and understanding, even when it may not seem to make sense at first). Now she expresses herself less directly (like the voice messages she used to leave, 15 years ago), because she has a life outside of her fame. I understand that, I respect that. And in her own way, she encourages us to do the same: make choices, follow your hearts and dreams, even when it only makes sense to yourself. What a great way of giving back. for those who care, for those who and "read" her, for those who have a heart, and brain, get a life. In the literal sense of the word. Peace out.

Mariah knows what she's doing (63,960) by Edouard from France
Probably more than any other musician of her status. Don't people get that she is taking back the reins, getting her career front and center before offering us new music. People pay attention to her. Of course the tools have changed in terms of publicity. She's playing by the rules of today's scene, but always with a MC twist. It's not that she doesn't give a [censored] (like some other "artists" want us to believe), she just doesn't take things so seriously. I think that's the only way for her to keep her sanity in this "Hollywoodland". Like she's okay to play the game, but only on her own terms. What's wrong with that? That's smart. Mariah knows what she's doing and always has.

Re: Vanity 6 outfit (63,939) (63,947) by Edouard from France
Haha yeah I understand. Your post makes me laugh (really). The thing is that Mariah has one career with many chapters. To be honest I was surprised by the outfit, but not shocked. Amused. It's fun and carefree. In a way Mariah is a rockstar. I feel that it's "a little too much", yet I don't find it trashy because Mariah never gives me that vibe. I feel like she's playing dress up and has fun with it. She's being true to her spirit: grown ass woman with a child's heart. I get that.

Vanity 6 outfit (63,936) by Edouard from France
Sheila E and Vanity 6 came out in 1982 with the same outfit. It wasn't such a big deal then. Almost 35 years ago. Get the reference please. She gave us legs, and less cleavage. She knows what she's doing. Plus it's 1Oak. I mean. Come on and smile people, just like she is.

Let's go back to what Lee Daniels said (63,476) by Edouard from France
Remember Glaad Awards? Lee Daniels had amazing things to say about Mariah and the fact that her involvement in human causes goes beyond what the general public knows and that she doesn't necessarily needs to advertise it. I personnaly think that it's okay for celebrities not to always comment on the news because it can also play against them and make them look "attention-thirsty" (for a lack of a better word). What can she say anyway? Of course she's sorry.

Thank you Bill, you got my point.

She ain't no microwave (63,463) by Edouard from France
Some of us lambs tend to see Mariah as a thing. She has to deliver/perform like a microwave would. I see Mariah as a friend. Someone who's voice has echoed in my head for most of my life. This gifted woman continues to give. But are we ready to listen, get it, receive it? I am. Her relationship to fame, to her fans, lambs, us has evolved. I'm happy for her that we no longer are the only one who pay attention to her and sometimes her only refuge. She's still learning to trust real people in her life, not only her "fandom" which, as real as it is, is still a "construction of the mind" that one has to have faith in, in order to keep going. She has made room in her life for others (other people than just us). We have to make room for others in our lives as well and understand that she may change (as a any human being does), our connection to her may change also. But it evolves and grows actually. Mariah succeeds in doing something no other artist really can: she's finding a way to grow (within her artistry, and herself) and to take her along with her so that we can grow too. She may be more subtle than other artists who use their fame to also make a change in this world. She does it more subtle and may be less "vocal" but if you listen to her music closely, if you listen to what she says between the lines in interviews, you can hear that she's all about a continuous empowerment of herself, her loved ones, us.

It's my theme too (63,451) by Edouard from France
Some of you tend to think that freedom of speech means "I'm free to say whatever, whenever". You are plain wrong. Look it up folks. Learn. I'm tired of reading some of the posts here. Don't you have a life to attend to? Don't know about you but I don't want to be the "they" in "Can't take that away (Mariah's theme)". It's my theme too.

I'm growing up too (63,418) by Edouard from France
I've been reading many posts over the year without commenting (anywhere but in my head). Tyler's post is excellent. It makes me want to say something too. We all need to grow up. And Mariah is showing us the way. To me, the way she behaves and the way she handles her career and personal life can teach us a lesson. In our early 20s, we work/study and try to figure out our wounds from the past without much success. We survive without always knowing what's wrong. We learn. Then, when it becomes too much, we may break down (one way or another) but also break through (whatever we need to break free from). In our early 30s (that's me) we finally understand that we have a voice, we have a say. We can allow ourselves to be who we are, want what we want and it's okay. We also learn how to connect with the ones who can help us grow and distance ourselves from the ones who only know how to take things from us. Mariah hasn't had it easy. Like the rest of us I'm sure. She is still connecting with her fans, but only with those who listen and pay attention. She is not a teen idol anymore. Not like when Heartbreaker came out. I was sixteen, imagine, or even when Honey came out (I think that's the first time I realized what "sexy" meant haha). I am learning to be an adult, as opposed to playing the adult. Mariah is a kid at heart but she's very much a grown mature woman. As a child, she made a promise to herself (like I did) to never become one of those adults who loose their spirit. She knows how to be an adult with a heart. It also means that she has to compartmentalize. There is a time for fun, a time for work, a time for kids, a time for love, a time for fans or dare I say "moments"?
