Re: Work (59,975) (59,977) by enwar00 from usa
Thank you Deedre. That was pretty much my point and I agree with your post as well. Love the new icon pic, Honey is the sexiest.

Work (59,965) by enwar00 from usa
So much negativity and hate on here again. Cry me a river. What happened to "be nice or leave?" Does that only apply to Mariah, otherwise it's ok to be rude? Is it that hard to believe people simply are liking Work and therefore are streaming and downloading it? I love it and I'm glad it's #1.

Re: In Rainbow's defense (59,776) (59,782) by enwar00 from usa
I was actually referring to the recording quality on this album being subpar, not necessarily the quality of the songs. With that said, it is my least favorite.

Re: What's wrong with today's pop stars? (59,768) (59,774) by enwar00 from usa
I absolutely agree that Rainbow had a subpar sound and recording. It's unfortunate.

Re: Toni Braxton / Mariah Carey mini series (59,594) (59,622) by enwar00 from usa
I actually really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was nicely done, especially in comparison to the horribly trashy and generic biopics that channel has been doing that I won't even name. Mara pointed out that Toni was involved in the project, and I think that made a complete difference. Like you I also loved that her songs, music and singing were featured throughout, and you better believe I pulled out all my Toni Braxton CDs through the next week. As Billy pointed out Vondie Curtis Hall directed it (I'm a Glitter fan, I don't care), so that made a difference in quality as well. It was cool that she herself appeared in the last scene. Toni has had a dramatic life so it worked as a movie. With that said, I would not want a Mariah biopic at all. A documentary made well like Amy sure, but definitely not a bioipic with someone playing her. Too weird for me.

Not surprised. I feel like he says many dumb things.

I love Rihanna (59,498) by enwar00 from usa
I post this to offset some of the hate. I'm grateful that I'm able to enjoy a multitude of music. I love Rihanna and I'm loving her new album Anti. In my opinion it is a piece of art, and there are a few songs on it that have moved me deeply. She is a singer. She has a very unique voice that many people like. I think her voice is very pretty and has been the draw for me since the beginning. To me she is beautiful. And I appreciate the free download. FYI the 1.4 million free downloads will not count on Billboard per their rules, so some people can breathe easy. However, she may break some more of Mariah's records. The world keeps turning. She is still in her 20s and is the most marketable. Also, just because someone or something is dark, it doesn't equate worshipping the devil.

Re: More Than Just Friends remix (59,249) (59,258) by enwar00 from usa
I actually love More Than Just Friends. I do remember reading negative opinions about it. It's always interesting how different opinons on the same songs can be. To me, Inseparable is the track off Memoirs that many people loved that I'm not a big fan of and tend to skip. I can't even listen to either of the Memoirs "duets" she put on MIAMTEC. And I loved both of them solo. That's why I opted not to get the deluxe version. I do love The Art Of Letting Go though, but I had that already.

Touch My Body (59,183) by enwar00 from usa
Wanted to give a shout out to TMB as it's about to pass 100 million views on Vevo and YouTube and get certified lol. How fitting that YouTube is mentioned in the lyrics. Seems like this song has somewhat of a divide amongst fans, yet has proven to be one of her most popular videos. Personally I enjoy it very much and it is one of my favorites of the #1s. The lyrics are clever, the song flows really well, and I especially love the unique melody of the verses. Thumbs up if you got love for this song.

Re: Vegas (59,098) (59,099) by enwar00 from usa
Hi Ryan. Fun story. Are you sure you're going to a show on Friday the 19th? I'm going that weekend as well but thought she was only doing a show that Saturday and Sunday, and therefore was going on Saturday the 20th.

That was awesome, thanks for posting. I don't think I've ever seen that otherwise I don't remember. She sounded fantastic.

AIWFCIY #11 on Billboard Hot 100 (58,729) by enwar00 from usa
This pisses me off. It was so close to being Top 10. If the chart week went though Christmas, no doubt it would have been Top 10. Still an amazing fest, considering it is a 21 years old. Seems like it was extremely strong this Christmas for some reason.

UTS Drifting Remix (58,702) by enwar00 from usa
Hope the lambily had a Merry Christmas. So it's the day after and I wanted to think of a Mariah song that fit my mood, and this remix popped in my head. I love how chill it is, despite a harder beat than the original. Although not my absolute favorite Mariah album there really is something so nostalgic and classy about Daydream, and its era as well I suppose. This remix seems like a perfect bookend to it.

AIWFCIY #18 on Billboard Hot 100 (58,615) by enwar00 from usa
New peak. I hope it goes top 10. Of course 19th #1 would be amazing but that seems like a long shot.

Re: What is your favorite MC Christmas song? (58,378) (58,395) by enwar00 from usa
Ardis I love that remix. So slinky. I don't know if I have a favorite at the moment but last week it was Christmas Time Is In The Air Again. I also have a new love for Hark. The Herald Angels Sing since she opened the show with it. I think when I get back into town tomorrow I'm going to buy a Christmas tree and decorate while watching all the videos on the Merry Christmas dualdisc because it has the video to that remix on it.

Beacon show was... (58,358) by enwar00 from usa
Amazing, festive and uplifting. Lambily I don't think the YouTube clips do it justice honestly. This woman leaves me in awe live and I am thankful she continues to share her magic with us. I wasn't expecting to be transported back to 1996, because who on Earth stays the same really, but whatever vocal issues were going on last year seemed like a thing of the past tonight. I had chills for half the show and if I had to pick one highlight it'd be O Holy Night, and We Belong Together of the non-holiday songs. I'm fortunate enough to have seen Mariah on all her tours she's brought to Chicago, but it really was a treat to hear the Christmas songs in concert. She truly seems to have become a part of the holiday season. The Beacon Theater itself is beautiful and intimate. The experience makes me even appreciate the alleged trolls of the board, for deep down inside despite the cynicism they love Mariah too and hold on dearly to the memories she's provided them.

MCA Lambily, I am so excited to see the show tonight. Is anyone else going? If anyone wants to say hi or get a drink reply or email me.

Re: Vegas tickets (58,247) (58,256) by enwar00 from usa
She better. That's the weekend I'm planning to be in Vegas to see her. I'll be positive and say yes the shows will go on. I think lots of people buy tickets to Vegas shows last minute as they're vacationing etc. At least that's how I think of it.

Christmastime Is In The Air Again (58,237) by enwar00 from usa
I love this song and I love this performance. Only a few short years ago. It's unfortunate so much focus and attention is placed on the negative. Just my opinion.

Haven't booked yet but that's the weekend we're going. Most likely that show on the 20th and fly in on the 19th. Did not end up going last year so looking forward, should be a good time.
