Wow, I'm not even a fan, but she keeps doing interesting things. Congrats to her for pushing her art and dropping ish, unannounced and unapologetically. Her entire discography has re entered the iTunes charts. Now that might be the duet Mimi should push for.

Top of the Hot 200 chart, with 200,000+ in sales. The first R&B at number one in a year, since The Weeknd's last. R&B is not dead, it's just been rendered unprofitable, with limited radio formats and dwindling tv outlets. I'm looking forward to the return of Video Soul. Hopefully it won't be on some remote, or streaming only channel.

Re: Tupac obsessed (89,179) (89,181)

Aww, she's being a fan girl with her own personal fan boy on payroll. Eyeroll to him. To change the subject up and off of Mimi, Madonna who did actually hook up with Tupac, blamed him for her acting a fool on Letterman on the 90's. I think it was in 1994, she appeared and said the F word 14 times. In her memoirs, she said hanging with Tupac made her feel so gangster and aggressive, to paraphrase. She is the epitome of lame blaming and talk about "appropriation". Onward.

Tupac is ok, I get that he is an icon to many, but the recent shirt sightings and this tweet from Shawn make it seem obsessive. I even get that she is proud of the nude in the bathtub picture that she owns, but it's not as if they had a relationship, so the ongoing interest seems odd. I said what I said and it is what it is. Let's see how she spins it, in her own words.

That's all fine, well and good, but still doesn't explain her quirky obsession with him. I'm sure it will feature prominently in her memoirs.

That should have said, she wore the shirt for her birthday, while her staff wore images of her record covers.

Tupac obsessed (89,158)
by RibbonB from USA

I know it was Tupac's birthday recently, but what is with the industry's Tupac glorification, or fascination? I suppose he was talented, etc. But not that talented. Specifically, Mimi wore his image in a shirt for my birthday celebration, and she wore that same image during the Christmas holidays. Her nephew Stan even tweeted the lame story she always tells about the time she and Tupac said hello at a 1996 award show. I find the story odd and even strange to often reminisce about a man who has actually been with someone she doesn't seem to care for like Madonna. The industry in general seems to be fascinated by certain dead artists.

I agree it's been awkward for a while now, especially since that 200K number hasn't been updated in about a decade. I just hope she performs well.

Chartdata reported the US numbers via Twitter. Perhaps they have WW numbers available. Wikipedia is not up to date at all.

She should finish this last lawsuit with Lianne, before releasing anything else for them to try to pull evidence from. I doubt they will get her records. All these clowns acted like they had emails and evidence on their own and claimed Mimi wasn't taking meds and various other accusations. I don't think they're on good footing to make Mariah prove it for them, with her own private medical records. These people are bullies and blackmailers. Mariah would likely avoid all off this in her memoirs, especially if there are pending lawsuits. There's still Stella suing her own cousin the lawyer that Mimi hired. More beasts to contend with.

Well she still contractually has the European leg of her tour, if you call that promotion. That's plenty for a record that all of us thought would do better than 93K over several months. Maybe she will do 100k by year end.

Wait, how is Stella asking for anything, since she and Mariah settled their lawsuits a couple months ago. This is bananas. If Stella is making all these claims where is he evidence to begin with. God, I'm so sick of these beasts.

Wow, Caution has reached 93K in pure album sales in the US. Strange times. Mariah's next moves are going to be very interesting. Are her memoirs really the next best step?

That's a screen cap from the video. It's wild that Shawni is in the original video the whole time and Mimi chose to, or was required to sit on their remix this whole time.

Did she say what, if anything she is taking? But yeah, many performers wear wigs to protect from the wear and tear of a tour. Not to mention hair often thins with aging.

Her natural hair seems to be thinning, so I respect the wig move. But that wig should be a good one.

Interesting. This rap provides a whole different vibe. I don't think this will help, but whatever. Let's see if this video changes. Oh Mimi. The truest thing said is she should really be careful about herself.

I don't know either, but based on that link she is "born again ratchet". Good grief, I hope she won't become Mimi's latest bff/tethered. And it sounds like she's a singer not a rapper.
