On "GTFO", she kisses off the hims and hers she does not know in a composed and blasé purr, the whole low-key affair setting the stage for the diva's chill defiance. This is Mariah emancipated from caring. This is Mariah in a negligee on a chaise lounge sipping her hot tea (and on "A No No" spilling some too). This is Carey turning in one of the most experimental tracks of her enduring career, "Giving Me Life", as elusive as ever during the song's hypnotically eerie final stretch. Why he produced a track for Mariah that sounds exactly like her work with JD is beyond me. On MIAM it became evident that Mariah was in desperate need of new collaboators. Talk about a conspiracy theory. They even claim Billboard changed their rules that same year to allow Madonna to break his record for the most Hot 100 Top 10 hits, lol. I hope if, God forbid, Mariah's record is broken we don't resort to conspiracy theories. (Saturday 29 December 2018; 02:19)

A lot of radio programmers were up in arms when Mariah broke Elvis' record. Some still claim Mariah simply tied Elvis' record or that Elvis has 19 #1's because one of his single was a double a side (FYI, Mariah's My All was a double a side with Breakdown so if that logic applies she has 19 #1's, lol). Even more people don't want her to break or tie The Beatles record. I could understand their outrage if Mariah was Rhianna but she's a talented songwriter and producer and has one of greatest voices of all time. (Saturday 29 December 2018; 01:39)

I hope for the 30th anniversary of Mariah Carey Epic and Mariah include it and any other songs recorded during that time that didn't make the album as a bonus tacks and a second disc with the music videos and The First Vision. Mariah met Walter while working with Walden on her debut and suggest they work together on Love Takes Time against Tommy's protestations that she continue to work with the same producers she worked with on her debut album.
