About Licia from USA: I think I'm Mariah's oldest fan lol.

Re: Songwriters hall of fame snub (80,842) (80,844) by Licia from USA
I knew this was coming. I would have loved for them both to have been included because they both deserve it, but unfortunately that's not how it worked out. To act as if he had no hits before working with Mariah is not right. I hope she gets her time sooner rather than later, but for now let that man have his moment. I'm sure she's happy for her friend despite not being inducted yet.

Re: Superbowl, really? (80,837) (80,840) by Licia from USA
Deedre you're hardly a negative Nancy like most if us are so you're allowed a moment to offer a not so popular opinion. I'm 50/50 on this. On the one hand I do think she could do it if she was really dedicated to it, but on the other I have to agree that being the type of artist that she is it may not translate well with the Superbowl audience. It would be interesting as heck to see if she could pull it over though.

Re: Mariah for SuperBowl (80,838) (80,839) by Licia from USA
Lol. Well sh*t Special K. Lol. Would you happen to know what event that was? For the life of me I can't think of what it was.

Re: Mariah for SuperBowl (80,821) (80,823) by Licia from USA
Didn't she do a halftime performance during TEOM era? It wasn't the Superbowl (i don't think), but she did a great job though. If I remember correctly one of the songs was SIO. I can't be the only person who remembers this. Lol. Anyway, I don't like the setlist Sheila wants, but I think Mariah would be ok with a Superbowl performance if she just left some of her bad habits in Vegas. You can't half ass perform at an event like that. You have to do the full Honey dance. None of that lifting up every two seconds like your legs don't work bullcrap. (I just know some people will get mad at me for saying that.) Lol.

Re: Great live video (80,782) (80,791) by Licia from USA
I just added that part because some fans believe that if you respect TM business wise then you accept what he did to Mariah. You know how us lambs can be. We are a fickle bunch. Lol.

Re: Great live video (80,778) (80,781) by Licia from USA
I agree Deedre. I would never want her to be put in another situation where she felt like a prisoner or was mentally abused, but when it came to the music get knew what was important. He was a horrible person and possibly a sucky husband, but I give him respect on the music front. I'm glad I got to experience the great moments like this of her career.

The kale chips (80,732) by Licia from USA
That tweet did exactly what it was supposed to do which is make them write a whole darn article about it. I thought better of Vogue though. Didn't think they'd be the ones to do it. I guess they had nothing else to write about. Lol.

Re: Bruno Mars (80,721) (80,730) by Licia from USA
Exactly. His first two albums have a lot of bangers that would fit Mariah. It's worth a try. I just want to hear what they could come up with together. Ribbon I agree about Miguel. I'd love for her to explore more with him. I honestly don't care who she works with as long as the music is good.

Re: Best music video? (80,716) (80,718) by Licia from USA
I'd have to agree about Heartbreaker. As Special K said it was just fun and creative. My second is Obsessed. Mariah dressed as a man is something I never thought I'd ever see. It was awesome and funny. I tend to enjoy her videos that show her sense of humor.

My post should have said I was good until Patti not it was good until Patti. I would never disrespect Patti like that. Ever. Lol.

Re: Grammy parties looks (80,706) (80,712) by Licia from USA
I'm not a huge fan of Jay and Bey either, but Bey was serving some looks. Jay looked like Laurence Fishburne's character from the movie Hoodlum at the luncheon though. I really need him to cut his hair lol. I would love another Legends' ball. Oprah will forever get props for pulling that event together. All that greatness in one place. I was just recently watching the clip on YouTube where some of the legends were singing the gospel song. It was good until Patti. Patti took me out. I was a mess.

Re: Grammy parties looks (80,697) (80,703) by Licia from USA
I'm surprised he got to go to both events. Lol. I keep saying Mariah can tame those tits when she wants to. They are out, but she still looked nice. Us big breasted gals have to know the appropriate times to show an overwhelming amount of boobage and when it's appropriate to strap those bad boys down. Lol.

Re: Grammy parties looks (80,688) (80,690) by Licia from USA
I really enjoyed the second look. If she'd just get rid of that walking accesory on her arm the look would be perfect (I couldn't resist lol). Don't kill me Special K.

I would love to see what her and Bruno could come up with just for the writing alone.

Guacamole (80,615) by Licia from USA
Did I really just read an article about chips and dip? It must be a slow news day for Page Six. I blame myself for even sitting here and reading that mess.

Re: Mary in Mudbound (80,595) (80,612) by Licia from USA
Yeah she dropped out because she was pregnant. It would have been interesting for me just to see if she would have been able to handle playing a role that was deeper than a lot of her other roles. Yeah the movie was a bit much in certain parts, but I don't think it would have been disastrous.

Re: Mary in Mudbound (80,588) (80,592) by Licia from USA
I don't think she's over the acting. I just think she wanted to try directing her own stuff. I don't know what roles I'd like to see her in, but I do know I don't want her to consistently be cast as the diva character. Diva can be funny, but it can also get old. I would have loved to seen what she could have brought to the For Colored Girls role.

Re: Interesting question (80,583) (80,586) by Licia from USA
I really never thought about the differences in her vocals in the early days. Since I've been listening to these acapella and supposed unheard Daydream era vocals I've started to really appreciate Daydream a little more. I can't really explain it (I know it's shocking I can't express myself lol).

Re: Mary in Mudbound (80,574) (80,582) by Licia from USA
Congratulations to Mary. I keep hearing how good she did in the movie and how good the movie is in general, but the premise of the movie hasn't moved me to watch. I hope she wins, but if not it's probably just a blessing for her to be nominated. She probably didn't expect the nominations.

Re: Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (80,569) (80,572) by Licia from USA
He said "He's the source that revealed that Mariah Carey's black." I vaguely remember this episode. I need to go back and watch the whole thing.

Have you listened to the audio of Dreamlover from MSG? I fell in love with these vocals.

Studio pictures (80,506) by Licia from USA
Forgive me if I'm not impressed by seeing a picture of her in the studio. I always hope for the best, but I have to be honest. She hasn't had a great track record when it comes to the music in the last few years, so yeah I'm going to need more than a studio picture to get excited. How many times have we seen these studio pics and it turns out the session wasn't even for her music or the session was for this imaginary album that was supposed to come out two years ago?

Yep. I want great music with great promotion and some killer vocals. I think I'm done darling.

Re: She's back (80,495) (80,500) by Licia from USA
There used to be a a time when those studio pics excited me. Now not so much. I refuse to get excited until a song is premiered, the title of the album is announced, and a release date is announced. Lol.

I really H. A. T. E. U for that one.
