Unheard vocals - Anytime You Need A Friend (67,827)

I've just seen this on Twitter. I've never heard this version/these vocals before. Does anybody know where they are from? They're sublime.

Re: Private Sydney article (67,605) (67,657)

Wow, that article is so telling. The fact that James Packer was reeling off the "greatest selling artist of all time" line and there were people in the background has made me think this whole relationship has been a setup for the reality show. It seems so robotic/unnatural to be speaking about her like the many interviewers who have been told to utter this line when introducing her.

You raise a very good point Mimi L, I hadn't thought about that. Well whatever the case, I hope she's okay. If it is true, it must be awfully embarrassing for her. She needs to chill with the whirlwind engagements. And as for Sheila, Ariana is a queen to me, but I guess we all have our opinions. As for Dangerous Woman being a flop, I think Eric cleared that one up for me.

Packer split / SA tour (67,527)

Does anyone think these are linked? I predict a messy set of alcohol-fuelled Christmas appearances if all this is true. I hope she's okay.

Ariana is a queen and her Dangerous Woman album is perfection from beginning to end. Maybe you're just a bit too old for her Andrew tee hee.

There's nothing I'd love more than for her to duet with Ariana. Lay the "feud" to rest and help introduce herself to a younger audience. Unfortunately there's more chance of Trump and Hilary duetting, but it's nice to dream.

I think I got the impression from this article. I skim read it and they kept talking about what her tour grossed, but yeah I guess when reading it properly there's other factors. Does seem strange that she's been honoured in a relatively quiet period for her though.

I believe this is based on gross from touring. She charges about £8,573 per ticket, so that's probably how she's done it.

It'll be a combination of lipo on the body and fillers in the face. Fillers usually take a while to settle down, so they're always puffier when you first have them done.

I'm so excited for Jojo's new album, she's such an underrated talent. If you haven't heard "Mad Love", you can hear it here. Such a nice song, and definitely the sort've sound that I think would work well with Mariah. It's current, but still R&B.

I disagree, I think garage has made a bit of a comeback of late (Katy B, Ms Dynamite, Craig David etc.) but it seems to me like it's a very British genre. Definitely the last genre on this planet I can imagine Mariah venturing into.

With the greatest of respect, the chances of Mariah releasing a new single before 2017 and working with Walter again are about the same as the chances of her getting a breast reduction. It ain't ever gonna happen. I predict we'll get a new album in late 2017 at the earliest.

Re: Now Miley is attacking Mariah (66,775) (66,776)
by Martyn from England, UK

If you read the actual extract here, she's not really shading her. You can't have a series coming out called Mariah's World that's been marketed with the sentence "it's Mariah's world, we're all just living in it" without expecting people to have this opinion. Mariah is capable of writing music that isn't about her that people can connect to (and she has), but whilst she continues to become a parody of herself and play up on the "diva" act, people will continue to not take her seriously and have opinions like this.

Rare Mariah voicemail has resurfaced (66,718)
by Martyn from England, UK
| |
|
|
Guys, there's a rare Mariah voicemail from 1999 that has resurfaced. It's one that was taken down after 10 minutes apparently, but 'Lambtivity' on Facebook has uploaded it as he saved it at the time. He's asked people not to share it, so all you need to do is to go on Facebook and search for "Lambtivity" and it's on his page. It makes me weep for the Mariah that used to have such a close connection with her fans, where did she go? Sidenote: there's a 3 and a half hour long megamix on his page too that's absolutely incredible - it's the same guy who makes the TMC megamixes.

Stella queen Of hashtags (66,385)
by Martyn from England, UK
| |
|
|
I've just spent that past 30 minutes stalking Stella's Instagram, and if I see the hashtag #EmpowerYourGirls one more time, I'm going to stick pins in my eyeballs. As for the "straight A's" photo she uploaded, I can't believe her daughter is in 7th grade. She looks like she has a mortgage, a successful business and three children. Stella needs to let her be a child, this pseudo-adult thing she's got going on (particularly all the photos of her drinking alcohol) is a little disturbing.

Morgan's Facebook (66,298)
by Martyn from England, UK
| |
|
|
I sometimes check Morgan's Facebook as it's public, and he's posted a status about the drama, to which many of his friends have left supportive comments - one even referencing Mariah from when they were younger. It's so difficult to know what to believe, I definitely think there's two sides to every story. What I do know is that him going to the media (again) was a strange and unfair move, and even if Mariah has wronged him in any way, he could've dealt with it differently.

Re: The Truth (65,887) (65,917)

But you're not keeping anything real, you just come across as a bit bitter and weird. Mariah does my head in at the moment, she's self-centred, lazy and completely disconnected from her fans. But I try to keep my negativity into perspective. She released an incredible album a few years ago and she's shown us recently that she's still capable of amazing live performances when she puts the effort in. If you're that jaded with her, why do you even bother coming to a fan board? Maybe you'd be more suited to JLoDaily or NickiMinajNightly or whatever. I mean, I'm not making a big deal out of it because I barely post here, but I'm just intrigued as to why you would devote so much of your time to spreading negativity where it's not particularly welcome?

Re: Alison HIV status (65,872) (65,875)
by Martyn from England, UK
| |
|
|
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall Alison ever mentioning her HIV status in interviews? Not sure where you've gotten that from. And as I said earlier, I think it's fine to mention her status in reference to her alleged crime (i.e. sleeping with people without disclosing it) but there's no need to prefix it to her name every time she is mentioned for sensationalist purposes. It has negative connotations and strengthens the stigma surrounding HIV - one of the many reasons people are too scared to get tested.

The Truth (65,874)
by Martyn from England, UK
| |
|
|
Genuine question to "The Truth". Why are you even on this board? I, along with many others on this board, am more than happy to point out Mariah's many flaws, but all you ever seem to do is bash and hate on her. You have a picture of Eminem as your avatar, and I don't think I've ever heard you say anything positive about Mariah. Are you even a fan? It just seem s a little strange that you spend so much time here only to spread hate and negativity. I'm not trying to be a dick, just genuinely interested.
