Subtle Invitation never grabbed me. It's a nice song, but I skip it a lot.

I agree with most of your list, but I would take out Sunflowers (sad song I've only listened to once), I Only Wanted (not a fav), and Subtle Invitation (that one is meh to me). I'd add back You Got Me and You Had Your Chance. I'd also add The One remix at the add. Vocally it sucks (that's the one vocal CB moment where I cringed), but I love the use of the Goodbye Love sample by Guy. The only order of the songs I'd change is MSG has to be first for me. That's my song.

I get that a lot and the confusion is understandable. Lol. All I can say is for the mood my life was in at the time CB came out it just fit. Also the CB tour was my first live Mariah experience that I never thought I'd get so CB will always hold that number 1 spot. Although it doesn't work for you, at least you tried to get through CB. Lol.

I love to see when we have difference views on certain songs because it makes me go back and revisit songs I ignored for whatever reason. Sometimes it works out and I end up loving the songs and sometimes I keep them stashed away in my trash bin. I'm pretty sure people still want to shank me for not appreciating Everything Fades Away and The Roof, but I tried really hard to like them. Lol.

I'm so ashamed that after all these years I never caught his voice on that song and especially on that particular part. It's so loud and clear. I can't even know how I missed. Lol.

I'm always here for a Mariah/Babyface song. I grew up listening to him and he's awesome. They make beautiful music together. Never Forget You is my favorite song from Music Box. I had no idea he had anything to do with Melt Away. Normally I can tell he's involved because he almost always is singing background on the songs he's involved in. I can't hear him in the bg on Melt Away. Now I gotta go listen to Melt Away 500 times to investigate. Lol.

Congratulations. It was long overdue. I don't care who was before or who's after. I'm just happy she's finally getting the recognition for songwriting that she's wanted for so long.
Now watch all the people who posted about these honors not being so important come back saying how important they are now that she's finally being inducted into one of them. Lol.

I've been going to Waffle House my whole life and I have never gotten the waffles. They look disappointing. Lol.
Twat waffle was the nicest thing I could come up with. Before boobgate he just always came off too cocky to me. I'll never ever deny his talent, but personality wise I was never for him. Boobgate just gave me more of a reason to dislike him. If the rumor was true that he didn't work with Mariah on Yours because he felt she was a has been, that really put the nail in the coffin. Even at her lowest point she was still a legend and you don't disrespect a legend like that .

Ok Charm Girl is in the building. Lol. My choices are:
1. The One 2. My Saving Grace 3. Yours 4. BOTH 5. You Had Your Chance
My picks aren't for which songs would have been hits (although I think The One and Yours with Justin Timberlake might have had a chance). These are just songs I really love.
Yes Bill I'm stilled pissed that they chose Boy over The One. Throughout the years before CB came out I never cared or got upset over the single choices, but that was a crap move on so many levels. I wanted to fight team Mariah that day. Lol.

Bill I'd take a memoir based solely on the music too. To be honest I think that's the only topic where she might be a little more open. I love the idea of her discussing certain songs. I want to know what the hell she was thinking when she thought corny like Fritos was a good lyric and what the hell were they smoking when they recorded and let the internet hear Why The F*ck You Made That remix. Lol.
No matter which direction she chooses to go in though, I'm going to need a few chapters on those vocals. That is the most important topic for me and it needs to be discussed and explained in detail. Before any of y'all say it I already know I may not get the discussion I want about the vocal decline. I'm just hopeful that it will at least get brought up. Lol.

My biggest thing with this memoir is that I don't want her standard fairytale/victim point of view. I don't want a book full of "they did all this bad to me, but I'm perfect and do no wrong". I want truthful insight and personal accountability on the ups and downs of her career, her vocals, and life. I understand that there are things she won't be able to talk about because of legalities, but I also know there are things she won't talk about because she tends to live in lala land and wants to ignore things in hopes of it magically disappearing.

I agree that was the last well put together video. It was fun and and she was funny (y'all know I love when she brings on the humor). The fact that it really did look like a Target commercial makes it even more hilarious to me. I also agree that she really went outside of her comfort zone and I'm glad she took the risk because she made a great video.

I agree. Glitter is everything. Great songs and great vocals. I was so happy that the fans got justice for Glitter and I was uber excited when she sang some of the songs on the Caution tour. I got a little emotional because I didn't think I'd ever hear her perform anything from Glitter ever again. It's amazing how she got the original songs to fit perfectly with the remakes and nothing sounded dated. Whomever is stopping her from streaming the album needs to just let the hate go. More people need to hear what they missed out on.

Fourth of July acapella (92,009)
by Licia from USA

They posted this Fourth of July acapella like they knew I needed it. I'm not a huge Butterfly album person like alot y'all, but it's creeping up my list slowly with this song alone. Never thought I'd find a song that could possibly knock Breakdown off my most loved song from Butterfly, but it's doing it. The song is just perfect.

I was just about to post that there was a time when one of them (Toni or Mariah) tried to get something together. I couldn't remember which one. It definitely would have been a treat to hear how they would have sounded together. I'm still for it. With the right song it could turn out good. I wouldn't want anything like When You Believe though. I'd like a Same Script, Different Cast type duet like Whitney and Deborah Cox did or even a Heartbreak Hotel type song. If it was an uptempo song I'd go for something close to The Boy Is Mine but with more grown women lyrics if that makes sense. Lol.

Re: Ellen and Mariah (91,946) (91,966)

This is my last post on this topic, but riddle me this. If Mariah was so uncomfortable why has she been back on Ellen's show several times since this particular incident? It would seem if she was that bothered she'd never go back on Ellen like she's never been to Wendy Williams's show and I believe all they ever did was a radio interview. Mariah is notorious for staying away from things and people that make her uncomfortable or cause her pain. It seems silly to me for her to continuously go back to a show that supposedly hurt her so bad. *waits for the next excuse*
