Newest addiction. Can't get enough of the whole album. I didn't see such an album coming from Mariah.

Her tone is so gorgeous. I bet she'll get better after each show. I love the way her voice sounds on "The Star". I regret not booking a ticket.

Trilogy (86,749)
by Billy from Greece
| |
|
|
"Giving Me Life" is awesomeness as has been said plenty here already, but I'm surprised that people forget that the "original" sequel to "The Roof" was "Lullaby". So, now we have a real untouchable trilogy, an aspect of Mariah's musicianship that I wish she goes deeper into in the future.

Interviews (86,592)
by Billy from Greece
| |
|
|
It has already been mentioned but it is such a relief to see Mariah being so well during this era's interviews. It's a total u-turn compared to the nightmare era. In the latest one she looks exactly like the cover of "The Roof" single. It's unbelievable how much more serene her face is, how much clearer the look in her eyes. Even her body language is so much more confident. It seems she has done a lot of personal work and growth and that the wounds following the divorce, which I believe devastated her because she repeated her own familial history and later led to the darkest period of her life, have finally started healing. Maybe writing her memoirs is also part of all this "accepting" attitude she's been having lately. Finally, I agree with Mariah, I would also prefer "Proceed with Caution" but I also understand the marketing concept of using plain "Caution".

How about letting a person express themselves they way they want instead of dictating how they "should" do things right and correct? I saw a similar post that read along the same lines, "Mariah should speak this way, that way." Are you guys serious?

Yes she did, though she seemed hopeful that they will find it eventually. But even the thought makes want to leave that lowlife bald. I presume the videos that were leaked with the "hand" pressing play belonged to either of the two daughters.

#1's (86,129)
by Billy from Greece
| |
|

Happy twentieth anniversary to one of the most iconic (not) greatest hits compilations in pop culture with an equally iconic cover. Wait a minute, this is too deep. "Sweetheart", "When You Believe", "I Still Believe", "Theme from Mahogany", I adore the bonus tracks. I'm all caught in "Caution" so I'll just leave it here. Twenty years? Oh my.

Caution era (86,107)
by Billy from Greece
| |
|

What can I say, "I'm in heaven". So very happy to see her like that again. I can't stop smiling. I loved the performance of "The Distance", excellent in every respect. And again, so good to see her enjoying it, enjoying her music, everything. Caution era is the best era in a decade. Can't count Mariah out baby.

Amazing interview. I'm so happy to see her so relaxed and interacting with the fans and acknowledging the fan faves. A special moment for sure. I definitely got teary eyed when they were talking about "Outside". Mariah has actually reached a point in her life that she has somehow reconciled with the past and is finally more open to say it like it is, the good and the bad. Everything feels like it should feel with the "Caution" era. It really has added so much positivity lately.

"Caution" (85,982)
by Billy from Greece
| |
|
|
Say what you want, the woman is a genius. I'm super sleepy but I wanted to listen to the album. I'm so proud of her. This is a reinventing album, the way I felt "Emancipation" was. I loved it. Very modern, very cutting-edge. I can see similarities with "E=MC2" but "Caution" is way more adventurous. "Giving Me Life" is her weirdest song to date, not in a bad way, very Prince-esque in fact. I loved the title track and "One Mo'Gen". "Stay Long Love You" is the song I liked the least. "Portrait" is all it promises to be, the moment you look through yourself by having Mariah looking through her own self. Very accomplished work, beat-driven songs. I would say it's more of a "mood" album, if that makes any sense, not necessarily easily replicated live, but I don't care about it now. Bravo Mariah.

I haven't listened to the album and though I wanted to avoid reading the review, I couldn't resist and I can't stop smiling and giggling by myself about all that I'm awaiting to discover.

The Voice (85,663)

She was wonderful on The Voice. And that moment when she sang two lines from "Praying", wow. It was two or three seconds and yet they show the genius behind her instrument. I can't stop playing that moment.
