Putting my MW blinders on (71,099)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
In the spirit of the new year, I will be nice and just go back to not watching Mariah's World. That way I won't comment. I just can't help but comment on nonsense when I see it. As always best wishes to Roc and Roe and I do want Mariah to be at her very best and get some rest. She is down this road and I just hope she and her children are OK. I am a Mariah fan, but that does not make me like or even care about the sycophants that may surround her at any given time.

She seems to want someone who can sign for 24/7 role. Very needy it seems. Anthony is s busy professional and probably had other gigs.

He did look like a predator stalking after the kids in the weird soft porn Christmas video. He was chasing the kids while she was trying to look sexy as if he was checking her out. Women should never be impressed by how a guy is attentive of their children, in fact they should be more cautious and make sure they themselves really like the guy and that he will be around beyond a reality show season. At least JP seemed to keep a respectable distance and M. showed more precautions herself then. Mariah is cautious about nannies, she should be just as cautious if not moreso about letting dates interact with her kids.

Stella blocking contact (71,077)
by RibbonB from USA

I just read on showbiz411 that LA Reid wants to release a single right away, but Stella has Mariah's phone and is blocking all contact. That site used to post all the tea when Mariah was with Cindi. There are so many alarming things going on, such a shame.

Re: Blind Item about Stella and Tommy (71,069) (71,073)

Lol most blinds are planted lies. There was one a year or so ago, that said M. went to his office to ask him to help revive her career and that they were sitting on the floor in his office playing music and trying to make sure his wife didn't know she was there. I do hope Crustella is groveling and shuffling to keep her job, but nevertheless, she needs to be dismissed. A good step would be for Mariah to spend some time away from Stella the plug, or whatever her role is. It won't be easy, but you do get burned when you dance with the devil. I wish, but doubt she would just spend time with her children and maybe a therapist. All these emotional scars have to hurt.

Am I the only one who caught the Camouflage reference? And why would she be having potential step dad thoughts when she was allegedly engaged. Terrible script writing and Mariah is just petty for allowing any of this mess. It is so disjointed and just messy.

Re: Does Stella steal MW from Mariah (71,044) (71,065)

There are a lot of dummies in the media but let them have her, in fact please take her. She is disgusting and so fake. The Munchausen manager sorry I didn't look up the spelling of that, but like the mommy's who make their kids sick, then act the hero to save them. Stella creates drama and crises, only to act like she fixed things, to "prove" her worth. I hope fate deals her a fitting hand very soon. I am wondering what Anthony Burrell really has to say about this debacle of a show.

Yes, you are right. I was very curious about last night's episode and checked in between watching the Globes and some of the parts I saw were disturbing or weird. She definitely should be more protective of her children. I am sure Nick must have lots of questions when and if he catches the show. The issue of exposing the kids to multiple male characters is really bad. She has far too many blurred lines and no everyone she is cool with for the moment is not family to her or to her children. It was actually very creepy to see her watching the hired help "Boynaka" holding her son, while "Camouflage" was playing in the background. I mean if you are reminiscing about your then soon to be ex-husband/baby's father, maybe deal with that, but more importantly keep well hold of your children while you sort things out. Besides Mariah needing to get a grip on her personal and professional life, Nick needs to get a handle on his children's care while she does this. I will be so glad when whatever it is that binds M. and Crustella together is broken. it is all so very sad and weird that Mariah has said that she is doing this for her children.

Mimi was a word used by her nephew because he couldn't pronounce Mariah when he was young. And I doubt he was upset about MIAM since it was all about her divorce from Nick.

Well if she is sued, it won't be the first time a star has been sued for a cancelled tour. That is the most likely reason she wanted a settlement from her deal with Packer so she can pay off and tie up all the loose ends from the sudden end of their planned merger. Yet again another thing Stella can be blamed for. She discouraged signing the pre-nup and she pissed him off. That is all good, because a merger would have been a disaster, but Stellar also needs to be cut off for her meddling and malicious ways.

Bless her heart, I do wish her, dem babies and Nick the best. And all the best to those around them who are genuinely trying to help the situation. I am glad her industry friends have been reaching out to her, that must mean the world to her. It was weird to see even Chelsea Handler tweeting something remotely positive to MC. I notice the Brat does not chime in when they have been discussing the debacle on Dish Nation. I wish she hadn't initially been encouraging this MW mess, but maybe she thought she was being a friend. IDK what is going to happen, but I have often thought there may be a little more revealed before MW ends. More than what they have leaked over the summer. I hope it doesn't end on just scandal and "mess".

Social media break (71,029)
by RibbonB from USA

Lol well that didn't even last one day. I just saw a tweet from her page saying "watch MW for all the scandals". I mean if you are going to take a break from social media try not to tweet for at least 24 hours. She should at least take the passwords back from Stella and her kids.

Hopefully it means she has taken the social media reigns from a teenager. Now she needs to fully and personally check what is being put out there about her. It is beyond time to stop with all the TMZ and Daily Mail stuff. Time to see what the real media says or doesn't say. It is just a good time for a break and I'm so glad she is taking it. I hope it does last until her tour in March. Send Mishka to school.

Editing the West Coast feed (71,002)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Stella's demand that DCP edit the West oast feed is lame, because I live in LA and had already seen the footage when it aired on the East Coast via twitter and the links and trending topics were already in full swing. Editing the West Coast would have only confused things even more. She has herself to blame for not stopping Mariah's performance and demanding the equipment work. M. can only blame herself for not having a backup plan, besides backup dancers. I am so glad she is reflecting on this and hopefully her recent career choices. Best wishes to her and Roc and Roe.

Mariah's recorded statement (70,992)
by RibbonB from USA

Well good for her. She is taking time off between now and her tour with Lionel to be with her family. I won't even worry about who she includes in that list. She said she will fulfill her obligations, but will be off of social media. I hope she makes adjustments and gets her head in the right space to move forward with whatever her plans are. I do hope she puts Stellar on mute during this time frame too.

Re: Tomas Mottola (70,968) (70,976)

But Celine's husband Rene managed her and guided her success. He should get that credit. Tommy did his thing as a record executive, but his roster building or deeply contributing to greats is short. Clive: Aretha, Dionne, Whitney, Alicia. Berry: Built Motown from the ground up and launched countless stars and changed the landscape of music. I do believe Tommy is using this as an opportunity to promote his play, but if Mariah is his biggest contribution to music, as much as I love Mariah, he really hasn't done that much. But as I said before, if people accept his "direction" then good, because Stella must be drop-kicked back to the abyss from whence she came.

Re: Comeback (70,921) (70,947)

Lol Mimi L. she could call her next project "Freakshow". But really, she should really write some back to basics songs in 2017, songs with great music and lyrics. Perhaps she can write a song or two with Lionel, Big Jim? But this might be a good time for her to employ a good team of songwriters to tailor some songs for her. She has been all in her feelings and we aren't sure what they are or who they are about at this point. I hope her next music project is gimmick free, no shade, no stunts, just really great songs. I think the three movie deal is not all in one year, but over time, but even Crustella admits they won't get one done by February. And she is supposed to have a song for each movie. Mariah needs to slow things down a bit and fully embrace each new venture and fully prepare to slay each event.

Article: The deterioration of Mimi (70,944)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|

She speaks the truth and with great compassion. I especially love the last paragraph and this sentence. "If Mariah Carey wants to resurrect her voice she must first repair two other things: her physical health and her spirit." I really hope she does both the inner work and and gets some good plain old exercise in so she can renew. I love that the writer calls out Brett Ratner as a sleazy so called friend.

Re: I can't believe (70,930) (70,943)

A lot of people like "mess". This is the era of Trump winning while being a "shallow, bottom feeding hustler of the nation". Mariah is catering to a certain demographic. According to Stellar it is 12 year olds, who have time to spend on the gram I guess. But they won't be buying those Lionel tickets or paying for anything directly, so there is the disconnect. M. and this circus may appeal to the social media devotees, but not the the general paying public.

Stella's MW crimes (70,913)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
I said after the first episode of MW that Stella made multiple stupid mistakes and also Mariah for going along with it. But I can see the sexual harassment angle playing out what with the firing of Anthony. He gets the blame for the NYE show fiasco, while "Boynaka" gets a pass because he is in a "thing" with the boss. That story line should have never seen the light of day. Stellar should have squashed any personal contact with a thirsty employee and M. Instead, that was highlighted and teased about it all summer. I guess Sunday people will see if they take it there, or derail it. The whole interlude has been simply dumb though. Hmmm. I hope M. does not sign on for a season two of MW. Let Mariah's gang have a show of their own without her presence and let them flop all on their own.

Bright side (70,869)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
If TM helps the bulk of the fans who were Stella supporters flip to what many of us have been saying, then his public message will have done some good. The only thing that will work is if fans converge in some sort of unity around Mariah, not Stella like many have been doing. This mess has always been destined for no good, but many supported it blindly. Stella has never been right, or built to manage Mariah and Randy Jackson saw that and as Lee Daniels said sometimes geniuses need to be saved from themselves. I have never liked how Wendy Williams treated Mariah in the past, but even she has been spot on all year about this stuff. Stella has gotten her launching pad, now she will have to sink or swim. M. can make it, but she will have to cut the lifeline she has been giving to Stella and crew at some point.
