About ADAM from USA: I love MC music

Mariah lip-syncing on tour (47,322) by ADAM from USA I think it's unacceptable for Mariah to lip sync so many songs during her tour. She is a singer and if someone is paying for a ticket she has an obligation to actually sing her songs and songs press play from the same CDs we all have at home. It's fraudulent and if so should be noted before purchasing. It makes me upset because fans pay money to see her and she serves her fans back a subpar product. Some of you may say well her presence is enough, but I disagree. When you're doing a free show, fine you get what you pay for just be happy. But when you put on a false show and take advantage of fans devotion to your old catalog of hits that's wrong. Lastly, my feelings about her lip syncing songs were not that much of a problem in the past when it was done on just high notes or a song or two but now the amount of none singing she is doing is just wrong. She needs to continue to be called publicly and hopefully forced to confront why she is doing this practice. (Friday 10 October 2014; 0:54)

The live shows start at the end of the month and still no announcement for any shows in America or Europe. I will be so sad if she doesn't do a NYC show. She could label it whatever she likes, "intimate" evening or "elusive" showing of the chanteuse, I don't care. Just please give back some love to us lambs. What's anyone else's thoughts? Wendy Williams on MC (46,820) by ADAM from USA Wendy Williams was born a female. Some lambs on here are just being mean spirited and spreading the negative word that she has been called "tranny" and has male-like features which are the worst things you could say about any female. Personally, I agreed with Wendy's opinion about Mariah and feel it was done in good spirit. She has been a long time supporter of MC in her radio and now TV days and has never wavered from her support for her whether it was in the Glitter era or even throughout the popularity of JLo in her hey day. She has always stated that MC and JLo are 2 different talents and can both exist which I couldn't agree with more. This rivalry between the 2 divas is really within the lambs and Mariah's delusion that JLo was intentionally apart of the plot to unravel the Glitter project. Anyways, my main point is that just because you may not like someone else telling the objective truth about Mariah's career and status among her fans doesn't make it ok to demean Wendy's appearance, grow up and keep your mean thoughts to yourself. MC's attitude on her fans vs. social media (45,896) by ADAM from USA Mimi L, I couldn't agree more with your post earlier about JD. While we'll never know what truly happened behind the scenes, I always felt grateful for the fact JD was the one on Twitter or interviews giving us any updates about MC's music. I can't remember anyone of MC's earlier managers ever doing the same nor Mariah connecting with the fans about her music. I feel disrespected by that and that it shows Mariah doesn't care about her fans the way she says she does. Otherwise why let JD take the heat from critics and fans when she could sent a tweet or pic disputing it? We all know how she loves to gloat on Instagram in pics of herself or her kids, so it's not like she's not social media savvy. I think lambs need to wake up and see Mariah for who she really is and not make her the victim. She is clearly not communicating with her fans. She makes time to take tons of selfies, chill with B. Scott, makeup team, kids, etc why not tweet your fans to share the love and inform us what's happening with your music and tour? (Wednesday 6 August 2014; 18:05)

Mariah leaving JD and upcoming tour (45,864) by ADAM from USA I think JD did as much as he possibly could have done. He mentioned that he tried to push "Thirsty' as the lead urban single but MC didn't oblige by that and other innuendoes he's alluded to that were shot down by MC or her label. I think it's very clear, MC doesn't want to go out and push her music anymore. We can all speculate on the reasons why (babies, vocal damage, laziness, legendary status) but the end result is the same. JD was in a bad situation where MC once again hires her friends to manage her and then when it's time to manage she becomes unreasonable. I think Mariah needs to address the elephant in the room - her vocal cords, and decide if she's going to have surgery (if this works for her condition, after all she's never confirmed it) or publicly state that she'd like to go into retirement and randomly do one off shows (like Barbra Streisand) because of her aging cords. I think it's disingenuous to keep lip syncing during "live performances" on TV and go on tour to mime the whole show with the exception of a few ad libs and belts to try and throw fans off from the fact she's not singing. I say this as a fan who loves her music and wants her to win, but not like this. She's proven that she makes decisions swayed by the money (American Idol, Virgin records deal, Butterfly drink, perform for dictators) so I fear this latest tour is another notch in her lavish lifestyle at the expensive of her lambs. MIAMTEC era and the lack of promotion (45,302) by ADAM from USA I'll admit, I was skeptical MC could pull off another classic album of this caliber before it was released in June. I thought she lost her magic, passion, and ability to make songs in a meaningful way. However I was rightfully wrong. I love this album so much. The ad-libs, nostalgia for hip and rnb, and simply produced ballad to showcase her limited range nowadays. It's everything I wanted as a fan. However with that being said, I find her lack of promotion for the album very strange. She doesn't talk to the fans directly anymore via Twitter (Name That Tune or Lambily Day), FB, or MariahCarey.com. It's like she doesn't care anymore. I know it's tough for a 44 year old woman to push music but despite your opinions about JLo she works hard to push a project she's peddling. Both have long careers and twins. I just feel like a change has happened in Mariah that has made her greedy and obnoxious and as an affect on her fans alienate us. When Mariah had issues with Sony music during Rainbow, she was very vocal in the press (radio, magazines) and always present in popular culture to push her projects. This time around it's silent. I wish she'd come back down to Earth and regain her humility again to the person she once was. I don't blame IDJ, Jermaine Dupri, Nicki Minaj, JLo, Tommy Mottola - they all can't be villains forever, I think Mariah has to look inside herself and find the hero we all once knew and loved. Mariah on JLo (Allure Magazine) (44,971) by ADAM from USA The catty comments JLo was referring to on WWHL from Mariah back in the day were regarding an Allure magazine spread. I've pasted the comments below: When writer Vanessa Grigoriadis, who was doing an Allure cover story on Mariah, mentioned that she had interviewed J.Lo recently, Mariah didn't hide her cattiness. "I bet it was really intellectually stimulating," said a mocking Mariah. "I bet you could just see the depths in her eyes, she was so soulful." The Post reported that when the Allure interviewer mentioned that Lopez claims to get eight hours of sleep every night, Carey reportedly snapped: "If I had the luxury of not actually having to sing my own songs, I'd do that, too." I think these comments were clearly derogatory and shows JLo is a more secure person by stating she's past it and would like to be friends. Very classy. (Saturday 21 June 2014; 16:53)

JLo vs Mariah (post Glitter scandal) (44,965) by ADAM from USA Thanks GG for the detailed explanation around the Glitter fiasco. What this goes to show us is that Tommy was trying to sabotage MC's project but still doesn't imply that JLo, a new artist and has zero beef to start with someone like MC would want to sabotage MC. Don't forget Tommy is a very persuasive person - this is the same guy who told Mariah to keep "Hero" for herself and not Gloria Estefan and to record a Christmas album when Mariah hated him for it. JLo was used as a pawn in the scheme of things. I don't know why so many people have this intense animosity towards JLo because of the coincidence. I mean in the same article I read about the Glitter fiasco on Foxnews.com in 2002 also references that it a was maybe a taste of MC's own medicine because in the 90's she was sued and settled out of court 3 times for plagiarism attempts from other songwriters. I'm not trying to stir the pot here but am just saying that even our heroes we put on peddles tools have also questionable actions in their repertoire. Lastly, I mentioned Tommy and Mariah in business examples and also in love (when he was still married - separated is still married guys just ask Kim K about that and all the flack she gets from it) as a counter to the attacks many fans give on JLo because its not fair and very mean spirited. JLo had several marriages and unfortunate events (P.Diddy) and the Tommy Glitter scandal but it doesn't make her evil or psychotic and we all know Mariah is not innocent either. Mariah vs JLo (stealing music) (44,940) by ADAM from USA I'm not saying Tommy didn't steal Mariah's sample, but tell me how that makes JLo aware of this nor responsible for the backdoor dealings of a music mogul? I think it makes her a victim of the situation. The bad blood was between Mariah and Tommy, why get mad at JLo? She at the time was just a new artist trying to break into music, don't hate the player, hate the game. And stop acting like JLo intentionally wanted to hurt Mariah, she never met or knew her. Come on. What would be her reason to? Let's not forget Tommy also was cheating on his first wife with Mariah while they were technically not divorced with 2 kids ok for 2 years? You really think Mariah had no idea? I wonder how the first wife feels about Mariah Carey splitting her family. You seem to forget that detail, I'm not judging but at least I'm not saying Mariah is squeaky clean and shouldn't be casting stones when in reality she cheated with Tommy Mottola, which scored her the best marketing and producers anyone with a debut album has ever had in the history of music. JLo on Mariah Carey (besties?!) (44,935) by ADAM from USA Her comments on WWHL only prove how graceful and secure JLo is in her womanhood and success that she could lay out there were bad comments from Mariah in there past and animosity (from the Tommy Mottola connection and music sharing) however she really admires Mariah and wants to be friends. This statement from her I really believe. Regardless of the stats between the 2 icons and many of the lambs feelings about JLo you can't deny JLo and MC have a lot in common. There both millionaires, have empires, twins, still active in the business and are both glamour woman who love to look hot. I think if these two were friends, the world would explode. I mean JLo and MC are such girly girls and equals in so many ways that I think if MC allows herself to bury the hatchet and overcome her insecurity she could have a really sincere friendship with her. I'm rooting for it. I love JLo and Mariah equally and can be objective about each one's success and pitfalls. I wonder how many fans out there also feel the same way. There's enough room in the industry for both woman to exist, I don't think being a MC fan you can't be a JLo fan and love all that she brings to the stage. (Saturday 21 June 2014; 0:32)

Mariah vs JLo (44,883) by ADAM from USA I think if there was another female on AI, JLo would still come across likable and behave normally. I agree AI jumped the shark by hiring another female on her season of the show, but if you watch clips of AI throughout the season, in every single instance before the full on fight, Mariah instigated Nicki with a catty comment or quip about her resume. Doesn't matter what pedigree someone has, if you act like a bully, then ultimately someone will break and you will get what's coming to you. What's interesting to note is, in every interview JLo has always been complementary towards Mariah, always praising her. No shade. Simple, why can't Mariah do the same? Perhaps she doesn't like that JLo is her constant point of comparison - age, career, twins, money etc. Except even with all the promotion JLo has gotten for this new album its predicted to sell less than MCs, however JLo is still way more likable and people like talking about her and wanting to know more about her. Mariah's vocal insecurities (response to Carlos Jaramillo) (44,822) by ADAM from USA Carlos that clip of Mariah from MTV during Christmas was amazing. That's around the time I and the rest of the world feel in love with MC - she had a voice of an angel and the bright personality of a girl from LI. Very relatable and funny. Watching the clip made me sad because it reminded me how out of touch she has become from where she used to be. Nowadays she would never let cameras see her rehearse like that or be so intimate with fans one on one. I wish someone would be able to break through to her from her past and get her to become more humble again. I remember listening to a Wendy Williams interview on YouTube with Brenda K Starr and she recounts in very good detail her relationship with MC and how over the years she shafted her and became so Hollywood. It's an excellent listen and still searchable on YouTube. Its really sad but so believable esp coming from someone who knew MC so intimetely. A good way to re-connect with the public would be to perform another MTV Live Unplugged show. That would hush all the nay-sayers but also show the world that yes her voice has matured but unlike everyone else whose voice is one note, her voice as it ages takes on different textures and tones that no one else has. I think it would win her the respect of the general public. She's a singer's singer and has the guts to pull something like that off. I'm always rooting for her. PJW - Mariah vocal condition (44,808) by ADAM from USA I think Mariah wouldn't risk the danger of not being able to sing again with surgery, especially considering the fact she learned how to sing with the nodules intact and what if they're removed and she can never sing again? Julie Andrews is the best example of someone popular who regrets the surgery. Maybe Mariah has consulted with her privately about it. Who knows? However IMO as a fan, I think she should consider some medical procedure to repair her voice because it's clear even from her speaking voice, how hoarse she has become over the years. At this point I think her usual remedies of a steam room and vocal rest aren't enough to regain the condition of her voice to what it was. I think there are enough professional opera singers, musicians, and doctors to consult with that can attest to the fact that maybe surgery is the way to go because as time goes on her voice is "vanishing". BTW does anyone think that maybe she drinks excessively because she's sad about the deteriorating state of her voice and maybe that's her biggest insecurity? (Monday 16 June 2014; 15:48)

Will the real MC stand up for us? (44,721) by ADAM from USA I wish Mariah would speak directly to the fans and address the lack of promotion and going on with her bad press as of lately. It's not JD's fault or Def Jam's. She is clearly very hard to manage and wants to do things her way. It's just hard to defend her behavior from a fans perspective anymore, it's like she's not the same person she was in the past about her fans. What I mean specifically is remember during the Glitter era where she would leave messages on her website and play NTT on Twitter and created Lambily Day to answer random questions from fans or when HoneyBFly was actually a real club and had events to go to with exclusive access? That girl doesn't exist anymore, it just seems like she's ploying all of us like she cares anymore about her music or fans. If she's over the game then just be honest and sign off otherwise don't play both sides of the game and be disrespectful to your most loyal fans and still expect them to support your endeavors. Exclusive Chanteuse - review (43,917) by ADAM from USA I love the new album. I will admit I was skeptical based on hearing YME and TAOLG however I feel the best tracks have not been released as singles yet and agree with MC that when heard as a whole the album cuts are beautiful and hypnotic. IMO, Your Mine Eternal should have been left off the album, its completely boring - dumb lyrics and melody, we didn't need WBT Part 5. Also TAOLG doesn't belong on the album - its lyrics are too verbose and don't make sense in a melodic form, it's also boring and not add anything to the album. My only fault with the album is that she should have dropped these 2 songs and added the Beautiful (re-sung vocal mix) dance mix from the 7/23 voice message and another unheard song from her archives. Aside from that, the album showcases her voice's complete versatility - from the soft whispers, mid-voice, high-pitches and some new tones and textures we haven't heard before. It's truly amazing. I also think the sounds and producers she choose were very complementary to her voice. Hope you guys like as well. My fingers are crossed we'll be able to get her to #1 for any one of these singles. Mariah on tour for the Exclusive Chanteuse album (43,728) by ADAM from USA I would love Mariah to do a tour in the vein of the Charmbracelet album, which was in smaller venues and labeled "intimate" for her lambily. Personally seeing her at Radio City was the highlight out of the many times I've seen her live. I think we can all agree that she would have a tough time selling arenas as a whole throughout the country, therefore the intimacy of smaller venues where there's no one but her most die hard fans would be awesome. She hasn't toured in a long time, therefore I think if she were really sincere about her devotion to her fans and absence from the music scene, she'd go hard for all of us around the world who support this woman in good times and bad. I mean, what legend do you know whose been around as long or longer than MC is still relevant after many years? Even with the criticism us fans can dish at times at her, I'll admit, it's solely us to always makes sure even her lowest charting songs reach #1 on a dance or RnB chart somewhere. I think its amazing the devotion of us lambs. Kudos to everyone. Let's keep our fingers crossed for another amazing era of MC (love the long title). (Saturday 17 May 2014; 0:16)

Mariah on the Today Show review (part 2) (43,713) by ADAM from USA Its so obvious MC was lipping YDK. First clue what that she moves throughout the song and dances a bit. We know from history that MC never dances and sings with a full on voice like that since her Honey days. Second, MC is not a good mimer. She always has at least 3 times in performance that her mouth misses an ad-lib that she should be singing otherwise. And lastly, when she lip-synces the sound of her voice is always the same tone even when the mic is away from her mouth, there's no breathiness or hoarseness. BTW the rapper also was bad and forgot a portion of his rap that was still playing while he didn't move his mouth. If she were really singing live, her vocals would be mixed of full voice, hoarse voice, and whispery voice - which were all evident during ABMB and TMB (mostly hoarse). I just wish fans would stop always creating excuses for her lackluster performances - she has more than enough time to rest her voice, maintain it, release quality music, and at least appear "interested" during interviews and speak on different topics. I've accepted the fact MC is embarassed by her earlier work, Someday, Emotions, I Don't Wanna Cry therefore she won't make songs like that again and also she won't sound like that ever again. This is MC in 2014 - RNB, Hip Hop, thin voiced diva - the way she likes it. I think it would be a more interesting forum if fans would stop being blinded by their devotion and act more as a realist to share our thoughts on our favorite singer. (Friday 16 May 2014; 22:12)

Mariah on the Today Show review (43,692) by ADAM from USA I think she lip synced YDK the new song because new songs should be heard as the record and are a tough sell if sung live because fans can't sing along and the audio is not clear. However, her live version of TMB was embarrassing. As a fan even I couldn't lie about how thin her vocals were for such an easy song to sing. I really think it's true what people have said throughout the years about Mariah's voice suffering vocal nodules and the damaging way she sings through them ultimetly resulting in her losing her range and texture. This has been said many times over by vocal speciallists and doctors so please don't bring on the hate. ABMB was good and sounded great. I think she was better this time around with the live performance vs on GMA last year. BTW does anyone else feel during her interviews she sounds so disinterested in her answers and always uses the same sound bites about her babies and Nick? You aren't the first nor last person to have twins, please move onto a new subject and stop expecting the world to throw you a parade because you gave birth. She's fully exposed again wearing lingerie and panty hose with an open trench coat and gloves. This sex kitten look is so played and tired, I'm mean come on now you are over the hill and someone's mom now. Move on. I'm not saying she needs to be dressed like a nun, but I think we can all agree that no one needs to see all that anymore at the age of 44. (Tuesday 29 April 2014; 23:52)

Album title prediction, farewell or retirement related (42,712) by ADAM from USA I think the reason is she purposely not revealing the album title yet is because it's going to signal that this is her last album. She said on ET Canada that she has a title and that she wouldn't disclose it yet. That's because when promo time comes the 1st week it's out all the questions will pertain to the name and as MC said earlier, the songs should be listened to in sequence and thus will all make sense in the total bigger picture. This would make sense if this were a grand farewell album. Think about it - The Art of Letting Go is so vague without having the context of the rest of the songs on the LP. This is my opinion. Mariah's new album (42,581) by ADAM from USA Well said Mus from UK. I cannot wait for the new album and despite the little to no press regarding it, I think she's going to come hard this time. There's no other artist that has ever had me in such anticipation before a album release like MC. She always delivers a loaded package. There's the vocals, background vocals, lyrics, innuendoes, beautiful photos for whichever era we're in, etc. Mariah is the whole package and we're all so blessed that we have been able to follow her career for so long and been able to say that our girl always delivers. Let's hope she has a strong promo delivery scheduled and hopefully a world tour that she's been promising for many, many years. I don't care if she lip syncs, I just want to my my Mariah moment. Prediction, Mariah's farewell album (42,556) by ADAM from USA Nikki from the USA, I think you may be onto something. I also think this may be her last album. I started thinking that based on her comment on WWHL with Andy Cohen when she mentioned that "if this were her last album" the arc she would want to convey is a complete message and that rushing the album would be a disservice. I think the length of time from her last CD and preoccupation with her personal life over making substantial music just helps support my theory. I think she's done with the music business and wants to live her life. She'll most likely keep producing music for her own purposes and other people. If you don't agree with me just keep in mind two factors - her deteriorating vocal cords and disinteresting music. When can anyone truly say they heard her not dub a performance in the last 10 years? The magic of her voice seems to only be present when she releases a studio cleaned up version of what she wants the public to hear. It's tough to acknowledge but it's true and really I'm ok with it. Its not her fault, I would do the same thing as well. She's fading out gracefully. What does the message board think? Let's debate it. (Thursday 10 April 2014; 0:15)

Mariah's for St Patrick's Day IG pics (42,202) by ADAM from USA Has anyone else noticed how Mariah posted to IG a bikini pic on a yacht with a tinted green filter passing it off as new when it's from 1999? I think she wants the unassuming public to see the side by side comparison to the pics from yesterday with the shamrock tattoo. You can't fool us lambs MC. Stop lying and accept your 44 year old body for what it is today, move on girl. Anyways it's always funny to see her photoshopped album covers and carefully orchestrated social media pics against her candid pics because it's literally like smoke and mirror effects. Mariah's management and voice (42,163) by ADAM from USA I really miss the days when MC's was armed with a solid team who made sure she was scheduled heavily for radio and TV performances, not this sloppy hit and miss team she's had for years. Ever since she let Rachel join her professional team and JD, Randy and other non managerial experienced members of her friends track her career, it's been hell. I don't know why she let Benny Medina go, when he was the best thing that's happened to her career in a long time. I also wish she would stop lip syncing performances and get her reputation back to good standing. Although she's made an impressive career for herself, I'm afraid her misfires of the 2000's will make people forget about her genuine talents. Here's hoping the album is a amazing. I do hope promotion for the CD goes much better than YME and includes a live performance with real vocals for GMA or NBC. (Sunday 16 March 2014; 23:59)
