Re: Article: Nick Cannon talks having sex with Mariah Carey (65,437) (65,441) by B from USA
He really is. He's immature. He's a joke. His only talent is his looks. Sorry not sorry. He has no talent.

Re: Best eras - in memoriam (65,426) (65,435) by B from USA
I love If We. I wish Mariah had been able to release that song before Jenny from the block stole it and released it first. I'm dying to hear the original Loverboy with the original sample Jenny used.

Re: Candy Bling (65,428) (65,432) by B from USA
The title is off putting. I Still Remember would have been a better title. Candy Bling should have been a single instead of H.A.T.E.U. I love that song. I also love JD's remix.

Re: Candy Bling (65,430) (65,431) by B from USA
Candy Bling is my favorite song from Memoirs. I also love Touch My Body. Mariah needs a sexy summer banger. She needs the right fire starter to make another comeback.

Mariah Carey's underrated sophomore album turns 25 (65,424) by B from USA
Mariah's sophomore effort Emotions is an homage to her influences. Emotions is one of her strongest efforts and it is severely underrated.

Arrangements (65,423) by B from USA
I think Mariah should rearrange her hits like she did for TGIFY. Just her and a piano. This type of arrangement showcases her still impressive vocals and highlights her talent as a songwriter. I hope she does Storytellers. I was so disappointed when she cancelled her appearance.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey's underrated sophomore album turns 25 (65,400) (65,402) by B from USA
They say that once a person reaches a certain level of stardom they become a caricature of themselves. Liz Taylor, MJ, and Britney are examples. Thankfully, Mariah plays with her image and is in on joke. I think it's a defense mechanism she adopted after the Glitter debacle. I'm not making excuses for the splashes or the ensembles though.

Celebrity Damage Control: Mariah Carey (65,389) by B from USA
Has anyone seen this series before? I'm watching it for the first time this morning.

Re: Faded (65,277) (65,281) (65,388) by B from USA
Cry. and Camouflage aren't boring. Especially if you apply what was going on in Mariah's personal life at the time. In a review of Butterfly I read the author wrote to understand the brilliance of Mariah's lyrics (music) you apply her pop music to her pop life. These songs are heartbreaking.

Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,288) (65,387) by B from USA
I listen to MIAMTEC every time I tank. I still love Dedicated, #Beautiful, Make It Look Good, YDKWTD, You're Mine (Eternal), Camouflage, Cry., Faded, and Meteorite.

I've got friends, lifelong friends, do you? Your opinions aren't facts, darling.

Re: Relevant? (65,383) (65,385) by B from USA
Mariah manages Mariah. However, these leaked moments are Stella's bread and butter. She always releases stories to TMZ before one of her series premieres. She didn't make Mariah relevant. Mariah back catalogue has kept her relevant.

Agreed.

Re: Emotions (65,370) (65,375) by B from USA
Mariah has always layered her vocals, especially background vocals, which can't be replicated live. Which is why she uses a backing track and people think she just lips. I think she should removed the layered vocals for live performances.

Re: Emotions (65,366) (65,370) by B from USA
Mariah has some of the hardest songs to sing. Any song from Mariah Carey and Emotions are the hardest. The layered vocals also make her newer songs hard to sing.

Re: Standards/classics (65,348) (65,363) by B from USA
If and when she does a standards album I hope she covers R&B classics by Stevie Wonder, Bobby Womack, Aretha, Dionne Warwick, and Donny Hathaway. I also want a gospel album with traditional hymns and originals like FLAB and I Am Free.

Re: Texting before "Faded" (65,351) (65,362) by B from USA
Excellent point. I was just speculating. I hope if (when) she re-releases Mariah Carey she includes the demos and adds liner notes like she did for #1 To Infinty.

Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,346) (65,361) by B from USA
My bad. She cowrote lyrics with Diane Warren during the Rainbow sessions. CTTA (Mariah's Theme), After Tonight, and There For Me were written by Mariah and Warren. Those are three of her best ballads. I can't wait to hear the song they wrote together. I want lyrics like The Roof, Breakdown, Close My Eyes, and Underneath The Stars. Mariah's pen game is strong. She really doesn't need help with lyrics.

I like the billboard. She looks stunning.

Re: Texting before "Faded" (65,344) (65,359) by B from USA
I hope Mariah uses this docuseries to prove to the public that she can still sing. I want to see her rehearsing and performing. Airing this docuseries in December is a smart decision. Mariah is the queen of December. If she retried today she'd still own December thanks to AIWFCIY and Merry Christmas.

Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,256) (65,346) by B from USA
She wrote her lyrics by herself in the 90's with the exceptions being samples or rap verses. It wasn't until TEOM that she started collaborating on lyrics.

Re: Me I Am Mariah (65,258) (65,345) by B from USA
Agreed. Mariah should cover The Thrill Is Gone on her next album. I also want a studio version of Don't Explain.
(Tuesday 16 August 2016; 18:45)
Re: Texting before "Faded" (65,297) (65,344) by B from USA
I think Mariah was going to include interludes and voicemails of rough cuts of the songs on the album like Taylor Swift did on 1989. I think that was one of her stolen ideas. Another is the surprise release.
(Tuesday 16 August 2016; 18:40)
Re: Style (65,307) (65,342) by B from USA
Mariah has routinely made the end of the year worst dressed list. Even in 05 with Andre Leon Talley dressing her she made the list. If she wants to score another comeback she needs to dress like she did during her tenure on Idol. She looks classy and elegant. She looked like a superstar.

Re: Faded (65,308) (65,340) by B from USA
Big Jim's collaborations with Mariah have always been highlights from their perspective albums. He is also doing a great job as her musical director in Vegas and on her tour.
