M.'s nephew tweets (65,863)

I noticed Shawn sub-tweeted about his uncle, that he doesn't know what he is talking about and he sells stories for money because he is old, broke and sad. Same message he tweeted when Morgan first put out his "blackmail" video last summer. It is extra insulting when Morgan claims he is in Italy because he fears for his life from M. or her fans. LMAO. He is both feeding off of his sick sister A's misfortune and off of his rich sister M. Family can often hurt you the most. What must their mother be thinking?

Re: Chaka Khan'vocals are iffy also (65,851) (65,854)

Relevancy is relative and my point about Chaka wasn't even about relevancy, it was about vocal strength. They all have bad nights, but yes these ladies are seasoned live singers and Mariah seems to have to work harder at what she does. Mariah also pampers her voice for the level of live shows that she performs, where Chaka in particular has been performing for two to three decades longer and she has abused her voice, yet she can still blow. it's not even a diss to Mariah, just an observation. Mariah has a more fragile voice after less than 25 years of professional performing. If she is still performing live at age 60 plus with the strength and regularity of Chaka, Aretha or Patti then great, but she will likely be lipping all of her performances by then, and that is cool too, she is still Mariah and she has her own appeal.

I would argue that these other ladies are relevant and they have been singing for decades longer with strong command of their voices and singing live for them is second nature, not constant smoke and mirrors. Mariah lacks their confidence. I love them all, but Marian's voice is more fragile than theirs.

Chaka totally slayed "Got To Be There". Her voice is truly an instrument. She is one who is fearless, she has sung Jazz, Gospel and soul/funk and all excellently. Chaka, smokes, drinks and has had a notorious drug problem and yet her voice is stratospheric, even today. Funny how that works. A great music biopic is the "Mikki Howard story" done by TVOne, it is a must see. So many great soul divas and divas in general, have come from humble if not tragic beginnings. Chaka was a mess in her youth and introduced drugs to Mikki back in the day. Chaka's own daughter portrayed her in the movie, the resemblance is uncanny. I hope CK's latest stint in rehab works. that stuff is tough even for the rich and famous to conquer, just look at Michael, Whitney and Prince.

There is nothing worse than a family member willing to sell you out to the tabloids. Ugh. Oprah's step sister sold her out, for thousands, now she has no relationship with Oprah who could have helped her with millions. People often get bitter of more famous siblings. I remember seeing the Dorothy Dandridge biopic starring Halle Berry and Dorothy's sister was so jealous and petty and angry towards Dorothy, it reminded me of A. 's relationship with M. It is sad to see. I bet A. regrets saying in that 1995 interview which is on you tube, that she would never take a red cent from M. again. Fast forward 20 years later.

Part of the mom thing is by nature of her mom's age and that she lives permanently on the east coast. Initially in Mariah's marriage to Nick we saw her more often at their family events, but for the last couple of years appearances have been less frequent partly because I believe she takes care of A.'s other two children that she had after the first two boys/now men. Also her mother had a reputation for not liking to be involved when Mariah is in the news, which she has been for the past year with separation/engagement and Stellar stuff. Her mom is also nearly 80 years old. They were last seen together publicly for her mom's 76th birthday going to see Phantom of the Opera in 2013.

It's very sad that she is estranged from her family and I've been wondering about her mom for over a year now. I've known people like Alison, who seem to stay in crisis and I suspect that if Mariah took care of her personally Alison would still not be happy, she would still be vindictive and petty towards Mariah. Her upbringing seems very sad, living with the dad and getting into "trouble" at a young age. She seems bitter towards Mariah on some of those YouTube videos. M. can't compensate for what their mother did or didn't do and it seems like A. wants to sort of punish M. instead of doing her own thing. The addictions don't help.

I said she has already done a cover of "Ill be there" the other songs are good, meaning she has already done one Michael song, even though the Jacksons were involved, lol.

Article: Mariah Carey's brother says she abandoned family (65,798)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|

Sounds like Morgan wants Mariah to do more than he is willing to do. Why didn't he coordinate a trust when she had her inheritance or all the money Mariah has given her. Alison has medicaid and other means to cover her medical care, but if she won't stay in treatment or if she is addicted to sex and danger, she can never be helped. Besides, she has grown children who have the means to help her if they so desire. Alison needs to first help herself and stop trying to pull Mariah into the mire. Mariah does seem to be about self-preservation, which is understandable when it is hard for her to trust anyone.

Not sure what I did wrong, but I was trying to say that "Human Nature" would be great to cover and that she has already done "I'll Be There". [Webmaster: Names should start with a capital, so it's Bobby McFerrin and not bobby mcferrin. The same with songtitles. It's Human Nature or "Human nature" and not human nature.]

I don't understand why she spent that much money on a video for such a wack track. I think she was counting on Pharrell being at his peak then, or she thought it was good enough. The label was smart to put her back in studio with Jermaine, especially for the topper [...]. Pharrell got lucky with [...], a fluke like the old [...] by [...] from back in the day. Somehow I doubt if happy could have been sent back in time those ten years before, that MC would not have agreed to do it, but we will never know.

That's one way to interpret it. I saw it as she may have been a little over the top difficult. I saw it as a statement of shade on both of them. Marriage is communication and commitment of both parties. But yeah he may not have known what to do with someone like her, but now she has become someone unlike she was. That will be difficult for anyone. But anyway.

I do agree that Mariah looked her best in the Say Something video. Cute outfits, nice shoes. The song was "floppage" though. Lol. Nice beat that went no where. Thank God she had Don't Forget About Us, One And Only, We Belong Together, Mine Again. Your Girl, too many, too much good stuff.

Hollywood is sick and full of rich entitled buttholes, so what is new? The only thing these videos do are get people bothered and distracted doing "research" that leads to no where. You or I could make a video and place all kinds of hints and signs and symbols and we would be no closer to the truth than this female who made the video is. It's like pulp fiction, and yet another way for people to capitalize on the fame of the most famous "stars". Of course there are networks of people in any industry, some more deviant than others, that seems to be the nature of cliques, cults, gangs you name it. Whatever is up in Hollyweird, they are all in it and some deeper and higher than others, but make no mistake ain't nobody really talking about it and these little YouTube "prophets" probably no the least. IMO. As always, I hope M. and her kids come out ok on the other side of whatever. Follow the money.

Lol, Debbie is friend to both of them, but probably first to Mariah, but sounded like she told it about both. She is a handful. She is even more so now though with his twin plants lol and with it now being styled by the Kartrashians, "Butterfly" gonna need some university and hopefully not hospital in a minute. And yes Licia, he was telling the truth. He is getting lots of positive feedback because of it too. I would think with his life experiences he would be able to have a few years knocked off of his program though.

Mariah is playing to the "petty" crowd though. The reality tv, pay for emojis and IG, snap chat crowd or something. Lol. Many of those people love the shallow and outrageous behavior. For that crowd, the messier the better, so they will not encourage anyone to "save" her. Things may change, but probably not soon. Those same people hating on your petition efforts now, will probably be her fiercest opponents when and if she gets back to her normal more private self. She is feeding the hand that bites her for some reason.

Not sure what came first the vibe or the name, but clearly we are destined to see lots of these body parts for the time being. At least the latest picture is from one of her show costumes. I wish they had shared more pictures of Martin Lawrence during his TMB moment this weekend. Meanwhile NIck is actually attending Howard University as a freshman. Can't wait to see pictures of Roc and Roe visiting him on campus.
