Maybe, but never "The art of letting go", that song is worse than "Cringefinity". Lol just playing, but really I mean it. Lol. And how can you miss "Lucious" being an abuser in real life lol. There are also allegations that he hit Taraji in the face on set, but they covered it up. Don't mistake slick acting for a gentleman in real life. Dude T.H. is a loser IMO. M.'s nephew commented to someone that he really likes Nick, that he is a nice guy and that he loves Nick's mom. I think he is, he just plays along with a lot of mess, IMO.

Terrance is an admitted spouse abuser and he is back with the last one just had a baby. I think he isn't interested in Mariah. Strahan is with his young blond, again, probably not interested in MC. Plus Strahan is managed by old young Mark, so probably not a good fit. I think M using Nick up, or he wore out before she anticipated. Lol. But they've moved on, I say let them both be great, or at least ok.

Hi Giovanni. Pharrell is alright, but I think she could work with a lot better and fresher, or more musically inclined producers at this stage. I think Uncle Charlie is a better crooner than R Kelly. He is the original, Charlie Wilson and as old as he is, he has been having some R&B chart success. Brian McNight has said some shady things about Mariah and I wouldn't expect anything great from a collaboration from those two. Sam Smith is good and might be a great collaborator. John Legend is good and safe and they are friends so that helps with her. She likes to work with friends. There is a lot of great talent out there. I almost wish she would let someone really orchestrate things for her, that she would work this next project like a 9 to 5, totally professional, no stunts, real instruments. I still say Brittany Howard would also be a good Mariah collaborator too with some good raw southern soul. She needs quality, but unexpected and fun stuff.

No filter (65,466)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
It's got to be ironic to Mariah that she says Roc "is a comedian" and he has "no freaking filter". She does not say he is just like his dad, because she hates to mention him directly, but it's always implied IMO. She might want to work on dem son, what with his boobie obsession etc. A husband about to be ex husband with no filter is one thing, but children with no filter is another. They're going to be growing up in an unorthodox environment to say the least. IJS.

Dont forget "Inseperable" if it's a good night. LMAO. And your list reminds me to listen to "The Impossible", that is a low key jam from Memoirs. Memoirs is memorable in a way, but not my fave MC record, but it will be fun to reminisce listening to it this weekend.

Not really defending him, so many silly things said and done on both sides. But no, Licia, we don't need to see no fights. Lol. Did you see Lilo get janked by her so called billionaire boyfriend? SMH, just end that already. But his comments on Amber's show were rather minor and tame. He has a right to talk and could be saying much messier stuff. The Wild 'n Out stuff is always a pain. He just needs to not host his own show, because that's all they do on that show is talk about somebody's momma or girl. But there is little he can say or do to that, especially when M's ex friends are the one's shading him and her. I won't name the names lol. I don't even get why she invited one of those ex friends to her Vegas show and took pictures with him. They both have a repertoire of mess that seems to crop up for press at one time or another. Interesting, she returns to Vegas next week, right?

Nick interview (65,452)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
So I went ahead and watched it and in the context of the show topic, what he said and did was not that bad at all. The show was on breakups. No he is not that funny, but it really wasn't that bad IMO. He should devise a pat answer when probed about Mariah. Nothing wrong with saying yes to the question, but he could have then said respect to my ex wife and then no further comment. All in all it was an ok interview IMO. It just seems that in that industry, certain people deal with repetitive themes and topics and they run with it, like M and the Jlo comments and the ten year too long Clown feud. They know these things draw attention, both good and bad. I wish both of them would continue to do their best for their kids sake at least. No matter what, the Nick haters are gonna always hate, he just doesn't seem to mind throwing in fuel for the fire from time to time. Some people just don't want him to say anything, or even breathe. Lol.

I agree with that, but I also think they play along with this stuff. I find it a little hard to believe that she could not get him to be more private. They both put a lot on social media that never needed to be out there as if they wanted people commenting and debating. But I am a skeptic about most entertainers. Lol. But trust me, most comedians are very graphic about sex, Monique on queens of comedy, or Kevin Hart. He had some of the funniest jokes about his then wife and kids. Even Chris Rock. It is a double edged sword comedy, that is.

He's not saying anything he hasn't said before. Sure he should stop, but they will probably be photographed together in another family photo, like all is well. He talks like most silly comedians, he is just the only one who has been married to a superstar. Well Russell Brand is not funny and he was not gracious at all to Katy Perry. Mariah and Nick both knew who they were marrying.

Yes, TMB is a classic. I love, love, love that little ditty. Lol. Very cute, fun, sexy and playful. I love Aretha's cover of it too, so hilarious to see her perform it on YouTube. I hate the remix that R Kelly made though. Ugh, he gives me the heebie geebies. hahaha. Kelly is the epitome of irrelevant, with his new 19 year old girlfriend, who he met at the club with her momma.

Lol true about the title, she hardly ever says candy bling, but I love the way she says the remember part. Such a good, cool song. I was stunned to hear it sitting up in starbucks on break. Lol. It's been so long since weve heard a recent song on the radio waves. Lol. I can't wait for that moment to happen again. I heard Beautiful a few times, but not in heavy rotation. Lol. I loved when TMB was a smash and you heard it two times an hour. Lol.

Pharrell has had a few great songs, but he is a bit over rated IMO. Say Something was lukewarm at best. She does need just the right combination of music, lyrics and arrangement. I hope she has some good things coming soon just to whet our appetites, if not an actual home run. She needs to get a base hit again. Lol. I wish she could get her music on Scandal or some hit show.

I actually heard this playing yesterday while in Starbucks. Sounded so cute, so good. I like the way Mariah sings so smoothly and tells the story about fond times. She really can get a variety of colors and flavors to her voice. A nice little song too.

Article: Mariah Carey to perform at sold-out Israel show (65,403)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
This article from last year is very telling. Especially when M. says she heard about boycotts of Israel, but she does what she wants to do and doesn't get into people's political agendas. But the reason she went to Israel was James and his connection to Netanyahu the leader there. IDK, but it would seem a good idea to stay away from political hotbed locations, especially bringing your children along, Here's an article about how J.P. became besties with the Israel leader. His ties are usually financially motivated and he often dances along to different religions if it fits his financial purposes like he did with Scientology, until their position on gambling pushed him away. Now he is trying to invest in Israel. I still say follow the money in all of this distraction.

Re: Relevant? (65,397) (65,398)
by RibbonB from USA

We may never know the real meaning behind all of this, but Stellar is friends with Brett and James and James supposedly thinks highly of the whole idea and he also is playing along with their Stellar chaperone/hangerson to Mariah for the past year and contracturally into the future with Hallmark movie contracts. Stella is a show producer and takes a totally different approach with TI and Tiny's show. Maybe Eddie Morales with spill some more tea, because he seems to think there is something seriously wrong with Stella and her crew. Perhaps more will be revealed on this reality show. It's all a mess, and M is deep in it. I have said that M is hedging her bets with someone to blame if it all goes up in flames. She can pretend that she doesn't like reality shows, that she is too private and too proud, but she is dancing with the devil it seems. So to speak, lol.

Mariah has always been relevant. She had the Beacon shows before Stella, she was already doing Empire from season one, she has been getting her star on the walk of fame for years before Stellar and Christmas has always been her season, since AIWFCIY. Now will this reality show help her sell a record? That is yet to be determined. Even Nick said "Mariah manages Mariah". In his opinion. I asked months ago if M. is in command, or a commodity, seems like she is both, but with a lot of role players. This is one crazy play though. Lol.

Stacked vocals (65,376)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
Mariah has really mastered the stacked, multi layered vocals and I do love them on record. She could learn from the O.G. stacked vocal diva herself, Miss Chaka Khan. Chaka was one of the first to do her own background vocals on record and she has some excellent examples from as far back as the seventies. But Chaka also had a keen ear for selecting some of the best background vocalists in the game who could support her on stage. Voices like Vesta, Angie Stone, Helen Baylor who are vocal power houses aptly supported her on her amazing songs and made Chaka one of the best acts to see live, when she wasn't high. Lol. I think Mariah shortchanges her material by using backing tracks and not arranging her songs for best use of BG vocalists on stage. I also think she uses far too many dancers etc. to get her songs accross. But she does what works for her. Most of the real singing divas don't use dancers. Chaka also had the advantage of starting out with a stellar band too though.
