She's provided a voice, lyrically and vocally, through her songs for the gay community. As a 12 year old gay boy hearing Outside helped me realize I wasn't the only one who felt out of place everywhere. Stop trying to diminish her importance to the LGBT community. She's not some starlet trying to redeem herself after a public mishap by becoming the face of a charity. Mariah has donated to many charities. Hasn't had it (hadn't had it) since the E=MC2 era. She has her confidence back in both her body and voice and she's displaying that on tour. This tour is shaping to be one of her most successful. She has said that that was the sound she wanted for the record. It has also been stated that C&C would bring her beats and she would take it from there adding melodies and writing her lyrics. The fact that what Tommy and JLo did got Mariah Sony/Columbia's biggest act released from her contract still owing the company an album speaks for itself. Every song sounds like another song. Re: Beautiful (61,579) (61,582) by B from USA Agreed. #Beautiful had the potential to be her 19th #1 but Mariah injured herself and the label basically stopped promoting the song once they realized the album was being delayed. Its dated and hasn't aged well. Glitter features some of her best vocals but the rappers overpower Mariah. I read a review of Butterfly that says to truly understand the brilliance of the album one must apply Mariah's pop life to her pop music. (Sunday 24 April 2016; 14:54)

She has to compete with newer artist half her age. She looks amazing and her body hasn't looked this good in years. She needs to not only deliver the goods musically but she has to look good as well. I just commented on one of her videos on YouTube that she was such a workhorse in the 90's constantly writing (and rewriting songs multiply times for remixes), that she probably has hundreds if not thousands of songs that we haven't heard. Does anyone have an MP3 of the full version of We're Not Making Love Anymore, her duet with Michael Bolton? I would love a copy. I recently lost my phone and also lost my only copy of Slipping Away. I still can't believe the backlash she's been receiving from fans over pictures uploaded/posted on her social media accounts. She's stunning and her body looks amazing. If she wants to show off her hard work I say do it. The infamous shot of her behind was sexy. She's working her ass off to look and sound her best and she should be applauded for doing so. Her voice is otherworldly. Countless people said her best days, vocally, were behind her but she's slaying on her Sweet Sweet Fantasy world tour.
