Mariah Carey wants to party with Britney Spears
She just announced her new residency during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. And Las Vegas better get ready as Mariah Carey is planning on partying with fellow sin city performer Britney Spears - as she revealed to TMZ on Wednesday evening.
And the 44-year-old songstress seems to already be in the party mood as she donned a racy French maid costume complete with lace trim and gloves during her Ellen segment. Mariah was out enjoying dinner at Craig's in West Hollywood on Wednesday night when she was asked by TMZ if she'll be hanging with the Toxic hit maker in Nevada.
The R&B diva exclaimed "Of course!" as she got into a waiting vehicle, clad in a plunging midnight blue mini dress - the same she wore for her Ellen interview earlier in the day. The comedienne kicked off the chat - which will be aired on Thursday - by prompting Mariah to tell the audience some exciting news.
"Well, I 'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars," the star announced. "This is a special event for me." Meanwhile, Britney - who is currently on a break from her own Vegas residency Pieces Of Me - was spotted leaving a dance rehearsal in Thousand Oaks, California on Thursday. The mother-of-two had her blonde locks swept into a messy ponytail and sported a casual jersey top and black yoga pants.
Although it hasn't been disclosed what kind of payday Mariah will be earning, it's thought to be considerably more than the reported $30 million Britney got for her two-year residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. TMZ reports Mariah will be filling in for the resort and casino's current resident songstress Celine Dion, 46, who is planning to take an indefinite break that could last months or maybe even a year. The newly single Mariah is said to have flown quietly into Las Vegas last week to finalise and sign the lucrative deal. (Mail Online)
