Olivia Newton-John empty handed at Carey's BBQ
Olivia Newton-John has admitted she turned up late to a BBQ at Mariah Carey's house, and arrived empty handed. The Grease star, who is extending her residency in the Las Vegas Strip, was invited over to her fellow stalwart singer's pad for an intimate gathering.
"She'd just started in Vegas and I wanted to welcome her to the strip," Olivia Newton-John told Kiis 1065's Kyle and Jackie O show. But when Jackie asked if the 66-year-old brought a bottle of wine, or crackers and dips, to the soiree, Newton-John revealed she'd committed a major faux pas. "You make me feel guilty - I didn't bring anything," she said.
This did not go down well with the radio duo. "It's an old Australian tradition that all ladies must bring a plate when you go over to someone's place," Kyle said. "Good form Olivia," Jackie added.
Newton-John said she and her husband had just touched down in Vegas and didn't have time to pick anything up. "We actually missed the BBQ," she said. "We got off the plane late and there wasn't any food left by the time we got there." (Yahoo7 News)
