Could Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak be under the mistletoe this Christmas? According to a new TMZ report, the two were spotted holding hands in Aspen, Colorado, while visiting local restaurant Catch Steak. As the outlet points out, the Why Lawd? musician was also seen with his hand around Carey's waist while entering the eatery.
However, a source told the outlet that the Grammy winners are not dating and even left the dinner separately. Carey shares 13-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with ex-husband Nick Cannon, whom she divorced in 2016, while .Paak filed for divorce from his wife, Jae Lin Chang, in January. The former couple, who married in 2011, share two sons: Soul Rasheed, 13, and Shine Tariq, 6.
In June, Carey and Paak linked up during recording sessions at Electric Lady Studios in New York, where Monroe and Moroccan were also present. While chatting with Vogue to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her seventh album, Rainbow, Carey teased a collaboration with .Paak, although she didn't mention him by name.
"I've actually been working this whole week in the studio with someone who shall remain nameless, but I'm so excited about that. The next album is happening and coming soon, so be patient," she told the publication.
Carey, who has been married twice before - her first husband being record executive Tommy Mottola - last dated her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka, on and off from 2016 to late 2023.
In October, the "Queen of Christmas"' told Billboard that she considers herself a "more 'friend' type of person" rather than jumping head-first into dating, telling potential suitors to "get it on a friendly level".
