Mariah hits strong in Latin America

Once again, reports from around the world let us know how well Mariah Carey has put her career back in track. Earlier reports stated the impressive success of both "It's Like That" and "We Belong Together" in North-America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. Now, it's the turn of Latin America.

According to Mexican web-portal Esmas.com, which used information gathered from the most important radio stations in each country, Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" is among the most requested and listened songs in different countries. More impressive, "We Belong Together" is among the very few songs in English appearing on these charts.

Mexico, as the rest of North-America, has listed the song as one of the most listened tracks in the most important radio stations in Mexico City and other main cities. In South-America, "We Belong Together" dominates the charts in countries such as Brazil, El Salvador, Chile, and Panama, among others. Even though, MTV Latin America still seems to ignore R&B and hip-hop music (with very few exceptions), Mariah Carey has been able to expose her new music through radio, magazines, and different TV.
