I meant marriage not just wedding, although some are predicting she's going to do a WBT moment and jilt the "handsome devil" at the altar. Lol.

To be fair Butterfly, Mariah did often profess her love and faith in God. Many did and still appreciate that about her. She seems to be playing an extended game of opposites lately though. Not doing, saying much of what she used to profess. At least she didn't do a 55 hour weekend wedding like Brittany, yet. We shall see if she beats her idol and new spirit animal Kim Kardashian's 72 day wedding, that is if she makes it down the ailse this time.

Mimi was probably just dancing to "Swimming pools" (drank, faded) by Kendrick Lamar. It does have a nasty beat that makes you wanna stop, drop, twerk and roll. Lol. Or maybe she was listening to her own jam Migrate, I doubt it was her own song Faded though.

Her nephew does seem the narcissist and he may be a yes person, but it seems that Mariah requires that if one is to be around her for long. He seems to be the one constant from her family though. They grew up together and she has taken care of him and put him through school. He seems to be in on the industry jokes and stunts. Who knows what's really going on, let's hope she makes it out fine. In other news, James just hired some chick for his firm who looks just like his typical wife, brunette, tall and thin. Perhaps the plot thickens. Lol.

You don't know what happened. Perhaps she hurt him. It's all speculation. James is likely the wolf to worry about for sure, right here and now. Follow the money especially in that industry. Gambling, Scientology, lots of money make for a really deep rabbit hole for Mariah to get lost in.

Nick gets shoes and suits from designers to wear for free just like many entertainers. That is no big deal. He works hard and gets lots of deals just like Mariah does. Besides the turban, he usually dresses better than Mariah and James combined. Nick is trying to be peaceful in this break up lately, so people should leave him in peace. When he and Mariah were happy he was her biggest champion and cheerleader. Now they both have to little wonders to raise, who I hope wont be terribly affected by all the whirl wind that is M's world. Mariah showed more stability, and comfort while they were happy, at one point she even said Nick was nurturing to her, just like her mother was. My how things have changed. But they usually change again, so there is that.

Of course, but no one should take offense to black lives matter either, yet Rudy Guiliani and countless others have tried to turn it into something negative. Marissa hit the nail on the head with her response. The reason people checked Maxwell was the context not the sentiment. But the real point of my post is people will clap back at celebrities who dare to jump in the mix of current events. It just is what it is.

Oh please Nick is a good guy and he did try to help his wife at every turn. Just because James is rich doesn't mean he is helping her image. In fact look how cheap he and his team are encouraging her to act, reality show and all.

Maxwell All Lives Matter (64,231)
by RibbonB from USA
| |
|
|
So Maxwell has a new cd out this week. He also tweeted about Black Lives Matter in such a way that upset quite a few people. He said something about All Lives Matter, which led many people to think he missed the point especially in light of the Philando shooting in Minn. When getting political goes very wrong. Maxwell has since deleted his tweet and spent some time trying to clarify himself. Either way he got press during his cd release, but not all good. Yet another reason why M. can speak or not speak. Her platform, her risk.

I have never been a fan of Brett and all of his Mariah videos since TMB have been trash. I find it unsettling that he claims Roman Polanski as one of his bff's and mentors though. Eww. On a positive I suppose, his ex girlfriend Serena Williams just won Wimbledon and her 22 grand slam title.

He was very actively involved and was one of their biggest benefactors. If he is no longer, it's because he is so rich that they leave him alone, otherwise he would be targeted. It is still strange to me that he still associates with them, by hiring their handlers. I just think they are a dangerous weird group. But whatever.

Most of us who post here love and support Mariah. There might be a few trolls from time to time, lol. But love and support is not blind acceptance. She fired a team of people who said they love and support her or they quit because they were not going in the same direction. Mariah seems to have some single minded focus lately and she's rocking with a group of people that she believes are taking her there, or she just decided to roll with the money team. But you're doing your friends and loved ones an injustice if you don't speak up when you feel there is cause for alarm or concern. This group of people she is now with are continually sending up red flags, alarms and if fans to just accept everything unconditionally or without question would be careless and destructive to that loved one. But both sides do create balance, so until Mariah decides to get off this boat upon these rocky seas, then voices of dissent and acceptance might be just what she needs. If she got nothing but "yas queens", she could be sailing off into the sunset of Stella's mess or scientology with JP, or who knows what. If she had nothing but "oh hell no bih". She would really be in trouble too. The problem she has with extremes is balance also creates stagnancy and confusion among fans. Tug of war is a messy kind of thing especially if one side gets too tired, or stops caring. An artist needs to stop playing games, or at least make it not so evident. Lol to paraphrase Eddie, Mariah's prior dancer/choreographer, let's hope Stellar doesn't sink the ship before Mariah makes her big comeback.

I thought I sent a separate response to you Jade, but that response was to Marissa, but it also applies to you. I appreciate what you both had to say on the subject. The whole thing is a lot, ypu know? We are going into tough times that may get tougher with this coming election, so we better brace ourselves. But I'm not looking to MC to direct the ship so to speak. Lol.

I wasn't implying you were not doing anything about it and I get that you are venting. But we all can really only control what we can do. Focusing on Mariah and her comments or non comments is just an extra step or a diversion if you will. But hey vent away. As I said I wasn't trying to criticize you, just offering a vigorous debate, because I feel people have a right to use or not use their platform. I'm a black woman and my black life matters, but I'm sure not gonna go sitting on a darn freeway blocking traffic to make a statement, but I'm proud of the one's who are so passionate to take such a risk. I just personally don't have any judgement for how people handle this kind of trauma to society. But you are assuming Mariah has anything constructive to say. what if she said something and you didn't agree? Even politicians have no real solutions. It's a big issue that we all need to work on.

Well the team just prior to the Stella team quit, they said because they did not want to participate in this drama. Eddie Morales' original IG rant basically spelled things out, that they did not want to be involved in some elaborate stunt that is designed to make Mariah look bad and take her in a direction that they did not feel comfortable with, or want to participate in. Now Mariah and Stellar claim they fired them, but I believe they quit as they claim. Eddie even congratulated Flaky Tanaka for his new "job" and that was before he even had the creative director title. Hopefully Nick is throwing a wrench in things by trying to keep the kids off the show, or perhaps it's just from lack of real interest from the general public.

If she says something, someone somewhere will say it's too much, too soon, too little or too late. People aren't that influenced by her words or anyone else's, and if you don't agree with their words they get dragged for filth. Wendy Williams made a stupid comment about HBCU's and many people would love to know that she got flayed by so called "black twitter" lol. I just think people tend to make too much of whether or not Mariah has said something or not. I'm sure she would prefer her opinion could drive people to buy her records, but alas. Her platform is hers alone, just like anyone else who has one. The president, Dali Lama, Oprah, or anyone else can only do so much and really only what they feel inclined to do. And the self righteous people about people being spiritual would complain about her saying pray for whatever. Not criticizing you, but do your part instead of pushing Mariah to do her part to make you or others feel better.

Best wishes to Chaka Khan (64,123)

I understand she just voluntarily went into rehab for an addiction to painkillers. These are scary times especially for hardworking entertainers who often do more than their bodies should be able to do. That is a tough industry and we all know that Mariah had a very painful arm/shoulder injury a couple of years ago. I am hoping all is well with her and her arm. Aretha, Mariah, Chaka and Sade are my absolute favorites. After the loss of Prince, we just have to hope that people we look up to are taking the very best care of themselves. If they don't it's been shown time and time again that often, no one else will.

I hear ya, but IMO Mariah doesn't need to speak on this or any subject especially if she is not in that frame of mind. She is an entertainer and if she decides to remain silent on Orlando or Black Lives Matter, or any subject I am cool with that. She is not a politician and her personal words don't give me any comfort, unless it's [...] or [...] or some inspirational song. This world has some huge problems and M. already needs an entourage for her own day to day life. Songwriting is her area of expertise. Obviously she is preoccupied now, but that too may change. I believe we are about to see a turnaround and I think eventually it will be for the better. Some people love what she is putting out lately, but many don't. When things stop working for her and her children she will adjust. Hopefully she will find the right balance for her. She is doing so much, even too much lately and that has got to slow down because what goes up, must come down.

I for one am not missing Bran Flake and she would have no legitimate reason to have him there, since she is on vacation and not performing her show. The other ones are glued to her side though. I wonder how they will manage the unlikely to happen honeymoon.
