I'm happy for Mariah. As long as she's happy I'm happy for her.

Collaborators (59,229) by B from USA
Mariah needs new collaborators. She needs new producers with fresh ideas and sounds. I think Happy Perez, Miguel, and Frank Ocean would be excellent writers/producers for her to work with for her next studio album. Working with Warren and Eric Hudson is a step in the right direction.

Mariah needs to mature lyrically on her next album. She needs to write lyrics like the lyrics she wrote for Daydream and Butterfly. I find it odd that as she's gotten older her music, especially her lyrics, have gotten younger. Has anyone else noticed this? MIAM was a step in the right direction. However, #Beautiful was the only radio friendly song on the album. I love MIAM but I think after the label stopped promoting #Beautiful causing it to stall at #15 on the Hot 100 she decided to record an album for the lambs and herself. I want songs like Breakdown, The Roof, Butterfly, Melt Away, Close My Eyes, Honey, and Fantasy. Mariah make another classic album that merges your love for classic R&B with the Pop music of today. She's mastered this art form. Music Box, Daydream, TEOM, and E=MC2 are examples of this.

Re: Last Night a DJ Saved My Life (59,226) (59,227) by B from USA
I think Never Too Far and Lead The Way should have been the single from Glitter. I would have chose If We over Loverboy and LNADSML.

Mariah (59,205) by B from USA
Mariah's been busy. She did Vegas, the annual Beacon shows, the book, the lipstick, the movie, and the special. She deserves a little R&R. I think she'll release a new song/single in the spring.

Agreed.

Re: B for Balmain (59,175) (59,187) by B from USA
Mimi, we did get a Balmain moment. Hopefully, the next Balmain moment will be edgier. I'm convinced that she's a member of the messageboard. I would also love for her to guest star on How To Get Away With Murder. She could play a social worker who tries to help a young Wes in flashbacks or a lawyer. Empire's second season suffered from too many guest stars.

Chanel was my favorite.

Legend (59,169) by B from USA
Mariah has an instantly recognizable voice. The timbre of her voice is beautiful. She's still capable of vocal feats that none of her so called successors or peers are capable of.

Re: "Best-selling female artist of all time" title (59,154) (59,164) by B from USA
And please keep in mind selling less than 100,000 copies of an album in certain foreign markets can get an artist a Gold certificate. In the US an album has to sell/ship 500,000 copies before it receives that distinction.

Re: "Best-selling female artist of all time" title (59,152) (59,154) by B from USA
Most of Madonna and Barbra's biggest sellers were released before in advent of SoundScan. Mariah is the best selling female artist of the SoundScan era.

Re: Has Mariah peaked with AIWFCIY? (59,135) (59,150) by B from USA
Always Be My Baby, We Belong Together, Fantasy, and Dreamlover are massive hits, maybe it is a UK thing. However, just because she isn't as successful in the UK doesn't mean she's a one hit wonder. She's extremely successful in foreign markets. IWKWLI was huge overseas.

Article: "Empire" co-creator shoots down Mariah appearance (59,149) by B from USA
If and when Mariah appears on Empire I hope she plays an over the top version of herself. Play up the ditzy demanding diva and be in on the joke. Doing so would endure her to viewers and would be a perfect move to jump star her musical comeback.

2016 (59,146) by B from USA
After the Rockefeller debacle and the opening night of The Elusive Chanteuse Tour mishap Mariah spent 2015 working on her voice. She's clearly been seeing a vocal coach and rehearsing before performances now. Her voice is in fine form. She's also regained her confidence. Being in love clearly agrees with her. She has also shed the weight she gained after the accident and divorce. She's touring Europe this year and hopefully she'll release a stellar song with an amazing video. She looks the best she has in years. I think 2016 will be Mariah's year.

Mariah looks stunning. I'm ready for a new song or album.

Re: Mariah vs Beyonce (59,045) (59,049) by B from USA
Easily. I was reading an article on Billboard article earlier that said Bey has a four octave range and I said to myself since when, lol. I've been a fan of B since Destiny's Child's first album and No, No, No but she's not the best singer of her generation. She can sing but her voice isn't a once in a generation type of thing.

Minja? She was younger when they worked together.

Re: Hallmark (59,032) (59,036) by B from USA
Andrew, I'm not talking about Mariah's performance. Her film was a ratings success for Hallmark. If the film hadn't been a success for the network they wouldn't have hired her to direct three more films. Just saying.

Hallmark (59,021) by B from USA
Mariah's directioral debut was a success. She's directing three more films for Hallmark. The article doesn't clarify if she'll star in any of the films or not. I'm looking forward to the greeting card line she's also working on with Hallmark. I've always loved their cards.

Re: Wendy Williams (59,007) (59,008) by B from USA
Because she tries to pass these rumors and insinuations off as facts and her fans believe every word she says.

Wendy (59,006) by B from USA
Wendy is a troll. She needs to go crawl back under the bridge she came out from under.
