Mariah herself has allegedly said she would give up her hits to earn the respect that people give to Mary J Blige. She also always complains about how people don't give her enough credit as a songwriter because they only see her as an over the top diva. In other words she wants the respect. I, for one think she looks great in the bodysuits and her body is in great shape, but I'm sorry we must be watching different videos if that lap dance was "sexy". It was unnecessary, awkward and clumsy. She is not the best dancer, she doesn't need to be. She has the voice, she however also doesn't also need to give random lap dances and tell her dancers to rub up against her from both sides and then ask them to get her boobs in the shot. You can either do that and or you can demand respect. If Mariah wants respect, this isn't the way to go. Day by day she is becoming more of a Kardashian, known more for her diva antics and over the top lifestyle than a legend, a songbird supreme. She is doing it to her own image. I won't blame her entourage because well, we all agree Mariah is smart enough so she should know better. (Friday 6 May 2016; 20:34)

I saw the video and I am like, Mariah seriously? First of all why even bother and secondly it was so awkward that 2-3 other people had to stabilize her here and there (so she doesn't fall, just like the way they hold her when she is walking on those high heels) because she can't give the lap dance herself. Also now she doesn't have a good reason to complain about Nick partying it up with all those girls, because she was doing the same. What makes the lap dance weirder is that her kids are usually there around the stage and they witnessed this awkward situation. (Thursday 5 May 2016; 10:45)

But my point remains the same, avoiding her "enemies" at an event is a very silly reason not to go since the entertainment industry is a small place. Even though I am not a Rihanna fan (and I have brought up the change in Billboard rules), and I wouldn't want Mariah to be dethroned by her, the fact remains that Rihanna has managed to get #1's based solely on her popularity. She is also as much responsible for the success of the tracks she is featured in as the main artist. Because come to think of it, the only parts of those songs I remember are her parts. It is surprising that Beyonce with all her popularity couldn't even come close to Rihanna even though Rihanna came years later. I also agree about Mariah basically sabotaging her self at this point (my words, not yours) by basically giving up on many opportunities to get more #1's (not just Justin's one). Rihanna now stands the chance of breaking 2 more of Mariah's records, the most #1's by a solo artist and most weeks at #1. (Monday 2 May 2016; 11:13)

ET interviews (61,767) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter It's funny how in most Mariah interviews we really don't get any info. Save for some (like the one in which she talked about her music, which I loved). She is always so busy fixing her hair, fixing her boobs, turning away letting her hair cover her face, interrupting the interviewer that we end up getting no info, especially when the interviews are as short as these. Can't Mariah just stand still for a second, give straight answers and let the interviewer finish their questions and then just call it a day? Also, in a simple question like when the interviewer was asking her about how she feels about the kids turning 5, we get a "don't speak, don't speak dahlin'" all the while fixing her hair. Why not a simple "I can't believe how fast my babies are growing up"? Monroe clearly looks up to Mariah and Roc is a mama's boy, so does she want them to be stuck in the "eternally 12" cycle too, where they will be scared of getting old? If Mariah wants people to take her seriously, she needs to take herself seriously first and portray that image to the world. This whole over dramatic diva thing is getting a little too much. Some really disturbed person must have all the time in the world and also be smart enough to use the name of Diane Martel to fool the lambs. I understood on the second day of following this person on instagram that he/she is certainly messing with us so I un-followed her. They said the release date is May 22nd, which just so happens to be the BBMAs air date. Whoever did this, made it look real but oh well, we are victims of a hoax once again. This will make Beyonce the only artist to have 6 consecutive #1 album debuts. It's unfortunate because this album is going to #1 just on hype alone. The songs are not my favorite. I just liked 3 songs in total. What makes it worse is MIAM was somewhat in the same line as this album (cheating and then finding confidence in yourself) but made no impact. Re: Bey and MC (61,715) (61,721) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Yes, but this case is different for 2 reasons: (1) This time it wasn't just a random staff member or bystander who made the statement, it was supposedly Diane Martel herself, a well known director. Someone whom both Beyonce and Mariah would trust to keep a secret (if this is supposed to be a secret project). (2) The announcement was not taken down. Yes the original "special project" announcement has been replaced by a "stay tuned beyhive and lambs" caption. Plus this person is going around liking other instagram accounts that shared the original photo and then the person started following official accounts of "Zayn, Vanessa Hudgens and 20 other people". All these are making me doubt the account's authenticity. Yes a selfish part of me still wants this to be true, but this is a little suspicious. What I am thinking is that this perpetrator is very clever to use the identity of someone both Mariah and Beyonce worked with. But hey I'll be super glad if I am wrong and this is actually happening because I am so ready for a Beyonce collaboration. (Thursday 28 April 2016; 20:26)

Bey and MC (61,711) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I am starting to feel like someone is playing with the lambs and Beyhive. I followed Diane's instagram account. And there is just one picture there. The previous pictures she uploaded (ex the "something special" one and the "#Twisted" one) has been removed. She re-uploaded the Mariah-Beyonce picture and captioned it "stay tuned". I don't get why she will delete the previous pictures. This is the only post on her account at the moment. I also am thinking if this was indeed happening and is supposed to be a secret, why would Diane (if that's really her) spill the beans? Plus Diane had like just 750 instagram followers (which is basically nothing for a celebrity) and now after making such claims she has 1200. This account might actually just be a fake and we must have been duped once again. (Thursday 28 April 2016; 15:12)

Update on the new project (61,695) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter So previously we learned that the supposed collaboration was named "Closer to Heaven" but now Diane Martel has apparently posted a new instagram with a picture that says "#Twisted X.X. *lemon emoji*" (so definitely a Beyonce project?) and it is captioned "Becky and I don't know her". (61,688) (61,692) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I am always in need of new Mariah music but if Mariah is releasing a new album, I hope by surprise it means that instead of posting pictures everyday about being in the studio (like she did during MIAM) with no indefinite release date, she has secretly finished the album and announces it a week or 2 before its release. Because a completely surprise album (like Beyonce's album "Beyonce") from Mariah may not work because of some reasons. Secondly it will become a joke if it doesn't match up to Beyonce's record because people will talk about how she tried and failed and that's a risk Mariah doesn't need right now. So she should announce it before hand like Beyonce did this time with "Lemonade" (because probably even she thought she can't pull a second completely surprise album just by dropping it on iTunes without any announcement). Plus I hope a promo plan is in place in advance. My heart can't take another messy, half ass-ed roll out. This is giving me anxiety dahlin', it's giving me anxiety. (Thursday 28 April 2016; 1:35)

They should capitalize on the buzz these 2 names will cause. I hope it won't just remain an album cut. Diane's involvement does suggest there is a music video involved so that's good. I am also excited about this being a good Mariah video finally since Bey usually has big budget videos like mini movies recently. So yes. As for the Vegas show, I definitely think they should drop the #1's limitations and include other popular songs of hers. (Wednesday 27 April 2016; 19:36)

I still have my reservations though, I've been played by this rumor before haha. By the way M, was it you who mentioned a Beyonce fan page that predicted a lot of true things about Bey's career? What was the name? "Closer to Heaven" sounds like a spiritual song, but hey with Beyonce you never know. If Mariah does get together with Beyonce I would rather want them to work on a more commercial single worthy song just so they can take advantage of the hype. (Wednesday 27 April 2016; 18:17)

Could this be true? And if this is a Beyonce project featuring Mariah, well at least the quality of the music video will be better (hahah lambs don't throw things at me). I seriously will shoot someone if this is the same situation like what happened when Anthony Burrell shared this picture of MC and Bey and said something like he was honored/lucky to be working with both of them. This was during the time rumors of Mariah being on Bey's record was going strong. But later fizzled out and we thought he meant he worked with them separately.
