Can't Let Go (54,695) by B from USA
Can't Let Go is a classic. The song is haunting and the video is beautiful. The video is one of my favorite Mariah videos. She looks so beautiful and classy.

Make It Look Good (54,694) by B from USA
Make It Look Good is one of my favorite songs. Had it been released in the 90's it would have ruled A/C radio.

The comparissions (54,693) by B from USA
Mariah was compared to Whitney, Britney was compared to Madonna, and every singer that has debuted since 1998 has been compared to Mariah i.e. Christiana, Jessica, Arianna, and Tori Kelly. Mariah's style is unmistakable. When you hear a song by Mariah it is obvious she wrote it and had a hand in the arrangement of the song. Mariah Carey has a signature sound that is instantly recognizable as is her voice. The problem I had with Arianna Grande is that she wasn't trying to find her own voice, she was mimicking Mimi. She is a talented mimic. Is she a talented singer or is she just mimicking one?

Fourth Of July (54,674) by B from USA
Fourth of July is a lyrical masterpiece. Mariah is the lyricist of our generation. Personally, I hope Mariah is inducted in the Songwriter Hall of Fame more than the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. She is an expert at capturing an emotion lyrically.

I agree that Mariah's voice hasn't deteriorated like many seem to think. Her voice has matured and is still impressive. Yes, she fails to hit notes and sounds winded when she doesn't rehearse or hasn't rested properly before a performance but those things can easily be explained. Can they support their claims about her supposed vocal deterioration without making accusations that can't be proved? No. Most articles and YouTube videos either claim Mariah is an alcoholic or drug user. Those who want to claim Mariah doesn't take her care of her voice, wasn't properly trained, and used (uses) a poor technique are clearly ignorant.

Mariah may not be topping the Billboard Hot 100 at the moment but she's still very relevant and that is what I keep saying. Yes, her album sales are down but so are everyone else's as well. Infinity did better than some of [...] latest little efforts but MC is made out to be an irrelevant has been because like everyone else in the industry she's having a hard time connecting with the few tweens that actually purchase music that is easily obtained for free. Mariah is the rare breed of talent that transcends age race and gender and she's still got a huge fan base she just has to wow us to get us motivated.

I still have a cassette copy of Daydream. I keep it because of the nostalgia. I remember loaning my mom's friend a copy of Daydream and she ruined it and I was pissed and I never forgave her because she said she left it on her roof while laying out.

Marcus (54,535) by B from USA
I agree that Mariah needs to work with new producers. I think Mariah should embrace the PBR&B (Pabst Blue Ribbon/Rhythm & Blues), Hipster R&B, and R-Neg-B movement started by artist like Frank Ocean and Miguel. I don't want her to jump on a techno beat for a cheap chart hit. I want quality music. She delivered with MIAM but I think that using a similar formula isn't going to work, it still works but it isn't working with radio and the public. Mariah isn't viewed as a has been she's viewed as someone who sticks with what works and plays it safe. If she took a few risks the media would be salivating and chomping at the bit. She had the right idea with Infinity but someone went and added in some strings to appeal to an older audience that isn't and wasn't interested in a song with lyrics about being corny like Fritos. She also needs to drop the pop culture references, those types of references were dated when she started doing them on TEOM.

Paris (54,498) by B from USA
Mariah meeting with those designers and Big Jim's tweets are exciting. I hope she's filming a video similar to the Say Somethin' video that was filmed in and around the Louis Vuitton flagship store on the Champs-Élysées.

I Still Believe (54,494) by B from USA
A fitting tribute to Starr and Ms. Monroe. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the video the first collaboration between Mariah and Brett? I Still Believe/Pure Imagination was brilliant, using that Willy Wonka sample was a stroke of genius.

While the [...] graze in a pasture somewhere I'll continue to live in the land of denial where Mariah lords over us while riding a unicorn and sprinkling us with fairy dust.

This single should have been the song of the summer of 2008. It's Mariah Carey proving she's a Pop genius. I'll never understand radios lukewarm reception to this work of brilliance. I'll never understand why Migrate, Side Effects, I'm That Chick, and For The Record weren't released as singles. I hope Reid isn't as involved as heavily as he was during the E=MC2 era, an era he ruined by choosing the wrong singles.

Mimi (54,443) by B from USA
I hope Mariah is on the cover. It is exciting. She looked flawless in that red evening gown. She needs to dress the part. She needs to hire a stylist if she doesn't have one or fire the one who styled her for the first leg of her Vegas residency. She needs to dress like she did on AI. She looked like the megastar she is during her stint in hell with Satan.

Stop trying to make yourself happen, it's not going to happen darling. Think about those poor fools that think you're funny when you write your nonsense.

I'm sorry if calling you out hurt your feelings. Your post and comments are just so bleak and it don't come off as tough love or constructive criticisms. I don't dislike you. I actually think your cute. I just wish you would post something other than negativity. We have Marcus and Andrew for that. Be the sexy smart man I know you are.

I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy.

How did I bash you? I asked that you and Baby stop bashing each other because I love you both. I've never disrespected you and never would. Was your name mention with the goats? No it was not.

Marcus and Randy (54,434) by B from USA
If I need help, so do you. You come to a message board and complain almost on a daily basis. Randy, the women you work with think Mariah's voice is shot and that she might as well loose the weight and you're always so ashamed or disappointed when MC performs. Sorry not sorry.

Mariah (54,411) by B from USA
Can we talk about how lovely Mariah has been looking lately. Yes, the lighting in that restaurant wasn't flattering but do you really think Mariah walks around with a lighting technician 24/7? She's loosing the weight. She'll be considered hot again which is insane because she's still one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Goats (54,408) by B from USA
Marcus, Andrew, Randy are goats or in denial. Baby and Mimi please stop basing each other. We are here because we love MC and we should support each other except the aforementioned goats. Andrew why should Mariah retire? She slayed vocally and her residency which you said would be an epic failure? Albums don't sell and I highly doubt Epic is expecting these rereleases to sell.

Mariah Carey deserves respect. I don't know how some of you can even call yourselves fans. It's beyond me. You make horrible remarks about her and the decisions she makes and try to say it's tough love or constructive criticism. Saying Mariah needs to work with new producers is constructive criticism. I want her to work with the producers that Miguel and Frank Ocean work with.

Epic rereleasing #1's and Merry Christmas in 2015 which is Mariah's twenty-fifth year in the industry. These albums are being rereleased to coincide with her anniversary and to keep her relevant until she releases her next album. She didn't promote MIAM because of personal and professional issues. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Mariah Carey an R&B artist? #Beautiful peaked at #15 on the Hot 100. You're Mine (Eternal) wasn't a hit but it wasn't a flop like the media and some of you seem to think. YME reached #24 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, #12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart, #41 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, #15 on the Hot R&B Songs chart and #20 on the Adult R&B Songs chart. It peaked at #26 on the Adult Contemporary chart, #36 on the Mainstream Top 40 (Pop Songs) chart, and #35 on the Rhythmic chart. Mariah Carey is still relevant. Mariah is slaying in Vegas. Her residency was extended into 2016 and she has the Beacon shows in December.

Damage control (54,337) by B from USA
These candid radio and magazine interviews and the Walmart performance are damage control. Mariah's new team is doing a wonderful job. I honestly believe Mariah's new team has the potential to help her rebrand herself and help her make another comeback. Reconnecting with DJ's is a must if she wants radio to be receptive to her again. These candid interviews are endearing. She's been through a lot during the past five years and she's a survivor. Mariah Carey will make another comeback. She has the looks, talent, and the team needed to make a comeback.

Morgan, Morgan, Morgan (54,333) by B from USA
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Morgan introduce Mariah and Ben? So, how exactly did he help her? He was a successful personal trainer living in his own place while MC was sharing a mattress on the floor with her roommates barely eating. I guess he only wants to be in her life when it's beneficial to him. After watching the video I was shocked and saddened. The man is obviously desperate for money. I love that Mariah's nephew, Alison's son that she basically raised, jumped to her defense. I think her mother and nephew are the only family members that she can trust. She considers the lambily her family and yet when she needs our support the most we're too busy infighting. Instead of infighting we should support her by doing what fans do: buy albums and singles, request songs, and stream videos.
