TMB (56,550) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Oh wow I almost forgot what a sexy song TMB is. It's like a more explicit "Honey". Where "Honey" relied on subtext and hints to deliver a sexy message, TMB is like full blown "I'mma draw you a picture about exactly what will happen between us in the boudoir". It's like an instruction booklet on foreplay hahah. I love it. I love everything about TMB. The breezy vocals, the sexy but witty lyrics, the laid back but quirky beat, the "hey ee yeah ee oh oh babyyy" and the "oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, ah ah ah". The video is one of my favorite Mariah videos. I love the sexy meets nerdy and cutesy elements. Also I love how she sings TMB here. (Wednesday 9 September 2015; 15:22)

Justin and Why You Mad? (56,549) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Justin is back with a bang and this could have helped Mariah too, or still can. I know a lot of people on this board think Justin is crap, but his recent music is really good and I think his voice goes well with Mariah. If Mariah wants Why You Mad to ever be released, now would be the time. It actually might have been better if she released it right before the release of WDYM, when Justin fans were hungry for anything Justin releases but I think now can also be a good time and she can just ride on the wave of popularity and success his new song is getting. I think Why You Mad with just MC and JB is perfect. The rappers don't add much so they could just re-do the arrangements and it would be great with a simple video. America loves a good comeback and this is sort of just that with Justin since he basically ruined his image. Say what you want, laugh at him, it's undeniable that he is a huge pop star now and if it can help Mariah then why not? I like their vocal chemistry. (Wednesday 9 September 2015; 15:11)

He has been a huge supporter ever since he joined the board. He wasn't part of the weight arguments either. Or if he was, it was only to stop those topics. As for the topics you have mentioned, yes it's true but everyone has talked about those and made thousands of "top 10" lists on this board possibly covering every aspect of her career. Music videos, songs, live performances you name it. Yes I do not support the weight criticisms but I see nothing wrong in the other things that are being discussed here. The clothes are not flattering and that definitely affects the way she appears in photos. I heard the same person who dressed her for Idol is dressing her now so I don't know why on earth he is messing up. Big time. Mariah is one of the richest entertainers out there. She can afford anything, so I don't understand her clothing choices. We definitely need Mariah to get into Balmain mode. Heck even JLo scored a photo spread with Balmain just recently (which pissed me off to no end since I have been going on and on about how Mariah should try them out for months now). Balmain somehow looks flattering on different body types because Kim K also wears a lot of Balmain and we all know she is quite curvy and has a wide frame but yet Balmain makes her appear sleek. It'll look even better on Mariah since she has the tall frame. Edgy is definitely the way to go now. We have had years of old Hollywood glamorous Mariah, switching to a more edgy glam would be nice. Plus I would love to see her back in brown hair or even black if she is up for it. Campaign for Rachel Zoe and Balmain to be introduced in Mariah's glam squad. (Friday 4 September 2015; 23:08)

Change (56,468) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Surgery or not Mariah definitely needs a change. It'll make her feel refreshed too. I say go for the edgy. I'd like her to go brunette at least temporarily. A soft brown if black is too drastic for her. Get a shorter length for the hair. Plus I still wish she'd try Balmain. She was hanging out with Balmain's designer in Paris multiple times yet I didn't see her wear any of his designs. I think Balmain balances the edgy-sexy-classy really well. Plus a lot of their designs have the boobs covered and legs out, which I think would look great on her since she has long legs. The gowns should go. They age her. She looks much younger in casual attire or shorter flowy dresses. Before anyone has a breakdown and tells me to stop telling Mariah what to do, save it, it'll fall on deaf ears. Mariah's breasts kinda make her look bigger, when she really isn't. Plus it's better health wise. And since it's a continuing story line, starting from season 2 would be confusing for you. There are like 13 episode in season 1. Won't take long. Re: Empire (56,401) (56,403) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Licia, I would strongly recommend Empire if you haven't watched it already. It's a great show with great writing. The actors perform their characters to perfection and yes Cookie is definitely everyone's favorite (including mine of course). Taraji plays the role beautifully. She is like a powerhouse character. Lee did a brilliant job with the show. That is why I was so happy to see Mariah be a part of it, although everyone already expected her to be in season 1. But Lee did pay homage to her in season 1 as well with a huge portrait of Mariah placed in the background very prominently. (Monday 31 August 2015; 16:15)

Empire (56,398) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I agree with Lee TS. Mariah is the queen of the music industry but in Empire, Taraji is the boss. She is the main character and I hope Mariah respects that. The rumor was started by Hollywood life so I really wouldn't trust it just yet. Plus Lee is always good with keeping Mariah professional in his projects. He has stated that she is always on time and is always game to try anything for him. So I hope it's the same for Empire and I really hope her role is the opposite of the glamorous diva. People need to see her acting skills if she wants to explore that region. She did really good in "Precious". But she can't always rely on Lee to cast her. I mean of course Lee will, but if she wants other directors to consider her for roles, she needs to show her acting skills and a diva role would not do much for her acting because she already plays that part in real life. I'd like Lee to do what Lee does best with Mariah, that is to bring her out of her comfort zone. (Monday 31 August 2015; 12:24)

New album / Mara (56,367) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mara, there seems to be a lot of people who have supposedly collaborated with Mariah during the recording of MIAM era and the songs never came out. We heard different song titles (which could have been rumors) but some came out of Mariah's own mouth. Then I will never stop asking where the heck is the Morales collaboration that he tweeted about during that time. Mariah is probably going to release a surprise album soon. Yes I am riling up the message board at this point haha. But I feel like she is dropping hints with the random tweets. She does have enough material if we are to take into account her statement that she has a whole album ready which she wanted to release but didn't because someone copied it before she could release it. Posts (56,360) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I wonder why Mariah is quite frequently tweeting out pictures and lyrics from her songs. Like "Heartbreaker", "Obsessed", "It's like that". She also put up the picture of the VOL single cover and asked fans to guess what single cover it was (as if there is a single lamb or even non lamb left in this world who doesn't know that iconic cover). Anyways I wonder if she is giving out some hints or what? The possibility of a surprise album gets me all giddy. She seems like she is recording behind the scenes. I remember the fans insulting the crap out of him, attacking him on all social media platforms when the roll out of MIAM got messy. He had to be Mariah's shield and take the hit while she completely stopped acknowledging the lamb riot (for those few months) and instead went ahead and tweeted about the most random things, like other artists or her necklace and what not. I think JD is one of those rare people in Mariah's life who actually cared about her personally and understood her musically. Fans keep blaming JD that he made Mariah go down the "rap sing style" but he always said that he keeps trying to make Mariah belt but she does what she wants. I hope Mariah is still in good terms with him. Abandoning him would be sad. They have known each other for over 2 decades now. JD and Mariah always had great songs. That's why she tried to distance her music from signature Mariah style. The way she was using Mariah as an "inspiration" for her first album was embarrassing because she came out as a knock off version and got blasted for that. Ariana can sing but she tries too hard and copies from so many celebs, it's like she doesn't have an identity/personality. (Wednesday 26 August 2015; 0:56)

Beautiful (56,271) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I have said in a previous post that even though Mariah always looks gorgeous, but if I had to pick an era where she looked her greatest (sexy and beautiful with a lot of elegance), it has to be the "Butterfly" era. But even I was surprised when I saw these unedited photos of Mariah from the Butterfly photo shoot. The woman basically had no flaws. I honestly had to look hard to understand what exactly they changed because they look exactly like the finished version. I still don't find much difference, but I think they fixed the hairline from the first picture and maybe added a few shades here and there. Probably went over the skin once with the airbrush tool, although it looks unnecessary as her skin looks literally perfect. Lastly they added the butterfly to the pictures. That's about it. We live in an era where celebs have to photoshop their pictures to the extreme and even the GP are so into filters to look perfect, whereas Mariah Carey in 1997 was a vision of perfection. Which in my opinion is pretty unnecessary because either ways it sells like crazy every year. Plus we have heard every possible remix of "AIWFCIY". I am sick of L.A. Reid's stupid "vision". He is turning her into a re-release machine. I can understand the #1's being re-released since the original didn't have all of the songs together and also as a tie-in with Vegas, but re-releasing "MC" is silly. They need to stop living in the past. We have already established that Mariah is a global superstar. They should work on making her career going forward. She has the potential, she has the talent. But her only fault is she trusts L.A. a little too much. L.A. will only do what's good for his company (which he is right in his way), unlike what Mariah probably believes. Triumphant the original is like "Hero" meets "Lil' Love". The "get 'em, get 'em" gets me pumping and energized. It might not have been great for a first single (of a highly anticipated album), but the song is definitely great. I can't understand the hate for it. "#JusticeForTriumphant". But I guess Mariah lives by the "wild boobies hang unbridled, or their spirit dies" motto. Personally, I think she looks much better with them boobies covered up. I mean it's fine once in a while to let them walk the red carpet or go shopping out in the open but not all the time. But then again she is Mariah (the queen) and I am me (mere peasant).
