Re: iHeartRadio performance (83,930) (83,941) by Tevin from USA They play ABMB a lot, other than and AIWFC, nothing else really. I have to listen to R&B or Urban stations to hear other songs. Surprisingly though when YME came out they played that quite a bit for a month even though it was a slow ballad and not a hit. (Sunday 23 September 2018; 00:42)

We know the parts she lipped, the parts she song with the backtrack, but she sang pretty good and live for most of the entire performance minus a few notes and climax parts. I thought GTFO was a bit of a mess, but it was her first time performing this live. But ABMB, was awesome. The crowd was feeling it. She walked a long way by herself lol, and the start talking to the crowd in the black coat reminded me of her Daydream concert. I was so proud of her. So far minus the usual small number of haters, she is getting great words and reviews from everyone. Now here comes my fan opinion. 10-10 because I can't remember a live performance yet along a short concert set in front of a live crowd where she put together a good solid performance. 8-10 for me personally, Mariah miss and lows sounded good but she has got to work on or retrain herself to be able to belt and not shout. Re: Ariana Grande - Sweetener (83,405) (83,414) by Tevin from USA Sweetener, should be called Aspartame. Sweet and light at first, but lacking major depth and substance. I love Ariana and still like it or not she is the closest thing (not close, or even on the same level) but closest thing to Mariah in the popular music business right now. My problem with Ariana is that if you listen to her 4 albums, they all sound like they were written for a different artist, sure she has a wonderful voice but other than her first album and some of bad women, there is no depth and consistency. Anyway I'm just going to sit here with my "Sweetener", and wait until Mariah brings the tea with her new album. Anybody else care to join? (Monday 20 August 2018; 18:57)

Re: New album collabs (83,269) (83,270) by Tevin from USA So it's a little off topic, but I would love to hear Mariah record the song, How Could an Angel Break My Heart, by Toni Braxton and Kenny G. She could have Toni record it again with her. That song fits in Mariah range, it's full of soul and emotions, it has that 90s sound to it, but with some updated sound it can easily sound perfect for a ballad in 2018. What do you all think? Have any of you heard that song before? Could Mariah do the song justice or should she stay clear away from that song? (Wednesday 1 August 2018; 00:47)

Re: Mariah's voice (83,054) (83,059) by Tevin from USA Thanks Manuel for your insight. I'm curious about a few things. Do you think drinking is a huge factor in her voice? I mean look at performances from 2009 vs 2010 when she was pregnant, sure it wasn't perfect, some performances dubbed but you could tell her voice sounded a heck of a lot better. Almost as you called it 90s sound but matured. Anyway I know having children affected her breathing and diaphram but to me it seemed like the lack of drinking had the biggest impact, what do you think? Also (you might want to check this out) but there is a YouTube video showing how in Mariah prime especially doing Daydream era she had breathing technique issues, also I heard that one of the reasons her voice was so light and airy in Daydream era wasn't just technique but possibly vocal decline (sounds crazy I know), due to her noduels enlarging causing airyness to her voice, then in Butterfly era they started to harden, hence the deep raspiness and tone. She had to learn at a young age how to sing through them, which is amazing in its self, because most people can barely sing with them. But sadly they came back to haunt her in 97. The performance weighin (80,176) by Tevin from USA So I will give it a 7 out of 10. She did good, redeemed herself from last year. She song 99% live if not 100. See was a bit hoarse. But given that it was -7°F and she is singing live in front of millions of people I think I will bump her up to a 8 out of 10. I will say she did look like she enjoyed herself out there. Ryan kept saying how hard it is to sing in the weather conditions. I also am happy that this is the first time in a while where it seemed like she sang Hero completely live including the climax. Overall I was happy with this performance. Next year she needs to sing some up tempo songs in LA where it's warm and I doors. My rants over. I'm going to sleep now. Night everyone. What songs should she perform? (80,088) by Tevin from USA Don't know how big Mariah's time slot will be, but if you could choose 3 songs for her to perform Sunday night what would they be? "It's like that" (she sounded good and has been singing this 95% live lately), "I'll be loving you long time/TMB" mix. ABMB, crowd favorite (maybe just the first verse, the chorus, then have crowd sing the du du du part along with her). That should end the performance. Maybe throw a verse of Migrate into the mix, because it should have been a single. Lol. Doing this performance set I believe she could sing this all live with some back tracking (because everyone does it) without having to lip syinc. (Tuesday 26 December 2017; 22:18)
