She could use her original vocals and just have other artists sing on the songs. I think it could work and make the album sell huge this holiday season. Revisiting MIAMTEC and Caution (107,197) by Randy from USA Since nothing's coming out of Capri, I thought I'd tell you guys, I'm not being a loser. Excuse me, I'm between jobs, not unemployed. I was walking to the 7-11 and I listened to MIAMTEC intently. It's growing on me. Cry and Faded are as much about Nick Cannon as Butterfly and Side Effects are about Tommy. Each song on MIAMTEC is wildly different. Dedicated, #Beautiful, [You Don't Know What To Do] all sound different. Meteorite sounds like nothing she's ever done before. I still can't believe they chose You're Mine as the single. If they had took Wale off the intro acapella, You Don't Know What To Do would've been at least as big as Obsessed, if not bigger as a first single. But overall, it's not as bad as I originally reviewed. Now, Caution. If Rainbow was made in three months and feels rushed, Caution must've been recorded during a morning shower. The first four tracks are powerful and for such a short album that means over half the album is good. I think The Distance and One Mo Gen are stupid but the album as a whole is still growing on me. I will say Mariah doesn't create bad albums, she creates bad albums when compared to her best work. If Daydream and Butterfly are the diamonds of her collection, MIAMTEC and Caution are Walmart cubic zirconia but I'd still wear them proudly. (Monday 12 August 2024; 03:39)

When you don't have a significant other to dine out or cook or shop with, it can cause a feeling of loneliness. After breaking up with Tanaka, it is probably the longest time she hasn't had a significant other in her life. We have to admit she appeared much happier when she was with Tanaka. Her interviews were good. She smiled more when out in public with Tanaka. MC just geniunely seemed to happier 2 years ago. Now she seems to be so sad and disconnected from the audience, her band, and her singers on a stage she commanded with confidence 2 years ago. I am no Dr. Phil by all means. Reminds me of years back when she started crying during a performance of Outside (I believe; she was wearing black feathers and had just had that accident on the set of the #Beautiful remix video set), or when she cried at the Christmas concert when her and Nick were breaking up. At least we know she's singing live, but it was hard watching the backup singers and band keep looping back waiting for her to jump back in. I wonder if all the focus and discussion on Celine's struggle with her voice and illness is making Mimi reflect on her own vocal aging. I cannot stand it when celebrities come out as "bisexual" or "queer" for the cool factor. It's such a slap in the face to those of us who have been openly gay or lesbian since before it was cool to identify as "LGBTQ+". My question to Morris is, why get married to a man and have a child with him if you always harbored these thoughts? I think people who harbor doubts about their sexual orientation have an obligation to tell people they are planning to marry and with whom they are planning to have children. It isn't fair to the children, and it isn't fair to the ex-spouse. And, yes, before anyone accuses me of sexism or "biphobia", I would argue the same in situations where the person in question is male or if the person in question was a gay man or lesbian woman. Christmas shows (107,177) by Joachim Agerup Løkkevik from Norway I attended the Charmbracelet tour in London in 2003 right before Halloween, and this year I'm actually planning on going back and see her Christmas shows I'm currently hospitalized for depression with previous suicidal thoughts for the second time since 2009. If it hadn't been for my mobile phone and YouTube and the existence of Mariah Carey, I wouldn't have survived. I have to thank Mariah again for saving my life, thank you Mariah. Much ado about nothing (107,173) by Edward from USA Mariah is clearly relying on lip-syncing to pre-recorded tracks quite a bit. She might sing a few words live here and there, but the lipping is at an all-time high. When you compare footage from different shows, the only thing that changes are her spoken or talk-sung parts; everything else seems to be pre-recorded. Additionally, she frequently appears a dazed, whatever medication she's on seems to be affecting her movement, speech, and even the parts she sings live. I'm not criticizing her; she needs to take her meds to manage her bipolar disorder, but it's evident that she's on some strong stuff. (Saturday 10 August 2024; 16:50)

I was just thinking a gospel or jazz would catch the world off guard. It could garner MC lots of praises for stepping into a new genre with a full album. I believe she could pull off both a gospel or jazz album effortlessly even with her current voice. Maren Morris gave me this idea. Maren said goodbye to country music, put her personal life on forefront, and released an EP this week called Intermission. Now the media is talking about her again for her personal life (she came out as being bisexual) and leaving country music to go pop. Maren gave a great ABC Nightline interview yesterday. I am on the 90s Mariah side. I miss MC singing the big ballads with brillant and vivid lyrics. TEOM onward Mariah had lyrics that really lacked substance with lots of pop culture language and hip hop street slang in most of her songs. New interview (107,149) by Jamie from UK Very cool interview, she seems really relaxed. Got my thinking when she said she's eternally 12, I still think something serious happened to her when Alison left her in that room with a guy at 12. I remember reading it in the book at the time and thinking more happened than she's letting on. Maybe that's why she says she's eternally 12, maybe she preferred life before something happened to her that scarred her for life. I got severe depression at the age of 19 from something I wasn't fully ready for at the time and I often think about and get feelings of when I was care free and not susceptible to mood changes and anxiety, and didn't have to think about how I'm feeling. She looks gorgeous although a little stiff but overall it was a good interview. The interviewer was respectful and did her research. The interviewer's energy got Mariah to relax which is nice. I think she saw us crying over her saying she will release an album "soon" lol so she said she won't use that word. She says she's working on new material but Mimi come on, by the time you will release it the "trend" will probably be backdated. Just give us what you did so far. She also said she's working on multiple projects , one of which maybe a musical. While I love that the woman's still working hard I wonder how this is impacting her focus on music. I listened to "MIAMTEC" yesterday, somehow it is my least favourite album by Mariah. Also I love "Make it look good", "The art of letting go" and "Meteorite". The girl who lipped wolf (107,099) by BFF from United States The reality is that the primary revenue stream for recording artists these days is through touring. I just watched Celine Dion's recent documentary. Celine has been through a lot with her illness and has put tons of effort into getting back to performing. Yes, Celine has been lip syncing for quite some time. But she has lip synced entire shows, and her performances are full of passion and energy. She refused to perform shows when her condition got so bad she couldn't give 100 percent effort. On the other hand, Mariah's live shows have been low energy since probably 2010. I went to "The Adventures of Mimi" and "Angels Advocate" shows in Atlanta; I definitely recall a steep decline between 2006 and 2010. Fast forward to 2024, she's barely moving and now lip syncing entire shows except for a couple of minutes. Maybe she hasn't said anything because there's no legitimate explanation?
