The queen of the diss song will bounce back (67,799)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
My heart goes out to Mariah Carey right now. When she gives her all to someone, she gives it wholeheartedly. Why does she keep getting her heart broken? I think she should stop letting men mistreat her. Put her foot down and say "I am not taking any mess from you." Like Solange told Beyonce that "She needs to speak her mind more." When all of this blows over, she is going get in the studio and let James Packer have it. I think we are in store for one of the best MC's albums since TEOM. However in the meantime, let me show why Mariah is the queen of the diss song. Ranked from #1 to 10. 1. Obsessed 2. Shake It Off 3. Clown 4. Betcha Gon' Know 5. Infinity 6. Thanx 4 Nothin 7. You've Had Your Chance 8. Up Out My Face 9. Prisoner 10. You Don't Know What To Do

2017 should be the reinvention of Mariah Carey (67,461)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
First, thank you all for the birthday wishes. Second, AndrewUK - I put on Always Be My Baby during my birthday celebration and I felt like the first time I fell in love. And you know what happened after playing JoyRide. Lol. Well during this time of celebration, I got to think about how Mariah can learn from the mistakes and missteps from her last two albums: MOIA and Me: I Am Mariah. 1. Go back to one/two word album titles. Long crazy titles cause the buying public to not take her albums seriously. 2. Refrain from being so personal with every song on the album. Give your audience an opportunity to see themselves in the song. Something in the vein of Miranda Lambert's Vice. 3. Work with new producers and writers instead of those you feel comfortable with. It's apparent that Mariah needs a new sound and direction. Jermaine Dupri and BMC won't produce any new sounds with Mariah. 4. Narrow the final tracklisting down to 10-12 songs. For example, Butterfly and Daydream. The last two albums where overshadowed by too many songs. 5. The first single should be something in the vein of Dreamlover, Honey, Fantasy, Heartbreaker, and It's Like That. Show us again why Mariah is who she is today. 6. Have videos ready to drop a week after the single drops. No more 3 week gap video premieres. 7. Record with Walter Affansieff and Babyface again. Mariah owes this to her fans. Lambily. 8. Cut back on the whistle notes in every song. This is one thing that I think stops new people from listening to Mariah. 9. Definitely cut back on the rap collaborations. One or two rap collaborations would be just fine on the album. More Mariah and less other people. 10. Give the buying public something different that will show us Mariah Carey of the 1990s again. 11. Cut back on the diva ways and antics. Give true, serious, heartfelt interviews during the album promotions. 12. Give us one male singer duet, original or remake song.

Just had to play some Mariah tonight (67,330)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I have been feeling down lately because I have a birthday coming up 10.25 and I am going to spend it alone again. I had to listen to Petals, Languishing, I Wish You Well, H.A.T.E.U., Inseparable, Heavenly, #Beautiful, Reflections and Cry. I don't know any other artist whose catalogue is so full of songs with depth and reflection. I guess one reason why I connected to Mariah is that I had a rough childhood full of rejection, abuse and being misunderstood. I have always wished to be loved and Mariah's emotional ballads always gave me hope for finding love. Thank you Mariah. I have always been a lamb. Since 1990. Lamb for life. What will she give us in 2017? I don't think I have hungered for a Mariah Carey album like her next one. I believe this album is going put her back at number #1. Wouldn't it be something if she just dropped a single without any announcement or studio pictures?

MJB and Jazmine Sullivan's Thick Of It / Bruno Mars (67,206)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Mary J. Blige's Thick Of It is so beautifully written. It is MJB's best song in a long time. Jazmine Sullivan is the most underrated female songwriter and singer in RNB. She does not get the recognition she deserves. She can take a lyric and melody have you singing it all day long. Her songs are catchy and thought provoking. I hope Mariah is listening to Thick Of It and will call Jazmine Sullivan up to collaborate. Can you imagine the masterpiece those two would make? And I agree with B. that Mariah needs to collaborate with Bruno Mars and The Smeezingtons as well as Mark Ronson, Ryan Tedder, DJ Khaled, DJ Mustard, David Guetta, and Calvin Harrris. I guess all we can do is hope and wait until 2017.

No Christmas concerts this year? / 2017 / box sets (67,020)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I find it odd that there has not been an announcement about her annual Christmas concert this year. I believe last year the concerts dates were announced last year before now. Maybe her team wants to focus on Mariah's World broadcast in December on E. I am sure Mariah will be doing an extensive promo schedule to promote the docu series in late November early December. Or Mariah and James are planning a Christmas wedding? I am just throwing out these possible scenarios. Is anybody else feeling this way? I really believe 2017 is going to be Mariah's second comeback year. 2017 would make 12 years since Mariah's first comeback. She always says she is eternally 12. Lol. I am just saying. She probably will spend most of 2017 recording her new album with L.A. Reid's guidance again. He has been quiet lately since Meghan Tranior's second album bombed on the charts. He really hasn't had a mega sales album release since he took over as President of Epic. Mariah's 2017 release maybe his last chance for a mega sales hit. I guess time will only tell what 2017 holds for Mariah and L.A. Reid. What do you think? One last thing, whenever a box set is released by Sony or Def Jam, it going to be a huge event. I sure hope we get any album leftover tracks, B-sides, live tracks, and unreleased remixes. I am anxious to hear "Reach For The Sky", "Mesmerized", the full version of "Skydiving", "When I Feel", the original version of "Dreamlover", Me I Am Mariah-The Dream track, any unreleased Ben Marguiles tracks, the live version "Endless Love" with the late Luther Vandross, the extended version of "Your Girl", and the one I would love hear right now - "Yours" duet with Justin Timberlake. Any thoughts?

The Weeknd's Starboy could be Mariah's stargirl (66,944)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
The Weeknd's Starboy is exactly the sound Mariah needs to be played on radio again. I can hear Mariah singing "I'm a stargirl". The title sums up her life and it sounds like Metorite. Can you imagine a Weeknd and Mariah collaboration? Both are very good with melody. The Weeknd emulates Mariah with his runs. He has his falsetto and she has her breathness/airy voice. What a song that would be on the radio. Radio would eat it up. I swear Starboy is playing every hour on the radio. I predict the following: 1. The Weekend collaboration- first single 2 Released December 2016 - first single 3. New album - March or April 2016 4 Only 14 songs with the following collaborations A. Walter Affansieff - 3 songs B. DJ Mustard colllabo C. Ryan Tedder collabo - 2 songs D. Noah "40" Shebib/Drake collabo E. JD/BMC/Crisytle collab - 2 songs D. Babyface collabo E. Mike Will Made It collabo F. The Weeknd/Illangelo collabo G. David Guetta collabo F. Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars collabo G. Beyonce collabo I believe she knows that with this album she has to bring it. She has to remake herself with a sound that is relevant but true to her style. She is listening to us with our requests to work with Walter A. again. She knows this is her last chance to reclaim the top of the charts.

These songs represent the real Mariah not Infamous (66,858)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|

If you believe in these songs and want a Walter Affansieff collaboration to put her back at the top of the charts, then let's tweet her today begging her to give another Walter Affansieff collaboration. These songs represent the real Mariah Carey: 1. Love Takes Time 2. And You Don't Remember 3. Can't Let Go 4. So Blessed 5. Til The End Of Time 6. The Wind 7. Dreamlover 8. Hero 9. Anytime You Need A Friend 10. Without You 11. Just To Hold You Once Again 12. All I've Ever Wanted 13. Everything Fades Away 14. Do You Think Of Me 15. Music Box 16. Underneath The Stars 17. One Sweet Day 18. I Am Free 19. When I Saw You 20. Forever 21. Looking In 22. Butterfly 23. My All 24. Fourth Of July 25. Close My Eyes 26. Whenever You Call 27. Outside 28. Lead The Way Can you imagine new album with Walter Affansieff, Ryan Tedder, Big Jim Wright, Illangelo/The Weeknd, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Drumma Boy, and Noah "40" Shebib collaborations? No more JD and BMC songs. Their sound is so outdated now. Tweet: Please Mariah, your lambily would love another Walter A. collaboration. We want we need you on top again.

Seriously Mariah, please forgive Walter Affansieff (66,764)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I just finished listening to Music Box and Daydream. Wow, what a beautiful time for Mariah when she wrote with Walter A. I really do wish Mariah would record again with him soon. She needs to take us back with her next album by collaborating with Walter A again. Those two made such beautiful music together. We should on September 30 petition Mariah to give us lambily a Mariah and Walter A. collaboration again. It would be nice if her next album had collaborations by Walter Affansieff, Ryan Tedder, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Babyface, The Weekend, Drumma Boy, Miguel, Timbaland, Maxwell, Big Jim Wright, and Daryl Simmons. Mariah needs to revisit the old Mariah on her next album. Give us the Mariah that everybody fell in love with. More Rnb and Pop ballads and less Hip Hop. More vocal moments and less rap collaborations. More emotional ballads and less Jermaine Dupri. If JD says "Y'all know what this is" one more time on a new Mariah song, I am going to tell him he needs to stop it. Lol.

Mariah's technique, control and unique phrasing (66,678)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Whenever I read an article or a fan comment or critique of Mariah's song catalogue, they always say Mariah has great technique and control and unique phrasing. I am not a singer myself, so it is difficult for me to describe her great technique and control and unique phrasing in each of her songs. I know an excellent singer when I hear one and I can point out a bad singer as well. So when I first heard her sing Vision Of Love in 1990, I knew instantly she could sing because of her vibrato and the way she executed and held her notes. I know Butterfly is such a great song because of the way she was singing it. I found it very difficult for me to sing it in the shower. Other than that I am lost in truly understanding Mariah's excellent technique and control and unique phrasing. What songs truly showcase her technique, control, and phrasing? What is her best era in showcasing her technique and control and unique phrasing? Is Mariah truly and alto or soprano? What era did she start singing with such a breathy voice? What era did she start to lose some of her voice control? What era did she start to sing with such rapid phrasing? How different would "We Belong Together" had sounded if she recorded it 1990 to 1995? Would Mariah be able to sing Butterfly today with such control? Can you all help me out with your analysis of her singing? I am curious about what you all think.

Your own private concert / new era 2016 (66,607)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
1. Whenever You Call - duet Brian McKnight 2. Faded 3. Slipping Away 4. Without You 5. H.A.T.E U. 6. Inseparable - remix with Trey Songz As far as the new era, I am excited about Infamous, duet with the Weekend, Mariah's World, and the new album (hopefully released before Thanksgiving). I love Jermaine Dupri's work with Mariah and other artists, but I hope she does not let his production overtake the feel of her next album. Only time will tell so I only hope for a cohesive body of work that will put her back at the top of the charts.

New album wishlist (66,182)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
To: RJJ12, thank you for the comment. Hello everybody, I forgot all about Ryan Tedder. I have been waiting for a Mariah and Ryan Tedder collaboration for 5 years. Can you imagine the magic that those two would make in the studio? And what about these collaborations: DJ Camper (just him and Mariah only in the studio - something like Tamar's Love And War), Linda Perry, Detail (Infinity Remix and Beyonce's Drunk In Love), Harmon Samuels and Patrick "J. Que" Smith, Kristopher Riddick Tynes/Leon Smith III, Al Sherod/ Big Sean, Ashley Gorley (popular songwriter who mixes country with a little pop - he writes for Carrie Underwood), Luke James, Elijah Blake, Elivs Blaque, Sevyn Streeter, Max Martin/Shellback, and Walter Affansieff. I just hope this new album is filled with hits that can help put her back at the top of the charts.

Mariah has a busy remainder of the year ahead (55,738)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|

This year has been amazing for Mariah. I really credit her new managers with getting her back on track. With the Israel concert to her Christmas movie/concerts to Empire, she is going to shine this fall. I really hope her Empire character stirs up trouble for Luscious and Cookie. Mariah should do an R&B duets album with Tyrese, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Babyface, Sam Smith, Lyfe Jennings, Jesse Powell, Usher, Maxwell, Sam Salter, and Miguel. I wonder what will her next album be like. She probably won't begin recording until after February of next year.

by Bobby A from United States

Back in the 1997 and 1998, I was ordering a lot of Mariah records and CD's from a vendor in New York City. I was able to get Underneath The Stars remix CD, a Honey 12 inch and CD, Mariah At Her Best Live CD, and the Looking In/Rocket Man 12inch record that I never hear anybody else mention. Does anyone else have these records and CD's?

Mariah's happiness / future box set (55,020)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
It seems that James Packer is spending time with Mariah and taking her places like she wanted Nick to do. But Nick was always working trying to get the next gig. She said in "Faded": "You are always somewhere and but not there me." James Packer does not have to work. I am sure he will be with her every night in Las Vegas. To change the subject. When are we going to get a box set from Mariah? It is long overdue. I am anxious to here [sic] songs that never made onto her albums or previously unreleased songs. I especially want to hear Reaching For The Sky, Kick Rocks, original Loverboy sample that JLo stole, production from the Runners, the Underdogs, DJ Clue, Angels Advocate songs, and Weakness Of The Body. What other songs and production do you want hear as well? Did I miss any songs? I think the box set will set sales records.

Huge radio / video / remixes promo for You Don't Know What To Do (44,489)

Lambs, Tuesday of next week, a huge radio debut of YDKWTD will take place. Let's make this song huge for Mariah next week. The video is going be something different than what we have been getting lately. The remixes are going blow up our speakers. Can someone create a YDKWTD promo banner? We can make this great song huge for Mariah and be the summer song of 2014. Let's do it starting now. Remember in 1995 when you fell in love with Fantasy and all of your friends were singing this song and bumping it in their car. Who is down with me and [...]?

Butterfly and Daydream mixed into one masterpiece (44,067)
by Bobby A from United States
| |

This is album is a masterpiece. Mariah gave us everything we have been asking for. I am speechless. It was well worth the wait. My favorite songs are Cry., Faded, Dedicated, Make It Look Good, #Beautiful, You're Mine (Eternal), and You Don't Know What To Do. I love the texture in her voice these days. I like the way she switches that texture up with every song. Let's make this album number 1 next week. She deserves to be number 1. I am very pleased with this album. I love every track. MIAM is one her best albums in her career. I will be at Target at 8am Tuesday to buy my copy.

Lambs, please stop complaining (43,357)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
We have the tracklisting. We have a confirmed release date. We have the cover art. And everyday that I come to this website, all I read is negative comments and unhappiness about every decision Mariah makes for her new album. If she wants to add "America the Beautiful' to the Japanese edition, so be it. It is her decision and probably a fantastic studio version that I can't wait to hear. We as Lambs should be making plans to buy 2 copies of her CD when it comes out. We should be supporting Mariah as an established artist with numerous awards and acolades. She is not a new artist and we need to stop treating her as such. If she never has another #1 number single or album, she is set financially for life. I have one request for all the complainers during the next 3 weeks, let talk about the positive things and accomplishments MC has done throughout her career. If we want her to feel our love for her, support and don't hate. I am sure that we will have a new single next week for her to promote on the Today show. Greg Curtis ( Keyshia Cole - I Remember) produced Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now). Betcha Gon Know with R. Kelly is a new studio version recorded in Chicago in 2012. It's A Wrap is also new and recorded recently. Does anyone know who produced One More Try? Remember support and don't hate.

Suppose the album is released on Monday (42,930)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
What if the album is released as early as Monday? Remember, I was the one that said that she was going to release the album in a different way. And I feel strongly about my next statement. Suppose the special guest star is Beyonce. We all have been hearing about a duet with Beyonce called "Further Up". It would be a great move to capitalize on sales. Even the non-Mariah fan wants to hear these two voices together. I just hope there is a deluxe edition with extra tracks or a DVD. I am looking forward to hearing the Hit-Boy, Mike Will Made It, and R. Kelly tracks. I want to see that #Beautiful remix video with Young Jezzy as well. I am going to buy two copies, one for myself and one for a co-worker. I hope every lamb pledges to do the same to make this album debut at #1. It is time to dethrone Frozen. We can do it. Mariah deserves it after all of the complaining and criticizing we have been doing in the past three years. Like I said before, this is going to be the best album of her career. She has never taken this long to release an album. I have been like addict without my new Mariah music to bump in the car. When the album is released digitally, we need to call up every Top 40-Urban-Rythmic radio station and request that they play Thirsty or other tracks. I am so excited.

Album promotion and May 6th (42,550)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Lambs, we need stop worrying about May 6th. We are going to have a new album from MC. Lambs and the world will be very pleased. I have a strong feeling that we are going to get a new single next week as well as the album title and tracklisting. Something tells me the album is going to be released on May 6th in a very different way. We may have a Target or Best Exclusive with extra tracks or a bonus DVD. Completing this album has been a journey for MC and she is going to deliver that journey to lambs in a very special way. This album will be the best album of her career. Critics and radio are going to be surprised when it comes out on May 6th. I sure hope the extra studio time will give us a Pharrell, Detail, Ryan Tedder, Pop and Oak, Jack Splash, Da Internz, and Timbaland collaboration. Surely, the past month out on the beach produced some new collaborations. The week of May 6th is going to be filled with television and radio promotions. Just wait. It is going to propel the album and single to #1. No other artist is coming out with a new album on May 6th. So, MC will have a strong chance to be #1 again. Let's support Mariah by buying an extra copy on May 6th to give to a new fan. If we want her back at #1, then let's support the album with 10 times the buying power than a normal fan. We can do it. Let's make May 6th MC Day. Can we do it. Can we make it happen for MC?

What is going on at Island Def Jam Records and radio? (41,780)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
When LA Reid left Def Jam Records, Mariah's support from the label is not what is used to be. I am really concerned that she can't get enough airplay for YME. She has never had this much trouble having a hit song to put out her album. She needs to call Elijah Blake/Sevyn Streeter/Diplo really soon to help her come up with a radio hit because YME is not it. Radio is not playing the song because is not a top 10 produced song. I would like for her to work with Ryan Tedder to come up with a pop hit that would make Top 40 radio want to play her music. I believe the two of them could up with an awesome song. I believe Mariah really needs to let five to six songwriters write with her in the next month to create that next hit. At this point, she can't do it with her and a producer alone. Pop and Oak songwriting and production duo is really hot right now as well as DJ Mustard, The Rascals (Ariana Grande), Rock City, Pharrell, and Timbaland, Salaam Remi, Harmony Samuels, Al Sherrod (Ariana Grande) and The Underdogs. Only time will tell if we see an album on May 6th. Because right now our girl Mariah is not being supported by radio. She needs a first single with a revolutionary futuristic sound in the next month. I hope someone helps her to see that. Ryan Tedder please call Mariah.
