About Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter:

Morgan (54,374) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Why are we even on this topic? No body cares. Jeez, even the internet let that story slip without making a huge deal out of it. Something that was unexpected since people jump at the chance of drowning Mariah. Morgan is done, he sold out his sister and to National Enquirer no less because all the others probably didn't buy his stupid story. The world has turned the other way on that story, why do the fans insist on bringing it up?

I think the damage control is more of the work of Stella and Co. than Epic. Stella is quick to emphasize big stories about Mariah and get rid of the bad ones before it spreads like a genius. Epic is not doing that. This is what Mariah's hero, L.A. thinks "The boss even said the veteran singer should just be glad that radio stations would even pick up her song." Setting the bar real low. I mean what the major fudge? Anyways I get pissed thinking about Reid. I agree that MC probably jumped at the chance of working with L.A. (hoping for another TEOM) without even looking elsewhere and at other options. I also agree that sometime "Infinity" does sound like it's a bad edit job. But bear in mind if Epic didn't think it would work, they wouldn't have released it. L.A. Reid is notorious for messing up single choices for Mariah since a long time now. Plus every time after a release he feels that it won't work, he looks the other way and lets it sink.

What Mariah should have said (54,363) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I don't think it would have been wise for Mariah to say "Yes" when asked if she wants to overtake The Beatles. She would come off as arrogant and full of herself and she really had no good record at that point (due to all her recent singles not making any impact) to make such a big claim. Mariah is very careful everytime people say "You have more #1's than Elvis" because when she did cross Elvis, there was a lot of backlash from Elvis fans, so every time people bring up Elvis, Mariah gets careful. The Beatles are held in a really high place in the music industry even now. For Mariah (with her recent track record and GP already thinking she's an arrogant diva) to say that yes she wishes to take The Beatles' throne would be career suicide. Confidence is one thing, but people think Mariah is arrogant, so yeah. I would have preferred her saying "All I want is to make good music that my fans would love and if it becomes a hit then it's a bonus because who doesn't want a hit?", instead of straight up saying "No".

While we can't be sure if Mariah did say those but it makes you think. She has moved away from L.A. Reid as soon as she got time off, we didn't see her wish him. She is openly giving out her schedule to fans in what seems like an attempt to inquire if they are actually getting to hear her new work by asking them personally. She probably feels betrayed by a lot of people, brother, boss, and who knows who else, so she is indulging in the company of her fans and Stella (along with children I am assuming are Stella's). I think she really had a lot of faith in "Infinity" and was taken aback when very little effort was put behind promoting it. I mean she left her last label because she thought they are not valuing her products and the same is happening here. About Don M (the X), I don't know much about him so I don't know if he is the type to hold on a grudge for over 2 decades. I think he probably moved on, I mean shit happens, it has been 20 years. I think MC's current problem is due to ageism in radio world and L.A. Reid's stupidity. Really he has no clue anymore about what to do with Mariah. I don't care who says what, that man is trying to make MC get into Granny Panty Zone. Apart from that, in Hollywood, there also always is the hidden agenda of many people who enjoy tearing down legends so the conspiracy is always there. Happened to the best of them.

Beauty school / Lee TS (54,349) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha Lee darling calm down, her make up was fine as seen in the picture here. Rousteing Mus have been out of his mind when he decided to put in a filter, which makes both of them have corpse skin and lips so chapped they look like they are painful. But the original picture posted by Mariah shows they both look alive with healthy glowing skin. Lol, I had a mini laugh attack reading your post and seeing you so frustrated.

Side performance / Giselle (54,347) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I see your point but I am actually glad that Mariah didn't perform from her Vegas show set on the BBMAs. It has been quite a long time since Mariah performed at major award functions and I wouldn't like it if she wasn't physically there. I think a footage pre-shot has lesser effect than the person actually standing there, singing while the crowd goes wild. Plus being away from performing at other major award shows has really made Mariah quite timid, as we saw at the BBMAs, so it's time she slowly but surely gains back that confidence. With her being onstage and being broadcasted live, you get what you see and that's important for MC at this point because people are still gossiping about the Rockefeller performance. So she needs to show them she can still sing and not display a pre-recorded, edited performance. MC gets nervous performing in front of other artists at these big shows, which she shouldn't because frankly she is better than all of them. So performing live in front of them is, in my opinion better for her to get her confidence back and also for her image/singing ability damage control.

Mariah's family and Sony troubles (54,344) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I was getting a feeling Mariah isn't happy at Sony. I can't blame her because Sony did a bad job with "Infinity". Most of the good press Mariah got was for Stella. I checked out this article on DM (although they suck as a news outlet) but something I saw was in the comments section. A conversation between 2 commenters "JMixson" and "PhilipBeaupre". A summary of it is while interacting with fans in Paris Mariah apparently looked sad when cameras were not on her, she asked people if they heard "Infinity" because Sony won't promote it. She also said her family and Sony is trying to sabotage her. I think L.A.'s comments hurt her as much as it pissed us off. I don't know how true the conversation (whether fans made it up) but Mariah does get into long conversations with her fans sometimes, like the one of the guy running with her car and she stopped every now and then and talked to him. My heart goes out to MC. She clearly wants a hit because even recently she said she wants all her songs to go to #1, but is not being able to get it. I know many people think "Infinity" is not a strong single but really how many of the songs that are in the top 10 really that strong? "Bad Blood" went to #1, and even MC's weakest songs are better than a song about a pseudo high school argument Taylor Swift seems to have conjured in her head. Another thing I noticed was Mariah wished Azzedine Alai on his birthday with a photo of her and him but she didn't wish L.A. Reid. I learned it was L.A. Reid's birthday when Avril Lavigne wished him. So that further deepens my suspicions, because Mariah always praises L.A.

Style-Riah (54,329) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Oh wow, Mariah's style is on fire in Paris. Her figure is perfect. Plus check out those fierce shoes. How she wears these and walks around at Disneyland is beyond me. But she looks so beautiful. I love her more casual looks. Shows she can look good in anything. I have been wanting her to wear more t-shirt/shirt and pant combos. Plus she'd look gorgeous in pant-suits. She has figure for it and legs for days.

Tiina (54,318) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I am glad you got my point. I really like your posts and you come off as a really nice person. But after hearing about your struggles, I admire you even more now since you have rightfully chosen not to be a victim but to take control. People who look down upon mental illness and judge people suffering from them have corrupted minds. No attention should be given their way. Anyways, thanks for sharing your story, sending love and good wishes your way.

Tiina (54,316) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
My post on the stigmatization of mental illness was not directed at you. Just wanted to clarify. I read your posts after I posted mine. I was referring to some post before yours which seemed like they thought that the people defending Mariah are in a way shaming mental illness. I read your post about your struggles, and bravo to you, you sound like a strong person. And I admire how you are keeping an open mind and defending Mariah.

Mental illness (54,315) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
No one is shaming mental illness. It's a truth that exists and is curable or at least can be controlled. Yes, it should not be shamed, but at the same time calling a person bipolar, when there is no proof is also not right. What's even worse is calling her a bipolar and alcoholic/drug abuser. This implies taking bipolar meds and drinking/abusing drugs simultaneously, which is bad and puts not only her life at risk but also her children's. Morgan's statement was not only intended to hurt Mariah but also give a leeway for anyway to dub her as an unfit mother and I call bullshit on that. She seems to be a great mother. Let's not get things twisted. I am all for not stigmatizing mental illness, but this isn't what's going on here. This is about money, this is about defamation, this is about throwing Mariah off when she is trying to regain her control. Morgan Carey tried and failed to tear down Mariah. No one in the media really picked up this gossip and it is now almost gone from the internet, but shockingly her fans are the only ones blowing it up and giving it screen time.

Paris (54,314) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I can't at the lamb singing away while MC is signing. Someone get him into Mariah's camp. Haha he keeps singing throughout the video. So cute.

B (54,313) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Morgan did say those, there was a video of him giving the interview. So there is no doubt he said those. Question remains, why he chose this time. But oh well nobody cares about him. If he thinks Mariah owes him anything anymore, he is fooling himself.

Otti (54,312) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Thank you Otti. You are right, and I would have cracked if I was in her place. Instances like these show how strong and independent Mariah really is. She is truly an inspiration, a great role model.

Paris chic (54,290) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah is in Paris, looking hot tamale. Very TEOM meets Obsessed look going on. Her figure is on point, them boobies are covered up, the billion dollar legs are out in the open, perfection. She is wearing a pair of gorgeous heels, a tight black mini dress, with a hat casually thrown in. This woman, true legend, true diva, massive babe. This woman is my inspiration, smiling away at the haters. Mariah, you keep on shining girl. In case you all are interested, here is a video. Let's move past the negativity and stand by the woman who has connected us all together from different parts of the world.

Bill (54,273) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Thank you Bill. I was just so frustrated when writing that message, that I didn't even focus on how I composed it. I was just writing what I was feeling. So that's why the post is a little all over the place. But really my heart goes out to Mariah. The woman is still out there, putting a smile on her face, singing to one audience after another, putting up a show of strength, when only the Lord knows how painful it must be to have your own brother defame you. To top that off, reading this board and some others where people are believing this bull crap and saying "oh yes I could tell, this explains why she can't sing, she should sober up for the kids" made me really mad. I never met Mariah but I love her and this woman basically saved thousand if not millions of lives by singing "Hero" and "Outside" to their souls. Healing them, making them let go of suicidal thoughts, telling them it will be fine. Now when some douche who could only get NE to voice his "concern" is vomiting crap, everyone is suddenly thinking it's all true. I pray and send my love to Mariah, (no, not so that she "gets better") but to give her the strength to overcome from the shock of again having one of her loved ones turn on her. I guess now I know why she has trust issues and stays so private. Everyone has a price, Morgan seems to have gotten his desired amount to push his sister off the cliff.

Seriously guys, are you all for real? (54,266) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It just took one interview of Morgan to NE (the most credible outlet in the world) for you all to jump in the boat and call MC a drunken, drugged up bipolar person? I feel so bad that this is all it takes for her fans to turn on her. Even leaving notes like "I hope Mariah gets better" is bad because that means you all are believing this bullshit. This woman has been in the public eye for years even post 2001. How do you think she managed to be on TV weeks after week, perform in Vegas thrice a week, go on one promo tour after another and still be the person Morgan is describing her to be? Morgan is the new LaToya Jackson. Remember when she called out Michael to be a pedophile openly and then later she said that she did that because of her husband? What saddens me more is that some people on this board, who I thought actually had the brains to separate bullshit from truth, are also on the Morgan bandwagon now. It's one thing to criticize her craft/professionalism but to basically call her a mentally unstable drunken person is crazy. Have you not seen her with her kids? Have you not seen her hold those intimate concerts during CB era? The huge promos during TEOM. You think by now someone or the other wouldn't have leaked her "dark secret behind the scenes" if all these were true? Whitney couldn't keep her drug problems out of the media. Mariah is more exposed than Whitney, how do you think she managed all this? Let's even take recent examples, have you not seen her promoting Infinity and Vegas? Did she look drugged up? How many times have you woken up to read the headline "Mariah Carey, stumbling drunk out of a nightclub at 3 am?" I am guessing never. How about articles about her shaving her head or going off on the paparazzi? Never. How do you think a person can be so calm and composed when she is drinking 24/7? Seriously you guys, this is a new low. Someone said Morgan knows Mariah, we don't. Morgan hasn't seen Mariah in years. He probably knows as much about Mariah now as we do. With the exception of the much understandable 2014 drinking episode, I am not buying bullshit about MC being a drunken mess and bipolar patient. I wouldn't blame Mariah if she reads all the stuff her fans are saying and says: Screw it all, I'm going away. And never bother looking back. The woman gives and we sit here and call her crazy and drunk.

Stay Triumphant, keep on living (54,182) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I was watching the video of "Triumphant" again and I still fail to understand why people don't like it. Anyways I love how at the 2:59 mark Mariah swings from the ring ropes screaming, so cute. The video was amazing. I loved the whole Hollywood meets mobster glamor. The Don and the diva. The gold accents everywhere. Mariah looked gorgeous, Rick Ross has layers of clothes on his body (which is unusual). I absolutely love the entrance with Meek in the middle and Mariah encouraging him while walking him to the ring. The ending chorus with the ad-libs and whistle was gorgeous. I love how MC breaks into a loud whistle whenever it seems like her emotions are overflowing and words are just not enough. I don't know if that happens organically or she decides in advance but it just seems so natural. I am not talking about all case but some, like DFAU, BOTH, Triumphant to name a few. I am dedicating this song to Mariah now. Get 'em. Stay triumphant. Be all that you are and make 'em all fall down. Get up now.

If you run you mouth in an interview, I will hunt you down (54,168) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Yes, I intentionally changed the lyrics. Anyways I really feel bad for Mariah. 3-4 blasts in less than 2 weeks. It's gotta take a toll. Surprised Allison hasn't popped up yet. If Morgan did say those things, or even half of it, Mariah should really hunt him down. I don't care what he thought, but to publicly call out your sister on what I believe are false accusations and making morbid predictions about her death is beyond wrong. She has kids now, I don't believe she'd jeopardize her life and not care about her kids. Plus in the interviews she did a while back, both print and Vegas arrival ones, she sounded positive about future and she sounded like she is in a good place. Morgan dahlin' your story is a year late, bye Felicia. Ain't no being friends.

Buzzfeed (54,126) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
On a lighter note, here is Mariah's interview with Buzzfeed. I didn't finish reading it yet, but heard that she mentions she will only work as an executive producer for the Christmas movie and not star in it and also she talks about Bianca and her possible return.

Problem (54,125) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
The main problem is not whether the story is true or not. I think fans know that while MC does indulge in Champagne and all, she isn't a raging alcoholic or drowning herself in drugs. The main problem is this article is now out in the internet world, where it will stay permanently. The GP and media won't care if the article is true or if Morgan said those. They'll have a field day ripping Mariah apart. Wendy, TMZ. It's on Daily Mail, it'll be all over. All the image cleansing will now go down the drain because everyone will be like wow Carey's own brother is concerned. I agree with the person who said Mariah needs to sit down with Oprah or Diane Sawyer and go for an in-depth serious interview. No diva-ness, no dahlin' no splashes, no cleavage baring outfit. I'm not telling her to abandon it forever, I just want her to do that for the serious interview. It needs to be done. No more second hand image overhaul through publicists/management, now it's time for her to come forward and tell the world what she is about.

Morgan have you lost it? (54,107) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Oh my gosh that article is brutal. What on earth is going on? I do not believe for a second the things he said about her drinking while nursing and also right after giving birth. The few moments we saw her with her kids, she seems like a great mother. While she had a little depression drinking moment last year, she is clearly in a better place for a long time now. Her alcohol episodes last year is quite understandable now since the woman was going through both personal and professional tsunami. I seriously hope this article is fake and Team Mariah takes it down immediately. People will run with it even if they don't believe it.

this_is_qhm (54,103) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Oh my gosh you didn't just diss "Triumphant" and "My Love". How dare you?. *shakes qhm* Haha kidding but seriously I love these 2 songs. I get why people probably don't like them, but I am so glad they exist. Also hey you can't really hate on "My Love" because technically its The-Dream's song and Mariah is just a featured artist. As for Triumphant, I have always loved that song. I think what went wrong with it was the timing. The song is great and the video is gorgeous, but it wasn't right as the lead single. I mean at that time people waited almost 3 years to get a proper studio album from Mariah, so when she released a song that made her sound like a featured artist on her own track, there was backlash. So yes, not right as a lead single but I love the song. Love the video even more. I also don't mind IWKWLI, especially the ending where it soars, however the other two songs you mentioned are songs I don't like as well. I mean I would be fine if they didn't exist.
