Subtle Invitation (48,028) by B from USA
Mariah wrote that song about Derek Jeter. It's filled with references to the other songs she's written about him. Mariah needs a man like Jeter in her life, not a boy like Nick. Mariah is still the best and she's better off without Nick. He just can't keep his mouth shut. I think his loose lips are to blame for the demise of their marriage. He's so insecure because he has no real talent. He makes controversial comments to remain in the news.

Atlantic residency (48,020) by B from USA
Mariah's album sold over 100,000 copies with no promo and its lead single was a hit. #Beautiful went Platinum. Mariah is still relevant. I think a residency would do more harm than good. It would make her look like a woman who is irrelevant and she's not. She needs to hire the trainer that whipped her into shape during the E=MC2 era and release a new album that features a couple Urban EDM songs as singles. Mariah needs to release an album like Emotions using the producers of the moment for the club bangers and Happy Perez, Miguel, Bruno Mars, and The Smeezingtons for the ballads and midtempos. JD and Cox are past their prime and I get that they created some iconic songs together but she needs to move on or she'll become irrelevant.

The 9 biggest divas in the history of forever (48,017) by B from USA
E. Online's list is a joke. Beyonce isn't a bigger diva than Mariah. A diva is a phenomenal singer. Bey can sing but Mariah can sang. Mariah deserved the #1 spot on that list. What a travesty.

Mariah's last two albums (48,013) by B from USA
Memoirs was repetitive. Each song sounds alike, with the exceptions of Languishing and Obsessed. Mariah deciding to work exclusively with The Dream and Tricky is why. Me. I Am Mariah. . . The Elusive Chanteuse is a return to form for Mariah. It's Mariah doing what she does best. MIAMTEC was praised by critics. It got some of the best reviews of her career. Mariah doesn't need to make any drastic changes to her music or sound. She just needs to work with Calvin Harris or Bruno Mars for her next lead single and she'll score that elusive #1. Radio DJ's are pissed that Mariah has more #1's than Elvis and they don't want to see her top The Beatles. Sad but true. I've been told I'm a walking Mariah Carey encyclopedia, lol. Mariah's legacy is intact. Even if she never sings another note she'll go down in history as The Voice. I hope that during her lifetime she gets acknowledged for her songwriting talent. She's the lyricists of our generation. Say what you want but Mariah has the best voice, even in it's current condition, in history of modern music. Her only competition was Whitney and she didn't have half of Mariah's range.

Abraham (47,973) by B from USA
I have to disagree with you. You're Mine (Eternal) is one of my favorite songs on MIAMTEC. It doesn't sound like We Belong Together or Don't Forget About Us. It was produced by Rodney Darkchild Jerkins. The lyrics are romantic poetry and the beat is "ratchet" which is current. If she had worked with JD and Cox on You're Mine (Eternal) then it would sound like a rehash of We Belong Together. Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse is one of Mariah's best albums. I also love Money featuring Fabulous. The Mike Will Made It beat and Mariah's silly catchy chorus(hook) is an earworm. The only songs that I dislike (skip) are One More Try and Heavenly (No Ways Tired/Can't Give Up Now). However, I do enjoy Mariah's vocals on Heavenly. With only one album going platinum this year, Mariah selling over a 100,000 copies with no promotion isn't and shouldn't be considered a flop. I hope she re releases MIAMTEC with new song and a DVD with clips from her tour like she did for the rerelease of The Emancipation of Mimi. Or she releases a new album to mark her twenty-five years in the industry. She's an Icon and she's still a force to be reckoned with. Next year marks my twentieth year as a Lamb.

EDM (47,937) by B from USA
Mariah has always followed the latest trends. If she wants to score that elusive 19th #1, she needs to embrace EDM. Rhianna's We Found Love is R&B EDM (Urban EDM). I think Mariah should co write and co produce her next single with Clavin Harris. Her work with DJ/Producer David Morales resulted in some of the most iconic and critically acclaimed dance remixes (songs) of the 90's. She needs to cut ties with JD and Brian Michael Cox, their sound is stuck in 2005. I'm afraid if Mariah doesn't work with new collaborators she'll become irrelevant. Madonna has always followed trends and it always works because she doesn't try to be someone else (most of the time, anyways). As long as Mariah is involved in the writing and producing she'll make the transition successfully. What do you guys think? I'm not saying I want Mariah to make an EDM album, I just think she should make a couple Urban EDM songs for her next album. She should also stick to the retro soul, Motown throwback feel of her latest album. Mariah, like Bruno Mars, can make throwback music that sounds current and timeless. Happy Perez, Calvin Harris, Bruno Mars and The Smeezingtons are the songwriters and producers Mariah should collaborate with on her next album. Fingers crossed.

Nick (47,922) by B from USA
I believe the theories that Nick and his camp are spreading these rumors. Mariah wouldn't comment on Kim's Paper Moon photos, because she's friends with Kanye and that's not in her bag. Nick used her. He used every woman he's ever been with, leaving them for someone with more fame. Mariah will be around long after Nick fades into obscurity. I love Slipping Away. Mariah obviously wanted the song to be heard. Why else would she release it as the the b side to her Always Be My Baby single. Her singles sold like hotcakes at that time. I think Tommy was the reason the song didn't make the track listing. He was most likely fearing the public would read between the lines and realize there was trouble in paradise. If Mariah still doesn't want to jump on the EDM bandwagon then she should just keep making the retro soul, Motown throwback kind of music she's been making. A new collaborator she should and could work with is Bruno and his production and songwriting team. Another idea, Mark Rosen the mastermind behind Amy Winehouse's album that featured Rehab.

MIAM (47,854) by B from USA
Mariah's is sounding better than ever, lately. She sounds like she did during the final stops on The Charmbracelet World Tour. I honestly think that first night was just nerves. Mariah has always had stage freight. When she started this tour her confidence was shaken by Nick's betrayal. Slowly but surely she's regained her confidence. She's slaying. I really hope she releases a new album next year. I've been listening to MIAMTEC, everyday while tanning and it's like a mature version of The Emancipation of Mimi. It's a great album. She didn't promote this masterpiece because she was heartbroken and devastated that her marriage was over. Mariah is the product of divorce and she's probably worried about the effect her divorce from Nick will have on their children. Give her a break. A part of me hopes she becomes more private like she was before Nick. I think she should keep all questions during interviews about her music and refuse to discuss het private life like she used to. Not that we know everything about her now she still has an air of mystery around her.

Mariah (47,842) by B from USA
Mariah is touring to strengthen her voice and is obviously working out. Why else would she do these things besides to look and sound good. She's reconnecting with her fan base and gearing up to release a new album or rerelease MIAMTEC. She's still a force to be reckoned with. Only Taylor Swift has went platinum this year. MIAM sold 100,000 with no promo. #Beautiful has sold more copies than any album released this year. The ARIA needs to change their methods for awarding gold, platinum, and multiplatinum certifications because selling 100,000 nowadays is the same thing as going gold, especially when the best selling album of the year barely sold two million copies/units. Mariah did only one interview and concert on The Today Show and during her interview she basically said she was having problems with Nick. That interview and the lyrics to songs like Thirsty and Camouflage made it clear Mariah was about to divorce Nick.

Was it necessary for you to attack him? Asking for sources, when his post is what he thinks is going to happen? Have you not been watching the videos that lambs are posting of Mariah singing live and slaying? I think the same thing. She's strengthening her voice, exercising her voice and body, getting in fighting shape and she'll be ready to promote her next record like her life depends on it. She's done it before and to think she can't do it again is ignorant.

Marcel (47,792) by B from USA
The truth of the matter is Mariah wanted to take her music in a different direction, one Walter was uncomfortable with. I've read all the interviews and I came by my conclusion by taking what they both said and leaving the rest out like the Cole rumors. It's not a rumor that Walter was loyal to Tommy. Mariah didn't and doesn't need Walter or Tommy. Do your homework before you say we don't know what we're talking about.

Creative differences (47,772) by B from USA
Mariah and Walter had a failing out during the making of Butterfly. Mariah wanted her songs, especially the ballads, to be less over produced. She wanted her music to sound more Urban/R&B and she wanted to work with R&B and Hip-hop producers and artist which she did. Walter disliked the musical direction Mariah was taking and probably told Tommy. He most likely complained that she was deviating from the formula and that she was going to alienate her fan base. Tommy then voiced these concerns and when he did Mariah knew that Walter was behind his concerns, since Mariah had banned Tommy from the studio. Walter spoke about these issues when asked what ended his working relationship with Mariah. Mariah proved she knew what she was doing and Walter was wrong. She created the musical masterpiece that is Butterfly and continued to incorporate her love for Hip-hop and R&B into her music giving her longevity and garnering her Grammy Awards for R&B Album of the Year, R&B Song of the Year and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Walter's career stalled just like Celine and the other artist who shunned Hip-hop and R&B?

I remember that interview with Tabitha. She was so rude to Mariah. The rumors about Mariah disliking an artist Walter was working with was all a part of Tommy's smear campaign. They fell out because of creative differences and his continued loyalty to Tommy. He should have stayed loyal to Mariah since she decided she wanted to work exclusively with him after the Ben debacle. She's done just fine without him. Her music became less schmaltz after ending their professional relationship. He made comments that she was trying to be Mary J. Blidge which was and is untrue. She just wanted to make R&B music and incorporate Hip-hop into her music which she started doing the Daydream era. Which in my opinion made her even more popular and added depth to her music.

Walter (47,740) by B from USA
Mariah only needs collaborators because she can't write music. Walter himself said she would sing the cords and melodies to him and he would play them and it was a back and forth thing. He was awarded his Grammy's because Tommy used all of his clout to reward him for ending his professional relationship with Mariah. During her time working with Walter, she wrote all of the lyrics to her songs by herself. She's right she shouldn't have had to give away 50% of the royalties to him because he wrote the music, melody, and cords she sang to him. Tommy's actions allowed Mariah to leave Sony even though she still owed them one more album.

Tommy and his henchmen (47,739) by B from USA
Vanity Fair did an expose on Tommy that depicted him as a ruthless thug that used his mafia connections to take control of Columbia and Sony. The writer of the article described Mariah as a prisoner in their Bedford mansion which Mariah, herself, has described as Sing, Sing. Sing, Sing is a nod to the infamous prison and because that's all she was allowed to do there. His smear campaign against Mariah included using his mafia connections and Payola to keep DJ's from playing her music, spreading false and negative information to the tabloids, and having Murder Inc. create two songs for JLo. It was basically one song and its remix. The original version of I'm Real used the same Firecracker loop (sample) that Mariah used for the original version of Loverboy and the remix was a ripoff of If We which was a duet between Mariah and Ja Rule. This was confirmed by Irv Gotti himself.

Had Mariah performed Make It Look Good, one of my favorites from Me. I am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse. This song proves Mariah Carey could own the Adult Contemporary and Pop charts and radio if she wanted to. She obviously doesn't which is a shame. If she did she'd most likely score her #19th #1. Just saying.

I really hope Mariah and her team decide to add a USA leg to the tour. I have never seen her live and I'm a hardcore Lamb. I own every album. I have like six copies of Daydream, most of them no longer work because they been played to death, lol.

The Elusive Chanteuse tour (47,635) by B from USA
Mariah is slaying with her vocals on this tour. I think this was a smart decision. She's reconnecting with her fans and cementing her status as the premiere female vocalist of our time. I knew she was sick during the first stop on the tour and it's sad that the media and fans alike hastily jumped on the Mariah can't sing no more, she's lost her voice bandwagon. Mariah is like a Phoenix always rising from the ashes. Why people, especially her fans, continue to doubt her or question her talent is beyond me. Mariah is on fire. I can't stop watching the videos you guys keep posting. Thanks so much for sharing. I appreciate you.

Mariah (47,625) by B from USA
Mariah's live performances keep getting better which makes me think she had a head cold or sinus infection during that first show. That live rendition of Lullaby Of Birdland was astonishing. She's still got her voice and I couldn't be happier.

Music videos (47,613) by B from USA
Mariah's last great video was Touch My Body. She needs to work with directors who know and understand her like Brett Ratner and Paul Hunter. Or fashion photographers, Herb did My All and David LaChapelle did Loverboy. She needs to hire a stylist. She looked amazing during her stint on Idol and during The Emancipation of Mimi era when Andre Leon Talley was dressing her. She can still be sexy, she just needs to be classy, timeless, and sexy at the same time. What do you guys think? I still love her but her ensembles since AI have been a hot mess, especially during this tour.

Christmas time (47,601) by B from USA
I love Christmas time because it gives me an excuse to listen to Merry Christmas for a couple of months, not that I need one. I prefer to pretend the follow up never happened.
