About Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter:

BBMAs (53,395) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Although it has probably already been decided that she'll sing "Emotions" and I am fine with that, but I think it would be awesome if she sang "Someday" instead. It goes with the theme of "Infinity". Plus that note at the end always gives me life. I would also love her doing the whistles over the ending chorus of "Heartbreaker" like the album version of "Heatbreaker". I absolutely love the ending chorus of "Heartbreaker". But that's asking for too much haha, so ya anyways, "Someday" and "Infinity" would have been perfect. Her introduction could be - Mariah: best selling female artist, more #1's than any solo artist and dissing ex-lovers since 1990s all the way to infinity. Haha.

Celebs in Vegas (53,391) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
With so many celebs already flooding Vegas I hope some of them take the time out to see Mariah's show. Taylor is already there and so many will be going there for tomorrow's event. Make my wish come true.

Show MC some love (53,389) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So there is yet another of those voting things going on. It's pretty pointless but I like voting for MC any chance I get. Plus looks like people want to see Mariah in Vegas more Britney, JLo and Cher. While Shania and Celine have more votes. So you give some love to MC. Link is here.

Ok what the heck? (53,374) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Someone please tell me this isn't true. I just checked out the wikipedia page for BBMAs 2015 (yes I am aware that anyone can change anything on it) but it has Mariah and Ariana's name in the same box with the songs "Infinity and Emotions" written beside them. Here is the link. Go to the table listing the performers. Look I'm all for people giving tributes to Mariah but they should be people who are "inspired" by her not try to straight up steal her sound and then not even cite her name when asked about her inspirations. Plus most importantly, I want this to be all Mariah. I hope this is some one joking around with the page.

Nick (53,373) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
How about you shut up and stop talking about her in every darn interview and chance you get, then you won't have to do interviews to say that you are not doing these for attention. Also take note from Mariah, she gets asked about you too, but I don't see her even getting into that topic, she'll just skate over it and it's done. Your big mouth is what made the marriage rocky in the first place. So just find someone else to talk about. How about Amber Rose? Or why not Kim Kardashian again?

BBMAs (53,372) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I hope MC goes for a killer outfit. She is in good shape and I hope she wears something that compliments her shape. Please let it be some sexy color like a red, plum, purple, gorgeous green (I haven't seen her wear a bright dark green gown in forever) or even a bight royal blue or go for the glamorous golds/champagnes or silvers. No blacks please, she wears way to many blacks and it is too safe, but I guess if she still wears one I will survive as long as it is glamorous. She is a legend and she should look every bit of a legend when she stands on that carpet. I think she will be the biggest star in the entire audience.

Tourbook (53,371) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
That tourbook is so gorgeous, I can't even deal with it. All new (and oh-so-beautiful) pictures except for one picture from the Chanteuse tour book. Mariah you sneaky little sex bomb, when did you have this photo shoot?

Infinity remix (53,365) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Is it true that Mariah will perform a remix of "Infinity" on the BBMAs? Someone kill me right now. Even if she doesn't I am still super excited about the BBMAs. I will be yelling at everyone to give a standing ovation and maybe a slight bow? Too much? Ok standing ovation it is.

Ellen (53,361) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Mariah is going to make a surprise appearance on Ellen this Monday. Can we just declare next week Mariah week already? I mean starting from Sunday, she has the BB performance and hopefully will be adding more awards to her collection. Monday, the surprise Ellen appearance and Jimmy Kimmel, it is also the release date of the album. Friday she's be on Kelly and Michael and I have a feeling she'll also release the video this week. Not to mention she has 3 scheduled Vegas shows. I hope she gets enough rest, it'll be a tough week for Mimi. But all the exposure is really good for her. Sending love and positivity her way.

Jono (53,359) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Haha I laughed out so hard at "they better be forced to perform". So far I can see that Mariah is in the front row along with Britney and Nicki (I think). They moved Nick Jonas somewhere else. I, however, am still not liking it that the Kardashians are right behind Mariah. I mean what contribution to the music industry do they even have? Why are they even invited to these. And even if they are, you better go sit at the back. 1D, who are labelled one of the biggest bands in the world (I don't know how true that is but I keep hearing it and they are pretty good) are seated behind the Kardashians, like what the heck. I wonder where Beyonce will be seated. Oh as for Nicki, I think Mariah will be fine, she has history of handling these situations well. Remember when she ran into Thalia and Tommy at an event during TEOM? She was being civil with them but from the pictures it is so obvious that she is looking down on them, from the body language. I hope MC and Britney hits it off at Vegas. Britney doesn't have singing talent, but I like her, she's a good performer.

WBT (53,358) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Found this article in Vogue. Everyone involved in the making of WBT (Carey, Reid, Dupri, Austin, Ratner) weigh in on WBT being such a great song, a great video and how it was the beginning of a new chapter in Mariah's career. Ever since it was released, I have been hearing about how it was the last song to be written and recorded and to this day it feels so unreal that this song almost didn't make it into the album. I love almost all the songs on TEOM, but WBT will always be my favorite for various reasons. The song has a special place in my heart. It has a lot of memories attached to it. I can't believe it's over a decade old. Anyways they also talk about Infinity in it. I wonder what MC is doing to celebrate her 25 years milestone. She should celebrate it, she deserves it.

Jono / seating (53,351) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Well I heard they changed the seating and now Mariah and Nicki will probably be on the same row. Plus now Britney is on Mariah's right. While I think Nicki will be on her left. Haha someone is having a blast with the seating arrangements. It might very well just be that MC and Nicki are no longer feuding. I am sure their team would interfere if they had problems. What's worse though is that the Kardashians are right behind Mariah. What the heck? They deserve to be way back. I demand that they switch places with 1D.

25th Year festivities (53,348) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I better see some of those people citing Mariah as the reason they started singing to wish her on her achieving 25 years milestone. I also agree with Baby about Billboard giving Mariah a new award.

Wendy's influence over the "lambs" (53,347) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
So I see a lot of people saw the new episode of Wendy's show and now they are flooding Mariah and her team's pages with ideas that Wendy put in their head. Real stupid. Wendy suggested that Mariah should have lip-synced instead of cancelled. Ya right. The moment she would to that, Wendy would be the first to jump on the "oh Mariah is at it (lip-synching) again, the voice is no longer there" bandwagon. Plus the fans now demanding that she lip-sync would be the same ones to go on and write about how they didn't pay so much money to hear her lip-sync. Really anything Mariah would do would backfire. The great Wendy also suggested Mariah to host a meet and greet, as if that's the best thing to do while she is on vocal rest. Wendy stop trying to give out advice like you know everything. This woman thinks she's the best adviser in the world. She suggested Britney should come out in a wheelchair and perform when she hurt her ankle. I get that fans may be upset to have their plans spoiled but really some situations are hard to control. On another note, I was a little surprised to hear Wendy call herself a lamb multiple times today. She always maintained she is a fan not a lamb, but today she called herself a lamb many times. Also no so unexpectedly, Norman the fake lamb was making fun of Mariah.

25 years of Mariah (53,338) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
It's already the 15th here, so I just want to say, happy 25th anniversary of your career Mimi. "Thank God I Found You" and your music, you have struggled and you made it and no matter how much people shade you and "H.A.T.E.U", you are a living legend and they "Can't Take That Away". Your voice is a sweet sweet "Fantasy" of thousands of wannabes around the world and dahlin' you are a "Vision of Love". "I Still Believe" in you and always will. I know you will rise again "Against All Odds". You are my "Hero" and "Someday" I will be able to tell that to you in person. Mariah, "Honey" you are "Beautiful" inside and out. The music industry would be nothing "Without You". I love you with "My All" and you will "Always Be My Baby". Mariah Carey, you will stay "Triumphant" from now to "infinity".

The BBMA seating (53,335) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
They must have some humor, because Nicki Minaj has been seated right behind Mariah. Like the very seat behind Mariah. I'd like to see how that plays out. I mean I don't really want them fighting, but if the AI feud was still on, someone or the other will roll eyes or change seats. Anyways so the Kardashians are right next to Nicki, while Nick Jonas is beside MC. You can see it here.

Deedre (53,321) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I respect your opinions too and I like your posts. I must not have been clear in my last post, I have absolutely no problem with the song. In fact I really like it and I love the humor in her lyrics. Do I think the production was rushed? Yes. But I still love the song. I have said this many times, content-wise Mariah hardly disappoints. I don't care if people think it's a dig at Nick. Mariah has many diss records. Anyways, basically I love the song. That's not the problem, the problem is with it not even getting to chart properly. One week on the charts? Is that what it has come to? Mariah's career won't end until she decides to stop making music, but one flop single after another will somehow create deep and maybe even permanent dents in her track record. I probably sound like I am pushing Mariah or whatever, but it's only because I know she still has it in her to get as many hits as she wants. I thought this song would chart much higher because of the summery vibe to it and the light and fun, even youthful lyrics to it. That's my complaint. That she keeps making good songs and they keep vanishing like they don't exist. I hope it's clearer now. Anyways I won't lie, yes I want chart success. This is Mariah, she deserves to be at the top. I am sick of people writing her off as a ditzy diva.

Raphael (53,314) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
My apologies then. I don't really follow Beyonce's career or any other artist's for that matter, the way I follow Mariah and Michael. So ya I could be wrong. I could have sworn though that I thought Sasha Fierce didn't do welll, but I guess I mixed it up.

Marcus / Jono (53,313) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Marcus, haha sorry I was trying out my mind reading device. Or you could say I pulled a Beyonce/JLo and stole your idea. Jono, although my post is just my theory, I think it actually is quite possibly what went down. Why JLo never even came to my mind was because that thing happened years ago, that story has been repeated way too many times. The 3 key words "title, concept and visuals" immediately made me think of only Beyonce. To think that this copied idea got Beyonce to where she is today makes me mad. Before that album, Beyonce was serving one flop/moderate song after another. Even "Run the world" which she tried turning into an anthem didn't crack top 20. So her surprise album got crazy sales thanks to it being a surprise because most of the songs in it are crap. Beyonce is known for "borrowing". Now I can't help but wonder how amazing it would have been if Mariah got to carry on with her plan. She can actually write a whole story through an album. Beyonce tried to make it a story but it was basically about her butt, her drinking watermelon (which thanks to urban dictionary, I found out is not the real fruit), telling the driver to roll up the window while she blows Jay-Z. And here we have songs of loss and pain, hope, love and songs with truly deep meanings and still get thrown out of the BB charts without being able to cross top 80.

On another note (53,307) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
Criticisms aside, I will say that I am happy with the way Mariah's interviews are going. She is shedding some light into things that happened in the past few years and she is sounding very professional and composed. This is something I have been wanting for a long time. I am glad to see her showing the "fighter" side in her instead of dismissing things like she doesn't care. I smiled at the part she said she wanted to kill because SIO didn't reach #1. I felt the same. So people take note, MC still very much cares about more #1's. Don't pretend that she doesn't care. When you have all the wealth in the world, you want more. Same with when you have all the #1's, you want more. It's human nature. MC is pretty much spelling it out. She will fight until she gets a #1 or a hit and people with the whole "she doesn't care about more hits" should maybe see that and accept that.

Darren S (53,304) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
You know, I will always hope you are right and I am always ready to be proven wrong by MC when I criticize her. But really I don't know how "Infinity" will bounce back. I thought that the BBMA performance will act as a re-release for "Infinity" but for that it needed to stay at least on the Hot 100 chart this week as well and also be in the iTunes top 40. It's quite a stretch to think it will still be a hit. I am more than happy to hear "I told you so, I got another hit" from Mariah but it doesn't seem like it'll happen. I know Missy Elliot's song shot to #1 on iTunes the moment she performed it at the Superbowl, but come on that's the Superbowl, this is not of the same level. With all the positivity surrounding MC, it's a shame that this single slipped through the cracks,

Marcus (53,303) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I am just upset because I thought that they would really put in a lot of effort to promote this single. I am with you on the whole "let's not pretend it's a buzz single or it was just meant for the Vegas residency", I am not a believer of that. I also mentioned it a few posts below. It has now become a habit that every time MC releases a single, they hype it up and then drop promotions or delay it or whatever and then it flops and gets dubbed as a buzz single. Case in point "Triumphant - the buzz single/single dedicated to Nick", "You're Mine - only for Valentine's day/tie over until album release/tie over until the real single", "TAOLG - only for the fans, not an official single". Give me a darn break, I can't with these. Nowadays even a crappy song can hit #1 or at least crack the top 20 with the right kind of promotions. Infinity is still better than most songs played now. I am not with the people who think that only MC's talent is enough to get her to #1. It is difficult as it is to get #1 and this isn't the 1990s. I have tried to be very positive this era, but with the fall of "Infinity" and people starting with the whole "this wasn't meant to burn up the charts, she'll kill with the new album" I am pissed now. MC is a major talent, but even MC needs good promo if she wants to do well.

No Shawty, it's Beyonce, reply to Will from England. (53,298) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter
I'm pretty sure she is talking about Beyonce and not JLo. JLo's cheat game happened years ago, Mariah has had a somewhat of a rebirth after that so we can say that incident happened in another lifetime. What makes me so sure this is about Beyonce is because she mentions "title, visuals and concept" was stolen. Title because Beyonce's new album was also self-titled. Visuals because she had a video for each song. Concept, well didn't Mariah say a while back that she had a secret album that no one knew about? Who was the only one to come up with a secret album around the time MC was supposed to release her work? She also said it would be a big scandal if she names the artist, and at this point so much has been written about JLo-MC feud that it wouldn't even make a story, on the other hand Beyonce gained superstar status after releasing her last album (whereas her previous ones were flops) and a MC-Beyonce feud would blow up the internet. The apprentice stealing from the mentor. Maybe this is why MC was not at the Tidal party.
