I've never cared about the personal gossip and the media sensationalism. It's all garbage. But, it will soon be time to break out the Christmas music again. I'm looking forward to that. The photo shoot from Merry Christmas is still one absolute favorites. She's so stunning and classic and very sexy naturally. Truth be I can lay that awesome "Joy to the world" remix anyday. Nobody can touch Mariah's O Holy Night IMHO and AIWFCIY is happiness. Lol. I think it could have more movement musically and emotionally speaking and I feel the autotune on Jesse's vocals actually detracts from the song rather than elevating it further. With a title like "Infamous" and Empire being a drama series I just felt the song didn't really leave the impact it feels like it calls for. That's just how I felt after hearing it. But, "stabbing Mariah in the back" for feeling a song is just OK seems a little much to me. (Friday 30 September 2016; 21:19)

I feel like musically it is never quite given the moment to soar that it seems to natuarally call for. It stays in one place, also found the tuning on Jesse's vocals destracting. It's somewhat understandable given the very public blow up and response to that. She's a sensitive person. There seems to be a sort of protection for her in keeping herself at arms length. I love Sting, but Eva totally brought something all hers to the song and it became something else entirely. I'd never thought of Mariah doing a cover, that could really be quite stunning. I don't think anyone expects people to always agree with Mariah's choices in the name of being a fan. But, if following her is a constant thorn in your side that leaves you disappointed and miserable, then what is the payoff? Realistically, I just don't expect Mariah to address her voice the way Randy is describing. This is showbusiness, she won't. It just doesn't happen like that. I don't really feel like I'm owed an explanation as a fan either. No one who has been in the game as long as Mariah has, stays vocally the way they were at 19. (Monday 5 September 2016; 21:27)

I really appreciate them and it's pretty obvious she's singing My All. I'm happy she still performs. I'm all about the music. As for the image she projects, honestly I think there's a big difference between accepting what is when you have zero influence on something. Lol. That's not an excuse. You can't "intervention" anything when there isn't a desire for it. It doesn't work. It is what it it. When I think of the pressure she must feel and the call for love that I know is underneath the external stuff, I feel compassion not judgement. *shrug* (Thursday 1 September 2016; 20:24)

I mean, I know people have mentioned concerns about the "reality" part, and yes, obviously she throws in her "diva-esque" moments that she likes, but the trailer doesn't seem that much different than her other "behind the scenes specials" like Homecoming, Through The Rain or TEOM. Mariah has always had this kind of "brave face" thing that she does. Definitely not trying to sound like a therapist or anything here, lol but being brought up by divorced parents, I can tell you that distraction can be a way of coping not really wanting to go to the places that still feel pretty uncomfortable within yourself, and I don't mean Nick perse, I mean actually letting go of all the stuff you process when you experience something like that. It's one thing to vent, it's another to feel like it's truly released and you aren't holding on to unresolved stuff. (Wednesday 10 August 2016; 18:27)

That tends to get really twisted. You know? Like if you have compassion for where somebody is at, it means you are being delusional. That to me is not accurate. We all have issues that come up. I might get hate for saying this, but I just don't think Mariah is interested right now. JD made a comment a while ago about a certain time when family and whatever other personal life become priority and I really feel she likes her life the way it is. He's on point with that. She feels she's earned her stripes. Being able to tour on her terms and do other stuff etc. I'm not saying she doesn't want success, I just don't think she's as obsessed with it now as in the early days. And I don't see the Marilyn Monroe thing going anywhere. (Mairlyn took a public beating for her image too, she was popular but also faced a ton of opposition and scrutiny for being "too sexy" and or a "dumb blonde".) Mariah enjoys her image. I guess I'm just weird, in that I can't be angry with her about it. There's absolutely no point. I'd rather enjoy my life. Lol. But then, I also have learned to stop worrying/thinking about the public too. Mariah is gonna do what she does. I just don't see her going an "Adele" route or even "toning it down". (BTW not defending, nor judging her either, I just don't expect her to suddenly drop it, at least not anytime soon lol.) She clearly gets something out of the way she has chosen to project her image. She's aware it doesn't exactly make her "accessible" to the general public. If she was concerned about that, she wouldn't purposely draw attention to it and joke about it.
