About Malcolm from Asia:

Photoshoot (62,526) by Malcolm from Asia
Mariah is having a photo shoot in New York. For a single cover? I'm crossing my fingers. Time to get back to the real job and promote about the music instead of what's happening right now.

Re: WWHL (62,378) (62,382) by Malcolm from Asia
I think it's in the NBC Upfronts where all of them are in the theater, the one Mariah had her over the top entrance. I guess when the Mariah's World trailer previews in it, Andy Cohen saw or intentionally looked JLo's reaction for that.

Oh that's not the link, here you go. Mimi slayed, she looks phenomenal.

Re: WWHL (62,334) (62,343) by Malcolm from Asia
Agreed. I guess she really saw what JLo said about her in her last media tour so I guess that's why she seemed irritated on her response on TMZ and said that "I still don't know her" remark. By the way, she looked very stunning on WWHL I must say, that's already my favorite look of her so far this year. The make up was great, I hope she continues that. She looked calm and open (except with the Nicki thing because she don't want to déclassé ) in there, I love it. Just don't like that she was late on live television, like seriously the diva act must be tone down. But anyway, I'm here patiently waiting for new music.

Mariah's face (62,281) by Malcolm from Asia
As I see this new pic, it really seems that she doesn't lose the weight in her face. I don't know, her face doesn't look even for her body right now. Look at this photo, her current body looks already closely similar with her 2013 body but her face doesn't. Why is that? This is an honest question, no shade or anything.

Article: Can Mariah's World humanize Mariah's public perception? (62,273) by Malcolm from Asia
I'm crossing my fingers about this, please don't waste this opportunity Mariah. I have to give the props because the trailer seems fun, exciting, and real. I hope it reflects in the whole series.

Re: Re-entering the charts? (62,202) (62,212) by Malcolm from Asia
I'm dying to hear what Faded sounds like if she will re-record it with her current voice. I really wish that she will include it in her next album and hoping to release it as a single. I do feel that Faded is originally planned to be a single for MIAM but because of the unfortunate events happened, it did not push through. Or maybe release an album that consists of album cuts from the previous records and named it "Gems"? Of course Mine Again, Migrate, and Faded must be the singles.

Janet Jackson new music video "Dammn Baby" (62,014) by Malcolm from Asia
Damn Janet, you clearly still got it. She looked like she was just having fun but slaying the entire video. That smile and her cheekbones, I really love this song. Of course I will not post this if I will not associate it with Mariah. I just adores the production and effort that Janet and her team put into this album. Even though it did not make hits or live up the commercial success that they want, it's still surely satisfying in terms of the creative side of the project. This is how I wish Mariah will do in her next music videos, don't sacrifice the creativity and production value of it just to show the public that you're still capable of being naked and whatnots. Yes I'm one of the people that love to see Mariah back on top but if I will to choose whether an album that is a commercial and production let down or an album that is a commercial let down but had a superb production and creativity, of course I will choose the latter. Singer's works will always say something about them as an artist, it will always represents them. I cannot question the artistry (in terms of the songs) that MIAM had, but for me it had been better if they stick to the plan a.k.a. "The Art of Letting Go" because I can see that Mariah had a vision for it based on the trailer and that's the project that they put all the effort on so many years.

Mimi L. said it right. We are saying these things not for us but for the sake of Mariah. Yes, it's negative but seriously come on, it is true. I'm just saying those things because I know she wants respect, she wants to be credited and all that. But if she doesn't care about all of this, I'm not gonna bother posting my opinion about her image. Just try to read comments online and how the media write articles about her, you will see what we are talking about.

Mariah's image (61,854) by Malcolm from Asia
This just all frustrates us. I agree that in her social media posts, it's like 10% random fans, another 10% lambs that defending her and 80% all the haters or should I say people that are not buying her antics. I can't blame those people because they have basis or reason why they are doing that and I also felt the same way and it is hurtful as a fan. It is not just a random hate that is unnecessary, that is the honest perception of people on Mariah. I don't believe or blame the people that surrounds her on why she acts like that, yes in other aspects like how the social media posts are heading, this and that, but the recent actions of her is making me to cringe a lot and disappointment. After all, she is human and a mature person (I want to believe that) that can say no in doing lap dances or something along with that. If one person should blame for all of this, that is solely Mariah. I believe that this are all her choices and decisions. I don't know, it's just sad that the majority of the public just see Mariah as a "celebrity" with diva attitude and not an "artist" that is serious and hands-on with her music. Her image has really overshadows her artistry. It really broke my heart that from all of her peers, she has the least respect from the general public/media and only sees her as this diva with bizarre demands that lives in another world. When it's safe to say that she is the most talented among of them in terms of musicality and a true artist.

Re: Rihanna's desperate, really? (61,771) (61,794) by Malcolm from Asia
With all due respect, what I meant by "desperate" is she seems like pushing it hard but not thinking the quality of the music she releases. It's like she just wants to collect more #1's but not having music that will stand the test of time. I know that "records are meant to be broken" but I just felt that it's unfair for The Beatles and Mariah if she's playing that "I will collaborate with Drake or Calvin Harris just to have more #1s because I am relevant" card. But again, if this how the modern music industry works then it is what it is. I love her and even more by respecting Mariah, I just said what I think and felt personally in the situation. But if the time will come that she will surpass them, then good for her, I will just move on. It's not like I will come after her or whatever.

Re: On the subject of image / Article: A view from the top (61,752) (61,757) by Malcolm from Asia
You are right, I couldn't agree more. Respect is earned not given and as how Mariah representing herself in public, I think the ridiculous/harsh write ups and articles will always be there.

My All - Cape Town (61,743) by Malcolm from Asia
This is the full performance, one of the best indeed, her tone is unbelievable. I feel that she just holds back in "cause I can't go on" but she can really pull that off. It's sad because if other artists did this, surely it will blows up the media and praise galore.

Rihanna / Calvin Harris song (61,739) by Malcolm from Asia
It turns out Rihanna is desperate to have another #1 song by depending on another collaboration/artist. It seems like she cannot reach the top 10 alone and must be accompanied by another big artist to crack the top charts. I don't know but my honest feeling about this is that The Beatles and Mariah will seem to be cheated in that sense if Rihanna surpasses them by these tactics. It's not bad to collaborate but she's like really trying hard to beat them by it. Perhaps this is really how the modern music industry works.

Re: Mariah's epic performance (61,703) (61,713) by Malcolm from Asia
Yes, that's also what I'm thinking about. That "trust me, you don't want to miss it" part of her post about Essence Fest is tricky.

Another hints (61,694) by Malcolm from Asia
Okay enough with the clues. I can't, what is she doing haha. Just look at this and this. I can say that something is really happening here.

Re: Mariah and Beyonce duet (61,684) (61,685) by Malcolm from Asia
It's "Beyonce Predictions" but they stop posting every now and then but the on-going rumors and predictions about the Mimi-Bey duet is everywhere. I know, it's hard to expect haha but I will keep my hopes up because this is one of a hell collaboration. I do agree, they must take advantage of this if it's true, it's like once of a lifetime collaboration. After 10 years, it must not be forgotten and will be one of the most iconic duet of all time. Look what happened to "When You Believe", even though it did not reach #1, it is so well-loved by the public. Whenever I watch the music video, it still always give me chills.

If this and this ain't true, I don't know anymore. This Beyonce featuring Mariah Carey is strongly buzzing. Lambs and Beyhives are starting to unite.

Mariah and Beyonce duet (61,681) by Malcolm from Asia
I can't, the news is swirling around and it seems a legit one. Diane Martel who has previously directed 8 music videos for Mariah posted this on her instagram. She revealed that she will be working on "something special" with Mimi and Bey, which can also mean separately. But there is also a prediction from Beyonce's camp last week that there's gonna be a powerhouse artist that will be featured on the deluxe edition of Beyonce's new album Lemonade. And a Beyonce fan account confidently confirmed a while ago that the artist is Mariah. I know, it's hard to expect and hope but what if? Surely, I'm one of the people who will rejoice if the duet will happen and knowing Beyonce's team, the possible MV will be undoubtedly well-crafted. Attention Mimi L.

Vegas show (61,666) by Malcolm from Asia
I do agree, Mariah must revamp her show. With what's happening with her voice, it's better to put all the effort and elements aligned for a fantastic show. Wish she will have a runway style of stage to have more connection between her and the audience. She can do one pure acoustic number, it will be so much good to hear. Drop the "exclusive for #1's only" show, 1 year is enough to inform the public that she have 18 #1 hits and "that's something that nobody else has". It is good for her and the people who will come to the show if she will mix up the set list now and then because there are really like few of her #1's that the general audience wants to hear everytime like Emotions, ABMB, WBT, Hero. TGIFY, IDWC, Someday, DFAU for me are her most unpopular #1's, it's like the casual audience doesn't care if these songs will not be in the show. It will also be great if she will perform 2-3 songs from the Chanteuse or Memoirs album, it can help rebuilding and freshen up her image and signify the present Mariah. Because the problem with the #1's is the audience wants to hear exactly what she sounded in the studio version and will not be satisfied or will be in awe if it is not. If she will sing Faded, Betcha Gon Know, #Beautiful, or even Almost Home, they can have new perception for her and they will appreciate the voice more and will no longer be concentrated with "where is the 90's Mariah?", "she cannot sing like she used to", "she can't sing" stuff. They will be into the emotions and vibes and not into the critique side of it. Come through Mariah

Re: New music / SSF tour extension (61,417) (61,423) by Malcolm from Asia
Don't lose my hopes for the new single Mimi L. haha, I'm really expecting that single this quarter. That's another word that I don't really expect to believe from her but as a lamb who is so dehydrated for new music, I'm going to. As what Whitney and her said, "There can be miracles, when you believe." Lol.

Re: Bianca (61,355) (61,359) by Malcolm from Asia
It's true. This Bianca "comeback" thing must be petty and just for the laughs. Bringing Bianca is a bitter-sweet for me because it does not executed beautifully. They had at least found a better wig and I can't with her face; the contour and eye make-up are so severe. I felt like it does not meet the expectations for the long wait and excitement for an epic Bianca appearance. But nonetheless, it still put a smile on my face and it's enough for now. She must concentrate with her music and create another body of work. Seriously, these things cannot earn and gain her the respect she deserves (and she wants) from the public. Time to show them that her maturity exist.

Make-up not so "pow" (61,358) by Malcolm from Asia
Agree, her face sometimes looks hideous because of the heavy make-up. I like her make up more in the Elusive Chanteuse Show, it looks natural and she looked radiant. I also observe that she smiles like this often recently that I find weird and odd. Wish that she will bring back this natural and youthful look and will not stuck with contouring and all that, she have a beautiful face, it's not really necessary. And I don't know if it's just me but I know her body is almost near with the Idol era and a killer right now but it seems like her face doesn't lose the weight, I don't know if it's because of the angles. It can be the reason why they always put a lot of contouring into her face.

"Just hold on..." (61,321) by Malcolm from Asia
She finally did the original version of it. She's now belting like effortless in many of her performances. She's really getting there.
