About T from USA :

December 26th AIWFCIY lamb streaming party (91,535) by T from USA
I think the only (and best) shot for #1 is going to be Christmas week. December 20-26, those seven days. Period. The world shuts down and AIWFCIY takes over. The only day to watch is the 26th. Airplay, sales and streams will die a big death that day so the fans have to commit to a big streaming party or something that day. Like the first anniversary of Caution when we got streams 20% higher on that day alone. Can this be organized? Take nothing for granted she could literally miss the #1 spot by two points.

Drake or Bieber too.

Re: Get off auto pilot, Mariah - keep creating (91,434) (91,444) by T from USA
I just don't think fans will be happy if she doesn't push herself the way they are used to seeing her do. She's in a different category for some reason. Just releasing music like Smoky Robinson does won't please her fans. Actually the industry as a whole still compares her to her peak times as well as still putting her in the same standards as the much generation of pop stars. So that's why I think one more full blown era with all stops is all she should do. After that test on the legacy, tour the vast catalogue.

Re: Get off auto pilot, Mariah - keep creating (91,427) (91,429) by T from USA
I agree but I do think one last album is all she needs. Her voice isn't what it once used to be and after about 30 years acts start to become more obscure and niche. Also if she doesn't feel like promo or playing the awards game then she will always have quick eras that really don't go anywhere. Caution is a masterpiece but if nobody hears it then did it really matter? I like how she's cementing her legacy, even though it seems a bit early she has been around a long time. And sometimes the market dictates when you become a legacy act. I wish she released more than just two albums this decades but I understand she had kids.

Re: AIWFCIY, 19th #1 (91,425) (91,428) by T from USA
Streaming and buying are the Friday to Thursday. Radio is the Monday to Sunday. So on the week of Christmas radio will only have three days unfortunately (23rd, 24th, 25th) but sales and streaming will have six (20th-25th). It's a long shot but streaming is enough on those six days combined with three heavy days of radio she has a shot. Christmas 2021 is when the week lines up better as Christmas falls on a Thursday (end of the week for both formats). But we can't wait another two years.

Re: AIWFCIY, 19th #1 (91,411) (91,423) by T from USA
You have to buy the song on the peak week from iTunes starting December 20th. Also pre-order the physical single on Amazon or her website. That will really be helping the song go to number 1. Plus stream on the week of December 20th. Spotify and YouTube. Maybe even call a few of your local radio stations that week to request the song. It’s going to take an effort on all those fronts to achieve the almost impossible.

Next album: Gospel Jazz Soul (91,417) by T from USA
I hope she takes a real live musical route with her next album. Songs in the vein of The Wind, Vanishing, My Saving Grace and Fly Like A Bird. I think she should produce the whole album by herself and show everyone how far her talents go. Keep it to eleven songs to mirror her debut and simply call the album "Mariah". The Grammys and the industry as a whole would die. I loved "Caution" but I don't want anything current of the moment from her next. Forget charts or sales. It's probably her last album on her contract anyway. I want something so timeless. Something so organic. Something so different than her other albums but still so true to who she is as an artist.

Mariah and Celine, All I Want For Christmas (89,015) by T from USA
If they did do a song together everybody would undoubtedly compare it to their former work or even the duet between Mariah and Whitney. So I'm thinking to not do an original song at all, unless it's an original Christmas song. People have more mercy on Christmas songs and they are both very famous for their holiday material. They could cover a Christmas song or even better yet, duet on AIWFCIY. I mean if she did it with Bieber. Get that 19th #1 Mimi.

Celine, Mariah, the voices (88,990) by T from USA
It would be great. For the Record books. And if it is to happen it better happen before Celine duets with another certain somebody.

Mariah shades A No No remix (88,728) by T from USA
I traveled all the way to the Toronto show last night and it was well worth it the moment she shaded the "remix" by starting the Fantasy remix with saying how to her, remixes are supposed to be redone in creative new ways. Then she gave a big sassy Mariah smile and the fans went crazy. It was a moment. (I think it was a shot at Epic and/or Roc Nation.)

40 million on YouTube views for Caution (88,656) by T from USA
I hope she can get 40 million views with Caution album on YouTube. It would be pretty respectable if after the era ends (by the end of the world tour) if she has these stats:

- GTFO music video: 10 million
- With You music video: 10 million
- A No No music video: 10 million
- A No No audio video: 2 million
- A No No lyric video: 1 million
- Caution audio video: 1 million
- The Distance lyric video: 1 million
- Giving Me Life audio video: 1 million
- One Mo' Gen audio video: 1 million
- 8th Grade audio video: 1 million
- Stay Long Love audio video: 1 million
- Portrait audio video: 1 million

A few of these goals she's already reached, the others are very close. Right now she sits at around 25 million views for Caution.

The video (88,393) by T from USA
It's okay. I like how it doesn't try to beat us over the head with subtext from the lyrics. I liked that she actually had background extras in a video. When was the last time that happened? It's Like That, We Belong Together. After that it was all solo videos or just one extra person, plus a featured artist if there was ever any. But historically Mariah never had background extras in the 1990's either. Heartbreaker being the exception.

A No No feat. Stefflon Don (88,357) by T from USA
It's been confirmed that the remix features Stefflon Don. Looks like MC doesn't have the pull she once used to. She was looking for Kim and Cardi and couldn't even end up with Missy. Shame.

The singles this era (88,317) by T from USA
When they released GTFO with the video on Thursday September 14th, they should've released the first single the very next day "A No No" Friday September 15th. Had a Kim & Cardi remix ready to go and debut it at the American Music Awards on October 8th. "The Distance" as a single on Friday November 16th to coincide with the album release and the Tonight Show performance. A video to follow by the end of November. "With You" in late January to build for Valentine's Day and the tour. That's it. Three official singles, one remix and one buzz song. That's all they needed to do. They had the promotion lined up they just didn't execute.

No A No No (88,316) by T from USA
So apparently A No No has been pulled. No word yet if they will eventually send it for adds or not. But as of now the whole thing is cancelled. I just hope it's not because of the fact that the first single didn't make the Hot 100 chart. It seems Mariah is super aware of her successes and failures, and I hope she's not jumping ship just because the songs haven't been connecting as of yet. Or else maybe all those female rappers backed out and it really messed things up. We probably will never know. Here's hoping a Shrillex remix of the Distance featuring Justin Beiber could be made.

Caution world tour set list (88,260) by T from USA
I hope the set stays the same for the whole tour. It's perfect the way it is.

Re: A No No alert (88,255) (88,259) by T from USA
I hope so. It does seem like there is something they are hiding. Otherwise just release the album version. Don't be surprised if the album version is released then followed by the remix closer to the summer.

A No No over (88,159) by T from USA
Some D-list rapper posted an instagram story in the studio saying they are on the A No No remix. It's another YG (I Don't) moment unfortunately. I would much rather just the album version at this point. Why Mariah? Has your stock fallen this low? Serious thought: I really hope this is the last album/era that she's marketed in the vein of Beyonce. She needs to start going down the Adult Contemporary route. I mean she will be 49 soon, then 50. Time to work with real musicians and make real music again, while you still have your voice.

A No Cardi no (88,146) by T from USA
Does anyone else find the no Cardi remix weird? I mean she said on an interview posted December 20th that she doesn't have time to do it, but that interview was made a week before that and now we are at the end of February and you're telling me she couldn't mailed in one verse?

Andrew gone (87,335) by T from USA
Do you think there is a correlation between Mariah's amazing positive year and Andrew's decline in posting and subsequent departure? Mariah is flawless right now.

Re: Mariah / Walter (87,198) (87,199) by T from USA
They had set up a meeting to meet in 2013 but it fell through. Why? Now that is a question I would like these "journalists" to ask Walter. I sometimes think part of her (the ego part) would be ashamed to show him her actual range now. Remember the things he heard from her in 1990-1997. But also of course she doesn't want to look back. (Although she does it with JD, but maybe Walter is more of a one trick pony. Still I'd take another go with that one trick.)

Official download day (86,948) by T from USA
There are two days floating around as an official Download Day for AIWFCIY: Friday December 14th or Friday December 21st. Once we get a concrete day we can all do #glitter moment for the song to try and push it to the top.

Mark Ronson (86,692) by T from USA
My only wish with Caution is that Mariah also worked with Mark Ronson. What he did with that Miley Cyrus song is nothing short of amazing. The title of it fits Mariah and Caution so much too. Ronson and Blood Orange on one album.

Mariah at New Years festivities (86,316) by T from USA
Does everyone realize that new years eve is on a Thursday night this year. So if she is planning to return to the stage one more time at times square to debut A No No feat. Cardi B and Lil Kim it will be available to download right at the beginning of Friday morning and if there is a video ready to go we could be looking at a #1 debut the first week of January.

Sales (86,289) by T from USA
The sales projections were raised from early projections by 3k. They are reporting that it could end up on the high end of 55,000. Here's a reminder to keep streaming this week. We are doing it and if it can surprise the whole industry and get to 60,000 in its first week it will be a huge success. It could even mean more promotion and a longer era. So keep buying, keep streaming it will make a difference.
