Music video (41,028) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Do you guys think that maybe the music video will be similar to the BET performance? The pictures she had with Trey and JD features her in a similar (albeit less risky) black gown and opera gloves. The background is an indoor set. Maybe the video will feature Mariah on a piano. Will / Licia (41,027) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Will, lol yes I heard the mail gets it incorrect most of the time (although I am guilty of reading its entertainment section almost regularly lol). I read the article and I was like really? Out of all the iconic hits Mariah gave, why did they write another artist's song? Licia, I know, right? In the pics it seems like she was lying down, then sat up, then sat in a kneeling position, and the dress is not for once out of place, and there didn't seem to be any helpers there, I can't wait to see how she pulled it off. What I am wondering is how she managed to not have a major wardrobe malfunction and how on earth did she move around in that dress, changing positions and all. I guess only a true diva can do it. So in one of the articles it's written that the "I will always love you singer..." However isn't it a Whitney song? Was it a typo or is she really releasing the Whitney Cover this friday? Double album (40,979) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I like that idea. I have been thinking for a while too that she has enough material to release a double disc album (even a triple disc lol) because she has been working on this album like forever. I like Mikey's idea that she could have one disc consisting of only songs with her vocals, and the second with multiple duets. And she can release two simultaneous singles from each disc. I don't want her to drop some good songs just because she could not fit it into the tracklist limit. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 20:32)

B (40,978) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter You should listen to the remix like right about now! Inseparable itself was a super cute song, and when they added Trey's part it didn't change it. I liked H.A.T.E.U. remix but I think somewhere along the song it felt like Mariah was the featured artist (but I still loved it as I love when Mariah uses re-sung vocals for remixes). Inseperable kept Mariah's original parts, and just added Trey's vocals. But it was still cute and if the lead single is like that I wouldn't mind. And they would look great in the music video too. Matt / Trey Songz (40,968) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mariah and Trey had amazing vocal chemistry in the Inseperable remix, and I personally would not have a problem if the lead single is with Trey, however I would not want it to be a cover of an old song. This is one of the most anticipated songs of the year, and it can almost be counted as Mariah's official lead single for the new album (since #Beautiful was like almost a year back). So it would be better if the song is a Mariah original. About a week left. I won't lie, I am a bit worried since Mariah is not even talking about the song. The only two times she mentioned it was the NYE concert and then a small line at the end of her charity post. After that she gave multiple posts about the charity but none about the song. How would you all feel if she releases 2 songs on Valentine's day? A dance/party themed one and another ballad. Complete with 2 videos. (Thursday 6 February 2014; 11:16)

The video Mariah posted on Facebook, where she's swimming and yells 7 more days, is she wearing a mermaid costume? I couldn't see clearly, it did look like a pink/purple mermaid tail. Mariah taught us well to keep things classy. What is funny though is people are "disliking" our apology posts using the thumbs down button lol. I mean come on! I also agree with your post about Obsessed. It was as great song and a major diss on a rapper who has been dissing other people for years and I don't think any other female artist stood upto him. But oh well since all three of us took turns to apologize, all is fine and well from my side. Great to meet other Mariah fans! Obsessed / new album (40,903) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I love obsessed! It's a fun song, very catchy and summer-y. Even my non-Mariah friends really like the song. I don't really mind the auto tune. It's one of those songs which prove that Mariah is capable of catering to different audiences and different types of music. Also I agree with clueey, I loved Memoirs (every single song) along with some of the amazing remixes we heard from that album. About the new album, it seems like the indirect promotions have already started with collaborators dropping Mariah's name in recent interviews. As someone pointed out on this board, it must not be a coincidence that all of a sudden people are talking about working with Mariah right now. I'm so excited for the new single! When I specifically asked if B was referring to you, it was only because you were the only one (up until that time) to reply to B's last message where she wrote that Mariah heard the bad reviews of Charmbracelet and came up with We Belong Together/TEOM. Your reply was something like Charmbracelet's reviews were bogus and that people blame Mariah no matter if she sings in her lower or higher register. I can't understand from the title whether it's a slow ballad or a dance/club/party song. Either ways I just desperately want a new song (possibly some re-sung remixes, yes I am being greedy), a new music video (preferably a well thought out video with a good concept) and finally the main album. Valentine's Day (40,874) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Rashidi, I think what you heard is the offer Mariah gave for charity. She urged fans to donate to a particular charity event and a winner will be chosen, who'll be flown to New York to Mariah's apartment (along with a loved one) and she'll sing some of their (the fan's) favorite songs one to one as a thank you for helping her raise money. Which is quite a sweet and generous thing for her to do. Other than that, the only other thing set for 14th February is her single release. (Thursday 30 January 2014; 16:11)

Mariah / Isaac (40,838) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Mariah seems to be collaborating with Nas, Wale, Darhyl and another "surprise collabo". This must be a diverse album because Mariah said that TAOLG shows which direction the album is going (raw ballads) and now we are getting to know a lot of people including different rappers are on board. Another TEOM/Butterfly in the making? Excited! Isaac, you are entitled to your opinion but do you think that maybe all these attacks are not just because of Nas, but also because you keep shooting down everyone else's opinion by making them sound like it's the most ridiculous opinion you have read. There are many messages of yours where you tell people off in a very rude manner, most of your messages start with "I don't care what you think" or something delusional like Marian still sounds like her earlier years and then there are the usual "who cares about Mariah's hair/dress/songs, Mariah is perfect". You were rude to the webmaster saying you don't care if you offended him, why not? He is the reason we all are able to come together here and discuss our love for Mariah. Lamb o chop wrote to him too, but the message wasn't harsh like yours. You are calling people non-factors, who gave you the right really? I get that you adore Mariah, so do we, in our own ways. You have to really let people just express their opinion instead of attacking everyone. More like Beyonce (they are pretty good friends I think), or Britney, Rihanna (I don't really like her), Christina Aguilera, Adele or Shakira? I think her and Beyonce could be huge. Britney too. She could do a "groovy" dance song (similar to Migrate), an uptempo "feel good" song or even a ballad. Also which other female collaborators can you think of? George Golden (40,788) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter If you haven't been keeping up with the news, a new song is already on its way, with a release date (14th February). Mariah has already mentioned the album will be ready by late spring. There is no need to hate on "that guy" (Nick), he is the one that apparently makes Mariah happy and why blame him for the mess? Plus when did Mariah go full ghetto? She likes to add RnB flavors to her songs, and some of us like it. As far as reinventing goes, she did keep changing her style every now and then, so I really don't see what you mean. Go pull a Lady Gaga? Or Britney? It would be ridiculous, because then she'd be made fun of, like Madonna. I like that Mariah keeps it classy. She should tone the sexuality a little but other than that I really see no problems with her songs. They just don't get enough promotion, and that's why they don't chart well. I am happy to see that it increased from 14 million to 17 million in less than 2 months! (I know I am being stupid and/or silly, but hey it excites me to see more people joining her fandom.) Licia you are right, I posted the same message a while back, where on earth is the video? I really want to see it. She had an accident and yet went to shoot the rest and then why drop it? I still didn't see the videos I told you about and I am not sure if Indrani was involved, but for Mariah's sake, I really hope she takes note from her videos from Butterfly and TEOM. You are totally right about Beautiful, the song was great but the video was horrible, sitting on a bike touching herself wearing that awful outfit. The second video of Beautiful (the explicit version where there is just one scene throughout, and she's dancing in that yellow dress for like 4 minutes) was so pointless, i don't even know why they released it. The Roof was great too, simple and classy. So is Breakdown. Edward, I was going to write this before but I forgot, you are right about how Mariah should be completely ready with videos and remixes and promotion strategies in mind. Unlike last time where she kept releasing remixes for Beautiful for 1 whole week for almost no good reason, it really did nothing much for the song, and only the Jeezy remix was good. I am glad she is already shooting the video, hopefully she will learn from her mistake and make this year completely about her (like 2005). (Saturday 25 January 2014; 5:07)

The Art Of Letting Go (40,736) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I agree, she should change the album name to something more positive for a new beginning, start completely afresh and slay it. Although I loved both Triumphant and Beautiful, I would be fine if she just leaves all those behind and only include new materials in this album, with the Valentine's day single being considered the first official single. Her videos should be more well thought and classy (no more H.A.T.E.U repeats). Sexy is fine, but not trying too hard! (It's Like That, Honey, WBT were so sexy and yet classy.) And the Whitney cover, if true, should be an album cut, not a single, at the very least not the lead single. Lead should be a Mariah original, possibly something upbeat to get the party started (like she described It's Like That). I know a lot of fans are just fine with Mariah releasing new material, and they don't care about chart success. As much as I am dying to hear some new MC originals, I want Mariah to bring her A game! She should take inspiration from how hard she worked to promote TEOM and apply the same strategy for this album. With all the nonsensical music that people release nowadays and get number 1s with, I want Mariah to shut them all up and show them how it's done. She might not be at her vocal best (one can't blame her, the lady has been putting her vocal chords through hell for years), but she still is and will be one of the best singers in the world. I really want Mariah to take over the charts and have all the attention back on her. (Friday 24 January 2014; 6:23)
