I think it's fun to have a laugh at the absurd. So tiresome don't you think? I'm not really fashion centered much, but I can feel the joy when you talk about the ensembles and makeup, so why the heck not? Re: The future (60,284) (60,311) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada Not sure how posts here can be interpreted and generalized like everything MC does is perfect, because it seems by and large like people understand she's not perfect. Music is subjective. Hits and misses are part of anything. Ardis and Licia bring up good points about making the music she wants to make vs having strings of #1's. You can never please everyone, and we're all bound to go through cycles that maybe don't feel as inspired to the listener (Infinity for some for example). All MC can do is move forward making music that feels good. Whether people agree with the musical choices she makes, is a whole other topic. Lol. She loves R&B and rap/hip-hop, so I doubt those elements would ever vanish completely from her influences as a musician. (Wednesday 9 March 2016; 22:07)

And I don't mean to tell people how to think or what to post. I appreciate diversity, truly If my comments are annoying to some, so be it. Scroll right on down. Will JLo and MC be BFF's? Probably not. I wasn't suggesting that, so I'm not sure why the rolling eyes emoticon was needed. My point is, the general public, and the media like to bring up drama and the potential for a diva feud anywhere possible, and I don't think the "issue" is as big as people want to make it. They work in the same industry. This kind of stuff happens. It's not that big a deal. If I offended people with my post, I apologize. I try to see things from all sides. That's just how I am. Am I the only one? (60,117) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada Who legitimately feels there is no feud between Mariah and JLo? The Loverboy sample was so long ago. Mariah has said several times that even though "I don't know her" was taken by and large as diva shade, she meant it in a way like she didn't "know" her well enough to comment on the question she was being asked about her. As for JLo texting during the BB Awards performance, at the time I thought it was blown way out of proportion, and I still think that. I watched the plead the fifth thing, and I think she is being honest when she said there is no feud. Her answer felt genuine as to why she hasn't seen Mariah's show. And as for JLo emulating Mariah in some ways, if that's indeed true (lots of celebrities lie the honey blonde look etc) as a Mariah fan, I take it as a compliment. I think JLo is more of a dancer/entertainer. Maybe that's just me. Idol didn't treat Mariah well at all, they messed up a really good thing in doing so too. But it's not like JLo was behind the scenes, going "Yeah, treat Mariah badly please." Lol. And yeah, JLo is kinda everywhere with Idol and her TV show and Vegas. I don't know, I guess I don't take things as competitive. I think she's just out there working. The media is going to respond how it does, regardless. (Tuesday 1 March 2016; 22:12)

Things are changing all the time. What's OK for one, should be OK for all, and it's an acceptable way to promote digital music right now. It's always felt uncomfortable to me when you start defining being a Mariah fan by having to either blame Mariah for what she is or isn't choosing to do at the time, or by undercutting in Mariah's name. I might not rock out to Rihanna regularly, or own any of her albums, but her music is clearly bringing enjoyment for people which is the whole point to it all if you ask me, so yay to that. Lol. It is possible Ri could tie or break MC's record (59,962) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada But I just don't see the point in worrying about it to the point of obsession. Mariah doesn't have control over which records do well and which do not. Neither does Ri. Mariah doesn't even always have control over which records are allowed to become singles. Yes, obviously artists want to do well, but the way the mood of the board is going it's like Mariah should "buy" a number one record so that there is nothing to "threaten" her. Mariah is my favorite artist ever, but I just don't buy into that way of thinking. Worrying and stressing over something not wanted before it has even happened is like inviting it to come to pass. Yes, it "could" happen, but it hasn't yet, so why put the cart before the horse? If/when it happens then someone broke a record just like Mariah did. I know that the way numbers are calculated are different today and that Ri "gave away" her single. But, it's not like anything can be done about that right? Except for make noise as music lovers about the way singles are counted today. (Tuesday 23 February 2016; 18:26)
