About Malcolm from Asia:

Re: Mariah vs Beyonce (59,048) (59,053) by Malcolm from Asia
I wish the public sees that on her Mandy. But honestly, I think everyone is more likely seeing or imposing that "self-centered" attitude with Mariah. I don't think Beyonce is self-centered in real life, she is more like genuine person but wants the control in everything she does. I agree with Giovanni, even though I'm a fan of hers, like she and Mariah are my ultimate favorites. I must say, Bey is a little bit overrated and not the "best singer of this generation". If I will categorize them, Mariah is more like "the best artist of her generation" and Beyonce is like "the best performer/entertainer of her generation". And if they will have a vocal battle, I think they will tied haha. Their voices are so different from each other so it's hard to choose I guess. But, if she or other singers today will have that battle in the 90's, definitely Mariah will win. I think it's safe to say that Ms. Mariah Carey really owned 1990s.

Re: Oh please, Adele? (58,936) (58,945) by Malcolm from Asia
Just for your information, Katy Perry is definitely in her prime: Her last album debuted atop with 200k units sold and it produced 2 #1 hits. Her last world tour is her most successful to date and it is the highest-grossing tour by female artist for 2014. And she is the "Top-Earning Women In Music" for 2015, which our queen placed at #9. I'm saying this just to have a right and equal information about other artists because it's unfair for them and to their followers. Lastly, please stop abasing other artist especially when it's not even true and as I read your message, I think it's too far for being an opinion because you are clearly stating your facts.

New album, new look (58,899) by Malcolm from Asia
I wish Mariah would try some new hairstyle/haircut for the next era. I always imagine her in a short hair and I think it suits her and bring some youthfulness on her look. And when I saw this, it's definitely good, but this look is what I most looking forward for her. It will be surely a surprise for all the people, it will be talked about and I guess will introduce her to younger generation, all they (Team Mariah) need is right outfits and on-point style at any moment. I will say this, JLo has fabulous amount of followers on Instagram because of her on-point looks and selfies, if Mariah will do the same thing it will bring her some huge following most especially having that unparalleled artistry, we will definitely see her back at number one.

This pic gives me Rainbow era vibes. I always want dem boobies to be covered because it brings out her elegance but this time I'm totally fine with it, Ms. Mariah Carey is smoking hot.

The legit year our queen born (58,649) by Malcolm from Asia
I just want to ask when is the real birthday of Mariah Carey? Because in Wikipedia they are not sure whether it's in 1969 or 1970. Thank you. [Webmaster: According to People magazine, Mariah was actually born in 1969. In response to fan inquiries about the correct date, a spokesperson of the magazine issued a statement, "We have a copy of Ms. Carey's driver's license, which lists her birthday as March 27, 1969. Furthermore, we spoke with the administrators at the high school she attended who confirmed that Ms. Carey's birthday is March 27, 1969, as did her management when we made our initial interview." A reason why the executives could have changed her birthyear was to make Mariah look younger. After all, when you say someone is born in the 1960's, her or she looks much older than someone who was born in the 1970's. Even if there is only a year difference. A more far fetched idea for Mariah "lying" about her birthyear could be her name. She says she was named Mariah after the song "They call the wind Mariah". If Mariah was born in 1969, then this obviously wasn't the case. Maybe her real name is Maria or Mary and the executives used Mariah to make her seem more exotic or memorable and they backed it up with a new birth year.]

We Belong Together live (58,542) by Malcolm from Asia
Yes, we all know that she always lipped that climax. I believe it is for preserving her voice and after I discovered that even Celine Dion lipped her song's climax most of the time in her Vegas shows, I now wholeheartedly fine with it as a lamb. But after I saw this, I think it's time to have a straight up live performance of WBT for all the people who criticizes her voice. The rest of the performance is amazing, her low notes are as beautiful as it was sounded. I guess she is just afraid but I do believe that she will nailed it.

Mariah Carey at Pier 1 pop-up event (58,160) by Malcolm from Asia
When I saw this pic, my smile can't even go away because Idol-riah is officially back. Her outfits recently are always on point and phenomenal like she used to in 2012-2013. Gosh I'm so excited to see her wear that plunging bodysuit next year at Vegas to slay all the haters.

Re: GMA interview (58,081) (58,094) by Malcolm from Asia
I just wish that Mariah realize something in terms of performing after they showed that clip and I'm thankful to GMA because it can be really an eye-opener for her to do good. I'm not saying she must do what she did back in time because I respect and accept that she have limits now but instead to just perform well; sing from her heart and from what she's comfortable range like what other lambs mentioned. Please MC do it, it's not 90's anymore where is all about big voices and songs, don't be too harsh on yourself. I assure everyone will be more glad if you will be true to yourself and will eventually love and see you as a legend as you must be.

And now, Ms. Mariah Carey (57,770) by Malcolm from Asia
For all that have been happening to her now most especially the fact that she is mostly on the top spot in "Greatest Of All Time" list of the Billboard, all the recognition, new ventures, performances, slayed outfits, slayed hair and all that, I just really feel and vibe that the next "Mariah Carey" album will be a hit. We all just need the consistency dahling.

Ariana Grande (57,461) by Malcolm from Asia
I don't know if I'm the only one who noticing these things on Ariana Grande but I'm seriously bothered. As far as I've known, she really loves Mariah when she first came out. She even said this "I love Mariah Carey. She is literally my favorite human being on the planet." She covers Emotions and AIWFCIY. It started all the comparisons and she always says that it is a good thing and she's flattered about it. But when her second album comes, all of a sudden, it changes. When she interviewed by a magazine and she has listed her most favorite singers, no "Mariah Carey" mentioned. She often mentions Whitney, Madonna and Celine in interviews and cover their songs. Claiming that Mariah is her idol, is that only a gimmick? Is that only a passage for the public to notice her? And now, she's shading Mariah like she "doesn't know her" but copying her career path:
- Duet with Michael Bublé
- Having an original christmas song and attempting to achieve the success of AIWFCIY (which she failed obviously)
- Copying MC's style of naming songs (ex. "Be My Baby", "My Everything", “Break Your Heart Right Back”)
- Some of MC's 90's outfits
- The iconic water scene in "My All" MV to her "Love Me Harder" MV
- Even the "Honey" choreo in her song "Problem"
- And last but definitely not the least and the most irritating thing for me, the usage of a font for all of her works
Honestly I love Ariana, but after her second album only her music is the thing I like about her. I just wish and hoping her team is the one who's responsible with these ridiculously things and not her. Mariah doesn't say any bad thing about her to do that, she must even pay respect to her because the "Mariah Carey influence" is literally obvious.

The Elusive Chanteuse Show ticket sales (57,098) by Malcolm from Asia
Is there anyone who knows the final ticket sales of "The Elusive Chanteuse Show"? I'm just got cunfused because "@CareyAdventures" on twitter is claiming that MC's 2014 tour sold more than any other tour in 2014. Thank you.

MC please surprise us (56,863) by Malcolm from Asia
I want Mariah to do a collaboration with Adele or Sam Smith. I think it's nice to have a surprise collaboration from them. I just wish later this year MC will surprise us with a collaboration either one of these two wonderful artist, together with a classic music video. It will surely be a brilliant ballad. Please MC, serve us one music this last few months before 2016. Wait, what happened to the Infinity remix (Why You Mad?)? I wish it will be included in JB's new album.

Re: Faded (56,758) (56,759) by Malcolm from Asia
Me too, I just love Faded so much. I think they really planned it to be a single but because of unfortunate events that time, it didn't push through. I will not complain if MC will put Faded in her next album, I think it will be nice. It will be similar on what she did in "Betcha Gon' Know" and "It's A Wrap" and she can release it as official single in next era. It's so beautiful that I can't accept the fact that it will not be heard and appreciated by the public.

Re: "Skinny sells" (56,507) (56,520) by Malcolm from Asia
The problem is, Mariah Carey is known for her perfect sexy body. Adele and Meghan Trainor started their respective careers with that body so the public accepts them. But for MC's case, she is one of the sexiest singers in the biz and all of the sudden, she gains weight and many people started to have disinterest in her music and this is the reality. Like what Katy said, the industry is shallow. Personally, I don't care if Mariah gains weight or not, the most important thing is her voice and her music. But if I will think as what general public and the industry wants, she must slim down and bring back her hot body for her to gain more popularity, hit singles and albums. Do you think Beyonce or Rihanna will have that popularity and followers if they are having more weight? I don't think so.

Must be well-respected MC (56,332) by Malcolm from Asia
Earlier, I read some articles about Beyonce and after I read this one, I cannot avoid but to think about Mariah. Beyonce and her team really puts effort on her image, every inch of the details are calculated, and now it benefits her by being highly respected of everyone. Beyonce is one of the few independent female artist that reflects to their image and as a whole. Yes, Mariah is independent but I only see it in a creative and artistic level and few people knows and recognize it. In past years, whenever Mariah had interviews, she is like unconfident with her statements and lacking on substance and affirmation. So I really commend her when she is having an article interviews like the recent ones, she is more expressive and professional. I know for sure that her publisher edits it when needed like what Beyonce's doing and that's not wrong because you have an image to take care of. As a legend like her, she really deserve to be highly-respected but she must do it on her own, because respect can't be demanded, it is earned. Now is the time for her to be mature when she's in public, lessen the ensembles, the diva-attitude and other things that puts her on critical "moments" because at her age, it's really not that good. I really admire Beyonce by saying this "I felt like I wanted to follow the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse and have my own empire and show other women when you get to this point in your career you don’t have to go sign with someone else and share your money and your success - you do it yourself." I really wish MC is like this and not depends on "epic" decisions that is uncertain.

"25 years of Mariah Carey" by Ebony (56,142) by Malcolm from Asia
Mariah Carey had really contributed to the music industry big time. I only wish Grammys have the respect for her and will name the "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Award" after MC because she really deserve it. If MJ have "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" then she must have that because she has like obviously created that trend. I'm disappointed that because of this "diva persona" of her and wrong management choices, her musical talent and contributions are always forgotten and Mariah Carey's name often highlights as a woman who always wear gowns, having weight issues, "not singing as she used to" and diva behavior. I always imagined that if Mariah's career are handled like Michael Jackson's and Madonna's, she will be highly respected of most of the people, artists, media and will get the same amount of reputation and acknowledgement. I think she will be even dubbed and known globally as "Queen of R&B Mariah Carey" like MJ and Madge as "King & Queen of Pop".

Why You Mad live performance (56,009) by Malcolm from Asia
"Why you mad" is not disappointing but I don't see it as a #1 hit I guess (if that's their target ) because for me, it's too much. The beats are too loud that it overpowered the vocals and I wish Mariah only include Justin and one rapper. T.I.'s verse is like a bad-rush addition to the original MC-Justin-French collaboration instead of improving it, but otherwise, the song is really radio/club worthy and suits for younger generation. But I wonder when they will officially release it so I think it's a good idea if Mariah, French, Justin, T.I. will premiere it live in VMAs, it could be really epic if they perform it together. If that happens, they must think how to deliver the song for it to become an impressive and cool performance. I suggest Mariah must wear an outfit like the one she wears on Kelly and Michael but a black color, sleeveless and overlay black pants with her hair straight (like on Triumphant MV). Imagine if Mariah will wear that in a performance, it can really bring back her hotness and will leave the haters in awe.

Infinity remix video / Lambily (55,717) by Malcolm from Asia
So I just checked French Montana's Instagram and based on his post, the video was done. I wish it is really good, let's wait and see. Personally, I like Infinity, but I must say the single version lacks of something and it looks like chopped and rushed. I think we must just be happy, stop the negativity because it doesn't help at all. This board always tend to find something negative on everything that MC does even though it's unnecessarily, as a lamb, it saddens me. Even though I really don't like to compare, but I just want to tell that I am a Beyonce fan too and when we are communicating, the beyhives, we are not like this, we are united. Yes, we sometimes disagree and debating on some things but we are not being shady with one another. I think that quality lacks on us, lambs. I don't want to argue anymore because as a fan who wants good vibes, good environment and fun, it is a waste of time and energy. Let's just please understand one another and communicate respectfully because all the happenings and drama are really putting our fan base in a negative mood and vibe and can affect some newcomer lamb's perception of what Lambily is all about.

Infinity remix probably (55,714) by Malcolm from Asia
So base on the videos linked by Mimi L., it's probably an Infinity remix and i'm not disappointed maybe because as what I've heard, it's pretty awesome. Whether it's gonna be a hit or at least crack the top 20, I don't really know but if not, it's really fine for me. One thing that MC proved to all of us on this remix (if it truly is) is whether it's a hit or not, she's not only the queen of Christmas but a legit queen of remix. And as I watched the videos of her and French, I must say she looks like in Charmbracelet era, she's glowing and happy. My only wish is that they have a remix video for it and it's already filmed when the song is released.

Mariah Carey collaborating (55,583) by Malcolm from Asia
So there is a Mariah-French-Justin collaboration and it is very exciting. I think if Mariah will release her new album in the next two years, it will be okay, just do a lot of "collaboration". It is a good format for the younger generation to know MC's sound. If she will continue it, I love 5-7 collab with different artists until she is ready to release her new album. I think she must do the collaboration thing constantly, at least once a year. I want MC to collaborate with these artist soon: Zedd & Major Lazer (It will be new for Mariah if she will do an official Electronic - Pop single), Fifth Harmony (remix of "Like Mariah" please), Beyonce (My Ultimate Dream), Lady Gaga, Katy Perry (I bet, it will be a very good pop song and duh, Katy is a Lambily 4lyfe), Ariana Grande (I know, but who knew? For the record, Mariah didn't say anything bad on her, it is just the fans who are always comparing them. Agree or not, Ariana has a beautiful voice, so definitely they will have a wonderful collaboration and also a dream come true for Ari.), Sam Smith (another fantastic collaboration and he is vocal for being a Mariah fan plus they are already communicating), Michael Jackson (If i'm correct they had an unreleased collaboration so I think this is the time to release that in another "posthumous" album of MJ but Mariah must re-record her vocals and add something for it to become a current and fresh song), Madonna (queens, it must need to happen). For you, who are your bets for MC?

Mariah Carey's stage presence (55,541) by Malcolm from Asia
But, one thing is really bothers me and I think it is normal and can really improve by her is her stage presence. I just notice that her movements when performing is not the true Mariah Carey on stage. She is conscious when moving but I think it is because of what happened to her last 2013 I think when she shoots for the spanglish remix of #Beautiful. After that incident, I really notice the change in her stage presence like she is sometimes nervous and the result of that is she is not owning the stage like she used to before. I just watch her "Save The Music 2005" performance of I'll Be There, and that is she really is when performing, you can feel the emotions, she is moving freely and owning the stage like on the 1000th level. I somewhat agree on the person who says that Mariah is now like a high school girl who has stage fright. But for me, she is more like a very talented high school girl but has a stage fright. After all, it can really be changed, she just must accept that she is having a problem performing on stage and be open for improvements or it can come back naturally, depends of how happy her life is.

Mariah Carey (55,538) by Malcolm from Asia
I just read the articles about the 2015 Icons Portfolio of MC and the review of Ryot about her Vegas Residency, and while i'm reading this two, I became emotional seeing the sympathy, respect, and treating her as a living legend. I'm so in love with her shoot for Harper's Bazaar as Marie Antoinette, we just saw another side of hers, the vibe, the "it's so suits her" costume and every detail of it, it is all on-point and unexpected. And for the Ryot's review, it is so emotional and uplifting as a fan of her. The whole review is very relatable and true, it is just the truth. I know all of us wants the best "for" Mariah, and "from" Mariah, but after all of this and that, after all the demands from her, she is just a human. Many of us became critical on every aspect of MC and I think this is the time that we realize and accept the new norm of her especially with her voice. If some of us feels irritated when she is not sounding like the 90's or the original recording, we can start realizing that even if it is happening, she is better among the majority of her colleague and the newer ones. It is what it is, but if she can bring back her old voice then it is grateful to have and to hear.
