I always feel like there was something special that lined up in the universe. I also love Velvet Rope and Older although that one unfortunately I didn't get into until years later. It's funny that you mention Kylie she's my current obsession and her CD is in my car stereo as we speak. I'm a newer fan so it's been a pleasure having an artist with an extensive catalogue to go through backwards. I've only gotten to 2000 lol. And don't think I can go too far back without it being too cheesy for me. Which album are you talking about? And alas Bedtime Stories will always have a special place in my heart. Fourth of July live (60,797) by enwar00 from usa I just read that Mariah sang some of Fourth Of July at the O2 concert. I just can't. I wish she would just do it. That may be my favorite song from my favorite album Butterfly. Now more than ever I wish she would do an Anti tour like Kylie did and just sing album tracks. I saw her Christmas show in December and in Vegas last month, and as many have mentioned this week as well, she sounded fantastic. Whatever was going on a couple years ago seems to be a thing of the past. Looking forward to hearing your view and hear which songs move you the most. Not everybody at these shows is on YouTube checking out her performances or critiquing her every move like members of the lamibily do. Many are casual fans that want to hear songs they know when they go see her. Especially since she hasn't toured in these markets for over a decade. It's more like reminding people about her and what she can do live. I felt that's how Vegas went also. I get where people are coming from and I would love to go to a Mariah concert at a theater and hear her perform many of her amazing album tracks. Some artists do shows more in that vain. Re: "Makin' It Last All Night (What It Do)" / "Mimi" (60,164) (60,181) by enwar00 from usa Billy I've thought that before and completely agree with you that Mimi would have sounded closer to what was started on some Charmbracelet tracks such as Subtle Invitation, live instrumentation and an old school 70s vibe. I like Makin' It Last better than the three bonus tracks you mentioned, however I love many of the other tracks that remained on Mimi and gave it it's overall sound such as Circles, Mine Again, Your Girl, etc. It's almost like half and half between these songs on the second half and the first half with the hits and more contemporary sound. Nobody knows exactly what someone else goes through. So in comparison to that, she is looking fresh as [censored]. Some people need to let it go and move on. Yes I'm a fan of J.Lo and enjoy her songs and movies, and would have seen her in Vegas last week when I was there if she was performing. She works her ass off and I'm sure she's not just sitting there plotting against our girl. But still I'm saying this objectively, it's not that serious. And yes, I do think that Idol messed up when Mariah was on Idol. They focused on and/or caused the drama, and that was kinda trashy and lame. (Wednesday 2 March 2016; 3:31)
