I'm so happy she made Glitter available everywhere. I understand she was embarrassed by the movie, but that soundtrack is nothing to be ashamed of. She gave us great vocals with killer remakes and awesome new songs. Glitter is just a cohesive masterpiece.

Re: I Don't (94,136) (94,144)
by Licia from USA

I haven't listened to I Don't since she released the song (a total of three times lol). I don't hate the song (Lord knows it was a huge step up from Crafinity), but it's not a song I just have to listen to. Plus I'm a little bitter she didn't capitalize on the opportunity to make a hot remix with Donell Jones himself. With her writing skills and his writing skills, that him vs. her duet would have been fire.
I can't complain about the video because I've never watched it. I knew from the initial preview it had the potential to be trash so I didn't waste my time.

I agree with Bill on Babyface. That would be awesome. You know I love me that Babyface and Mariah song writing and production combo.
I'm still mad at myself for not knowing Babyface was involved with Melt Away. I can hear his background vocals clear as day now. It only took me 24 years. Lol.

30 years ago I was 11 years old sitting in the backseat listening to the radio and I heard this beautiful voice singing this equally beautiful song that was so mesmerizing and magical. I was absolutely floored. I didn't care how she looked or what she wore, I just wanted to hear more. I ran home and found the cassette my sister had of this album (yes I stole it and never gave it back lol). From that day on I was hooked. I couldn't have asked for a better introduction than VOL.

I wasn't a fan of how she sang TTR, but I did enjoy MIH. I'm glad she participated and decided to help.

I keep seeing people raving about it on FB, but I haven't listened yet. Going to see if I get a chance tonight at work. I'm from Houston so I'm supposed to be going crazy because it's Beyonce, but no. I like some Beyonce songs, but I'm not a part of the crazy beyhive. I love Megan though. Lol.

It was the only video that made sense that era even though it was a rehash of the Bye Bye video with certain scenes.

1. Migrate - I'm not a huge fan of this one either, but since so many other fans like it, it might have done something. 2. Love Story - My number 1 fav from this album. Probably wouldn't have made an impact though. 3. Last Kiss - I just love this song (sorry, not sorry). 4. Thanx For Nothin - Another one that probably wouldn't have made an impact, but I think she could have remixed this one up nicely.

I'm waiting on Thanx For Nothin or Love Story. I'll definitely scream if she does Thanx For Nothin though. That's my 3rd fav from E=MC2.

This is a favorite performance. As everyone else has said she looked so free and comfortable. I miss her getting on stage and just having a good time. I would have loved a studio version of her doing this song. She did the SOS Band proud with this performance.

Re: Emotions album (93,724) (93,730)
by Licia from USA

When I listened to The Wind that one time it was super sad and depressed me. I was 13 or 14 years old when Emotions came out so maybe my age and hormones at that time played a huge factor in why I couldn't take that song. I have been trying to force myself for years to revisit the song, but I won't do it. It's so weird that after all these years I won't go near The Wind but I listen to sad and depressing songs all the time. Lol.

Bill I freaking love TTEOT. It has one of my favorite bridges. So you don't have to cyber fight me. That's one of the 3 Mariah songs I actually like. Lol.
The Wind is another story though. That's the only song on Emotions I've listened to once and never again. I can't listen to it.

I agree NFY is not joyful, but I love it. That's my favorite song. Although the lyrics are sad, the message is just beautiful. That Babyface assist always pulls me in too.

From the the feedback I've seen the "yelling" is why some don't like Your Girl yet they love Stay the Night which is scream fest 2005 to me. Lol. Lord knows I dislike the yell/sing she sometimes does (especially live), but it just fits on Your Girl.

I agree there were a few choppy moments, but for the most part she did good and I appreciate the effort. I'll take this over that He's Got The Whole World in His Hands challenge any day. Sorry she'll never live that one down for me. Lol.
Btw: I thoroughly enjoyed that Your Girl snippet. That's one of my favorite songs from TEOM. It was nice to hear something other than WBT from that album.

I had no idea Mariah even knew Joel Osteen. I never would have put them together. Kanye knowing him a actually makes more sense .Lol.
Anyway despite all that, as a healthcare worker (not a really important one, but they claim I'm essential lol) I appreciate what they are trying to do.
